The tasting menu is wonderful. Each course was paired wonderfully well with exceptional wines. It was a delicious meal!
We had an awesome meal at Coquette! Our son had recommended it and we were so glad we went there. One of our best meals in NO!!
The tasting menu was amazing! Fresh ingredients (at least they seemed so), great presentation and great service. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a date night/anniversary spot.
The five course “blind” tasting menu was outstanding - well timed, perfectly portioned, and a lovely sampling of the menu as well as some specials.
i always have an amazing time at coquette, and this recent visit did not disappoint. their menu varies and they are so accommodating to any special dietary requests! our server made great wine recommendations and explained the dishes very well. highly recommend the carrots!
Everything was delightful. Excellent food (short rib was exquisite!), fabulous service, great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Family style fried chicken platter for the win. I have never seen this before on a menu; fabulous idea. Everything was delicious, the food, drinks, wine. Service was impeccable. We had a blast. Thank you!
The food is amazing and the staff is so kind and attentive!
The food was outstanding! We had the 5 course tasting and it did not disappoint in any way. That’s where the compliments end!! When arriving and seated at the table next to the door on a chilly evening we asked to be seated anywhere not near the door. The manager then tells us he will “have to lock the doors so we can have our choice seat” or he will “light a fire” next to our table to keep us warm. That was his only solution to a 6:15 reservation to a very open restaurant. Instead of treating us like we were some kind of divas he had many other opportunities to serve which he did not!! That was just the beginning to terrible service which we even had to ask for our last wine paring because they forgot. The food was so fresh and seasoned and delicious but Do not waste your time here when you can get both amazing service and food at August or just about any other John besh restaurant in town!
Awesome as always
My girlfriend and I went there for our engagement meal since it's our favorite restaurant in Nola. We both got the tasting menu (cocktails instead of the paired wine). The experience was top notch as usual; amazing food, great service, and great atmosphere. I would and do recommend this restaurant to everyone!
We loved the whole visit to Coquette. The small plates menu was just what we wanted. Cocktails (and specialty whiskeys and others) were yummy, menu and cooking were perfect, and at one point or another every member of the staff came by to serve, advise or just chat! Loved it!!
Beautiful decor, attentive service. Food was eclectic and very tasty.
My absolute favorite restaurant - esp the tasting menu and letting the chef create with local ingredients as well as the wine pairings and learning all about the wines. Ambience is great and staff is wonderful. Went for bday last and we were definitely celebrating and the “loud ones” that night so hope we didn’t make too much of a scene but they made us all feel so special and catered to us as usual!!!!! Highly recommend this place to visitors and locals!!!
Great meal, service, value. Bravo
We had the tasting menu recently and it was absolutely fantastic ! Also come here a good bit for brunch which is also outstanding. Highly recommended for both dinner and brunch.
Food, service was mediocre at best. Won’t be going back.
We were unprepared for Coquette's brunch menu. There wasn't much selection, and what was there was not appealing. I don't think that the restaurant's fault, but rather ours for not checking the menu out before we went. It's a beautiful restaurant and the service was good. We got the fiend chicken and it was very good.
Very good tasting menu and wine pairing.
Absolutely amazing. Tasting menu was the best we’ve had!
Service and food were very good. Wife is a vegan and they were very accommodating. My
only complaint was the noise level. I was hard to carry on a conversation
Tasting menu w wine pairing interesting, GREAT wines to complement food. SO RICH menu, i didnt eat anything next day. Our "extravagant" meal of trip and a good choice for that.
Wow! Very innovative cuisine. Rabbit pate was an intriguing taste treat and the sweet and sour pork exploded with flavor!
I did the put it in our hands sampling. It was a cool experience, had some things I wouldn’t normally pick but I like to try new things and the one thing that I really liked fits into this category so that one was a win. The thing I liked a lot had lobster and braised cabbage. I am normally not a fan of lobster but this dish was really good. The rest of the fair was pretty good but not mind blowing. I would go back but the sampling was probably a one time deal.
WOW . What a wonderful place. the food was great, the wine pairing by the Sommelier was spot on. kudos to him and the Chef . The staff was great. We did the blind tasting with the wine pairing. They explained each dish, the wine that they chose and wine. it was our favorite meal in New Orleans and that's saying a lot. If you get the opportunity go to this Gem of a place. If you only have one splurge in New Orleans make it Croquette. if possible do the tasting with the wine pairing . you wont be disappointed.
Loved every moment of being there
One of my favorites when I’m in NOLA.
Delicious food. Great space. Food was really rich but so tasty. We had brunch but would love to go for dinner.
Coquette made our anniversary unforgettable from the moment we entered to the moment we left. Service and food were amazing!
Food was exceptional
Coquette was disappointing for us. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and while the wines were decent, the pairings were off and the food was mediocre. We started off with a simple but delicious winter salad with a cashew creamy dressing and my favorite wine of the night, a sparkling Austrian white. We loved it and were excited for more. The second course was a disappointing followup unfortunately: a cooked sausage with a few season-less garbage pieces. Texture was weird, it was greasy and it looked like 3 days leftovers. Wine was not great either, an overwhelmingly oaky Chardonnay, but the sausage dish really ruined the experience.
Next, we had a red snapper fillet, not bad but nothing to write home about - bland after the greasy sausage experience. The pairing was a French rose, which was an interesting choice and we enjoyed it.
After the snapper, we had a slow cooked short rib with a creamy, overly fatty puree which really was disappointing as the short rib was already super heavy. We didn't finish the dish. The wine pairing didn't make sense for such a dish, as the medium body Chille red was unable to sustain the heaviness of the dish.
After the savory part o the meal we had a beautiful palette cleanser - a citrusy winter flavored sorbet. Delicious. In fact the desserts were the saving grace of this meal as both the drink and the final dish (a chocolate pudding, beautiful texture) were pretty good.
Now, were they enough to make the $500 bill worth it? Unfortunately, no.
A mediocre food preparation, regardless of beautiful serving plates and presentation, or impecable customer service, is just mediocre food.
Besides the meal, the restaurant is very nice and the service was excellent. My only advice is, if you decide to go here on a colder night ask for a table in the back or upstairs, as those in the front by the door get hit with the cold breeze every time the door opens, which can be very unpleasant.
We had the half chicken and it was delicious and more than enough for 2. Service was outstanding.
Wonderful cocktails expertly made. Carrot carbonara out of this world.!
WONDERFUL AND UNIQUE FOOD, Look forward to returning some time!
Excellent as always
Loved the tasting menu! Each dish was better than the last. It was a great way to spend a.date night.
Great quality food at competitive prices. Highly recommended!
Fantastic meal. Wish we could have ordered everything on the menu.
Always a perfect experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The food is consistently perfect and the atmosphere is lovely upstairs or down. Do not skip dessert, the pastry chef is top notch!
