Highly recommend the tasting menu, great value and excellent service.
Coquette never fails to delight us.
This is our 4 or 5th time dining Coquette. We have dined as a couple, and twice with a large party of 8-10. This time we were a table of three, and we did the tasting menu for the first time. What a treat! No matter if you order a la carte or go for the tasting menu you will have a wonderful meal. The food is creative, perfectly prepared and presented. The space is lovely, the tables set apart so you can have conversation at a normal voice level. We dine here every time we visit NOLA, and will continue to do so.
Delicious and beautifully prepared food. Our oysters and cocktails were also excellent. Service was thoughtful, present, and unpretentious. The restaurant was a bit noisy but did not interfere with conversation or the pleasure of the meal. Overall this was fine dining at its best.
Food was outstanding. Service poor for a very nice restaurant. Couldn’t quite understand what happened. It started out nicely but then we were totally ignored. The very sweet girl bringing water and taking dishes was kind enough to take our order for more wine otherwise we would not have gotten any.
Coquette continues to serve high quality food with compassionate, excellent service. The blind tasting and wine pairing for March was incredible! We are looking forward to next month's blind tasting!
We had reservations but received a call warning that there would be a wait. Of course we were already on our way. But, once there the wait was longer than expected. They gave us a glass of wine and shortly thereafter we were seated. IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. We shared the smoked catfish dip and the Gulf Shrimp appetizer. The bread and butter—the butter is salted and delish. Then we shared the the short rib, the snapper and the murder point oysters. Everything was wonderful. No room for dessert. The “large plates” were not huge but I beg to differ with anyone who says they didn’t get enough food.
Service was excruciatingly slow. We were there for 3.5 hours for our prix fixe meal, with long waits between dishes. I had high expectations for the food, but they fell short. Some dishes were under seasoned, while others felt like they were missing elements. We were comped a wine pairing, so I think management was aware they were having an off night.
We came here to celebrate a big milestone and it was the perfect choice. The staff was lovely and every menu item (food and drink alike) was flawlessly done, creative but not outlandish, gorgeously presented, and absolutely delicious. This was arguably the best meal of my life. I can’t wait to come back.
Took my daughter to dinner here while visiting Tulane. Great meal, good pace, good service, wonderful atmosphere and we were able to walk back to our hotel on Saint Charles when it was done. All-around great experience.
Wonderful service and incredible food. Definitely leave yourself in their hands!!! We loved the tasting experience. Thank you!
I went here for my birthday with my husband. Our meal was delicious. The employees were all very attentive. Definitely recommend this restaurant!
possibly the best meal of my life.
The food was amazing. The pairings were perfect.
Tasting menu was a great experience, with every course even better than the last and great service all the way through.
Best meal we had in New Orleans and that is saying a lot in such a great food city.
The meal was excellent, as is expected at Coquette. The menu contained the usual, short list of offerings. However the offerings of cells were long on creativity and taste. Tableservice was somewhat sporadic. Ambiance great as usual.
simply one of Nola’s best restaurants. I’m consistently impressed!!
It was fabulous. The food was the best I’ve had in New Orleans in years.
We did the blind tasting menu along with wine pairing. The food was incredible and the pairings we're excellent as well. Service was great, attentive but not intrusive. They were able to accommodate a member of our party with several food allergies to be able to participate in the blind pairing.
If you like crowded, ultra-loud, limited option menu choices and slow service...you will like Coquette. The waitstaff were friendly in a perfunctory way, modestly attentive, if you could hail them before they turned and zipped away. Coquette prides itself on serving "locally sourced" fare, and the sources must be limited. All-in-all, for the prices charged, the scanty service and the supra-loud environment...well, there are many other options, even though they may not take such pride in trendiness.
The food was great!!! Definitely recommend it to others.
The grilled steak for two was perfectly cooked and was accompanied by broccoli florets prepared in a light tempura batter that everyone at the table agreed were the best veggies we’ve ever tasted. Beautiful decor and competent staff.
Came to town for Mardi Gras from New York. I try to stay up on restaurants and positive news/buzz. I heard coquette is a must go and it did not disappoint. I opted for the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Amazing experience all around. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town.
As usual everything from the food to the service was top notch.
Brunch was great. Nice location on magazine. Food (fried chicken) was perfect and the sides were great. I am picky about collared greens as I am proud of my own but these might have been better.
Our favorite brunch place, especially on Mardi Gras weekend.
I hadn't been to Coquette in quite awhile and this meal made me question why! Kevin was a fantastic server. I'll definitely be back soon.
The food and service were both excellent. This is our favorite neighborhood restaurant in New Orleans. Great chefs and great service.
I’m not exaggerating when I say that our entire experience was near perfect. We had difficulties getting there because of traffic. They accommodated us by moving our reservation, and doing everything possible to alleviate our stress without being asked once we finally arrived. Every dish was thoughtful and complex, and every staff member excellent and genuine. We hugged them all when we left and would return on any visit back to town. I’m not even a review writing type, but I stress that you must try Coquette.
The only reason they get 4 stars anywhere is because we had a 9:30 reservation and we were not seated until 10:30. That being said, they comp’d us a round of drinks and 2 appetizers as we waited.
The food was amazing and the staff was very attentive.
We had the chef’s tasting menu with the wine pairing. Highly recommend!!!
Portion sizes were a disappointment. Two dollar piece of snapper for 34 dollars. Spent 232 dollars for 3 and left hungry. Smallest desert size I’ve ever seen. Ping pong ball scoop size of ice cream.
Best meal we had while in NO
Loved our dinner and our server
Will come again when we come again
So lucky to have this restaurant in the neighborhood!
Beautiful interior. Fabulous service. Flavorful and unique local and sustainable dishes. Delicious!!! Highly recommend!!!! Very classy place!
Fabulous food fabulous experience!
A bit of a dreary experience. The receptionist was very nice, the waiter a bit remote and ineffective. The food was ordinary at best. I had a watery hot & sour stew that was more soup-like than a stew. That was proceeded by baked oysters that had odd garnishes, maybe capers and onions, that overpowered the oysters. I ordered a second drink half way through the meal and finally cancelled it when I was finished eating and the drink had not yet arrived. The other three in my party were similarly unimpressed. The restaurant has two floors with the bar on the first, so we opted for the second floor that was less noisy. The décor is bland and a bit cold. I cannot recommend this restaurant.
This was my favorite restaurant. Away from crowds. Fish was perfection. Had a rice like a risotto with popcorn and jalapeño that was a perfect portion and subtle flavors as appetizer. Our waitress was a gem. Wine was divine. But the bread.... the bread was so fresh and the butter ...that’s really when u can say the restaurant is great: good bread is a good sign . And that’s all you need: Bread and wine. No dessert for us but we had enough food.
Very limited menu. Very pleasant staff.
