In town for a wedding. Second time we have been to Coquette. Wouldn’t have missed it. Chicken is the best fried chicken anywhere with biscuits and deviled eggs! What? So good!
We love Coquette
5 stars is not enough for Coquette. Best restaurant we have eaten over the last three years visiting New Orleans. We had the blind tasting for the meal and the wine. Everything was perfectly timed and tasted. Loved so much we came back for their fried chicken and Sunday brunch.
Great appetizers, entrees and cocktails. Would have liked a bit more vegetables with the entree. The deconstructed coconut cake fell flat. No coconut flavor and cake was ripped into chunks. Not a fan of the outdated deconstructed dessert.
Hilariously small portions - food is average and way too expensive
Wonderful ambiance and location. Terrific team of professionals! The food is nothing less than exquisite. Fried Chicken with all the trimmings and the Shrimp and Grits were unforgettable - do not miss the opportunity for lunch or dinner at Coquette!
Food, atmosphere and service was great!!!
Amazing! Great dishes all around...we didn’t order enough but it was all super tight
The service was excellent, our waitress went out of her way to find the moscato wine on our party was asking for. She was available to check in and yet gave us space to relax. This just was not the type of venue for us. Mostly a bar scene with and endless selection of drinks ,beer and wine and a small section for food or small plates. My husband ordered the chicken which we all stared at the plate when it arrives; three thin strips of chicken over a vegetable zucchini mix. The portion was amazingly small for the price. Tow do us had the beef brisket which was fine nothing that blew us out of the park. The flavors were not special, nothing danced on our tongues. The last plate was the eggplant which was fine but again nothing I’d order again. The ambiance was fun and hip and the crowd younger. Probably a great spot for after work meeting friends and maybe having one of the dips with your beverage. Just not the dining spot for us tourist
Outstanding attentive friendly warm personalized service.
Delicious farm to table tasty food.
Quiet candlelight ambience - perfect for celebrating a special occasion with the love of your life
Fantastic meal! Great service. Waiter talked me into trying things I wouldn’t have normally ordered and they were fantastic! Continues to impress every time I go.
We had a deliciously wonderful experience over dinner in the beautiful second floor dining room...highly recommended!
Wonderful, as always! Our waiter was great...he was very knowledgeable and helpful! My red snapper dish was perfection!
Food was excellent!
Price/value a bit expensive for the Large Plate that seemed a bit small.
Noise very very loud. All hard surfaces that bounce the sound. No sound absorbing material used in the design.
Food and drinks were fine, not really that special or anything to write home about. We had the blind tasting menu as recommended in reviews but weren’t impressed. Maybe a little too hyped.
From the second we walked in the door to the second we left the service was superb. Everything and everyone was delightful. Food outstanding!!!! I just can't say enough our very best meal in New Orleans. 5 stars without question but relaxing, come as you are or dressed to the nines! Will definitely be back next time in town.
This is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Coquette was on point from beginning to end in every way. Highly recommend.
Excellent date, great food and wine
Food was amazing, some of the best I’ve ever had (and we live in Chicago). Server was incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuine, took time to talk to us about neighborhood and even gave us a written list of recommendations for places to go while we were in town. Would recommend Coquette to anyone going to New Orleans.
Beautiful restaurant, very stylish. Small but inventive menu. Great service.
Had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. The food was great and service was really good.
Cute place on Magazine Street. High ceilings, beautiful bar, and delicious food. We had a table in the corner windows, which was nice. In the corner, there are doors leading out to the street. They have these closed off, which is nice but they need a better sign. Throughout our meal, folks kept coming up to yank on the doors.
Everything about Coquette was A+++! Attentive service suited the lovely ambiance of this restaurant that could easily swing from casual to special occasion depending on your mood. Everything we ordered was special and unexpected - down to the salted butter for the homemade bread! Wine pairing were spot on and the margarita was one of the best I've ever had - and I'm from Texas! The portions were modest but beautifully presented and the right amount to share: Catfish Dip with chimichurri, summer squash and sourdough crackers, Grilled Gulf Shrimp with remoulade and gremolata, and a duck entree that had both breast and confit with a festival of flavor dollops making each bite come alive in a uniquely delicious way. We finished the dinner with the coconut cake and lemon cheesecake: spectacular finish a spectacular dining experience!
My partner and I eat out often, this meal was a special occasion and it was perfect. No really--perfect! The food an service was exemplary and I've already suggested it to several friends.
Great place to take out of town guests who want a neighborhood experience and excellent food with a distinct NOLA twist. We locals can indulge as often as we can afford the bill and the calories. It's rich food in every sense.
First time visiting NOLA and so glad to have found this restaurant in an area where tourists do NOT venture. Came here for lunch on Friday and the food, service and ambiance were faultless. Wife and I had the catfish dip, smoked trout roe, grilled shrimp (app), charred okra (app) and the cinnamon cruller - each executed perfectly. Wish we were a larger party so could try more. The staff was warm, super attentive and wonderful.
Croquette is a must-go.
Really excellent restaurant : the cuisine is really subtle and full of flavor and the service is perfect. One thing only that was a bit odd is that they bring us a bottle of wine that was not the one we ordered and ended up being way more expansive. Maybe we should have notice that the bottle was different when they presented it but both names where really similar and we thought that it was the bootle we ordered (a "Côte du Roti from the Rhone region" vs a "Côte du Rhone"). I asked them to pay for the bottle we wanted first (the cheaper one) and at first they wanted us to pay the really expansive bottle. I told them ultimately they did the error first, so we ended up paying the cheaper price (fortunately).
They had one vegetarian entree on the menu. I asked the server if there were any other options. He said they could do summer sauce over stewed okra. It was quite terrific. It would be nice to have more vegetarian options. There was also a cocktail with mezcal that was fantastic. Always have a great experience at coquette!
Beautiful restaurant. The food is creative— trout roe with potato chips ( better with bread), Louisiana rice with popcorn and crabmeat ( spicy) was unique and delicious. Deboned chicken was undercooked ( no pink chicken for my friend, please).
Hostesses are delightful. Unfortunately , the bartender ( our server) was inattentive and rarely made eye contact.
Excellent food and service! Daniel was our delightful waiter and he made perfect dinner recommendations and expertly paired wine with each course. Everything was perfect!
We've eaten here several times for dinner but this was the first brunch for us. Menu is somewhat limited but we had the whole fried chicken platter to share with 3 people plus gumbo and shrimp and grits. Everything was delicious and there was enough to take home! Waiter was super.
Absolutely fabulous. In my opinion, the best restaurant in New Orleans.
For brunch I went here years ago and had the best brunch. They should not advertise as brunch now as only one egg dish on the menu. Very disappointing for brunch. This is however a good place for lunch.
More fabulous than words can convey
I REALLY REALLY wanted to just LOVE this restaurant. I absolutely LOVED the ambiance and location but the menu was very limited and the food was not up to par. I had a significant amount of large, hard crab shells in one of my dishes. The best part was the bread/butter service, the bar, and the atmosphere. Will have to go back when/if the menu changes
Sat down and didn’t know what to order. Was very happy when I decided to get the short ribs, they were great and the plating was beautiful.
Excellent dinner and terrific service!
Been to this restaurant many times and always a good experience but it had been several months. This time I and my dinner mates was very disappointed. The menu was very small. We had 2 small plates and 3 large plates. Everything seemed like they were trying too hard. I like interesting flavor combinations but some of these didn't work well. One of our guest doesn't eat spicy food so we asked about the rise dish which said it had jalapeno and were told it wasn't spicy at all. It in fact was, and wasn't very good. There chicken was so so. The eggplant large plate was good. The deconstructed desserts were a bust. Overall not as good as it had been.
Very attentive service. Lovely food, had the grilled gulf shrimp was amazing, I also had the shortrib, melt in your mouth.. and the deconstructed coconut cake is the bomb! One must get.
I look forward to dining there the next time I'm in town.
Great food and service. Terrific place to have a meeting because it is quiet and private.
