   Food was average for being a high end steakhouse. Apps lacked flavor (calamari/onion rings). We had to wait a very long time between appetizer and main course. Staff was very friendly and professional.

   This was an amazing, fine dining experience and perfect for my boyfriend's birthday. You not only get a visual of the butchers at work when you first walk in, but many tables are right in front of the kitchen, which is covered by a wall of glass so you can see everything. I was more than impressed with their dry aged meats and selection of authentic Wagyu beef. The cocktail and wine list was stellar. We finished our meal with a flaming Heath dessert to die for! Our server topped off the evening with a birthday champagne and chocolates for my boyfriend. It was an excellent experience and perfect meal.

   Took almost 2 hours to get served. Our waitress apologized and told us a well done 8oz filet takes longer to cook on Saturday night. How ridiculous is that.

   Great food, terrific service. Far exceeded my expectations for a one-off casino restaurant in Tampa. We sat down near the end of the night and never felt rushed. The servers made the meal so enjoyable.

   For a steakhouse, Council Oak has some of the freshest seafood you can get anywhere. The quality is always top notch and freshness is obvious. I would recommend the seafood sampler for an appetizer. The Wagyu steaks are great as well. I have eaten there 25 times and never been disappointed!

    Great food and the service was outstanding, Not a great wine selection so the wife said but they had a wine she liked. For me being a bourbon guy was glad to see Knob creek on there list. Steaks were cooked perfect. The only down side is the place is not cheap, but most times in life you get what you pay for.

    My steak was overcooked and it took so long to get my new steak that I had them pack it to go. The server forgot my husband’s wine. He never did get it. Took too long between courses. This is my 4th or 5th visit to Council Oaks and the first time I’ve been disappointed.

    Casino was overcrowded, valet parking was full (so we had to park in the garage), we were seated on time for our reservation. Sadly, the smoke from the casino infiltrates the restaurant, and the food took 45 minutes to get to our table. For the price of food here, GO TO BERN’S or CHARLEY’S. You won’t be assaulted with smoke and have to walk through an overcrowded smoky casino to get there.

    As per usual, amazing service from the team! Vanessa helped direct us to the best parking garage when we called. While we briefly waited for our table, the chef in the front window engaged with us and made meat recommendations. Once at the table Kawka was friendly and always offered a smile. Dan was a fantastic server and the dinner service was seamless. Phillip the manager also came over to make sure everything was to our liking. Thanks for welcoming us back upon arrival and the Valentine’s Day treats. The team and food are why we come back each year for Valentine’s Day! Five stars for sure!

    The food was over priced. While we eat on a regular basis (10 meals a week), we don’t go big very often. When we do our expectation is high regarding food quality and we felt the porterhouse was average and the fish was overcooked.

    Layla, our server, was absolutely phenomenal as was Walter, the butcher. Walter took the time to explain about the different cuts of beef and what wine to pair it with. The service that Layla provided was five star for sure. Would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be going back!

    I know the restaurant is inside the casino but it is very smoky. The smell of cigarette smoke makes the dining experience much less enjoyable.

    WOW. This is a FIVE STAR RESTAURANT!!!! Our server Mark was amazing and guided us thru the menu. From the amazing cocktails, appetizers to main course, the food and service was excellent. Even the large variety bread basket was amazing. I can’t say enough about this place. Loved it

    Excellent service, ambiance and food! Great spot for any occasion in my opinion. Ordered the filet and lobster tail surf and turf and it was perfectly cooked. Also ordered the king crab legs, delicious as well. Somewhat on the pricey side but worth it for the quality. Also, really good wine selection and our server was amazing! I highly recommend.

    Came in for anniversary/ birthday dinner, the char on the filet mignon was a bit much and unfortunately scallops had to be returned due to over salting, but understanding the new chef had started, well simply wait a few weeks to return once he’s got the hang of it ! Bit pricey for meals for this evening but thanks to management taking care of it we’ll have another shot in future .

    With the pleasant surprise of a glass of bubbly for my wife’s birthday to start with , and the meal!! Excellent. The service , by Mark , was above and beyond !! One of the best waiters we have ever had !! Listens , and great conversations. Knowledgeable of menu and wines !! When we come back in February we will request Mark to be our only waiter !! That’s how good he is !! A definite place to make a reservation to!!

    The Council Oak is a hot! The service and food were on point. Our servers Chelsey and Niah were on the ball. The lamb chops are delicious and I highly recommend. The New York Strip was good too. I like the spinach side dish. If you are heading to the Hard Rock put this restaurant on your list. I like being able to see the chef preparing the food in the kitchen too. The lobster 🦞 was cooked to perfection.
