It’s Coopers Hawk. Always wonderful
We took our friends to dinner for a special Christmas celebration. My husband and I had the Fall special. Tenderloin medallions and lobster tail. The beef was very good but the lobster was not cooked. I was very disappointed since I chose this entry because of the lobster. I would have chosen a different entry. The service was very good as was the wine.
Last 2 visits here have been poor. Steak last night was very over cooked and food took 45 minutes to come out making us late to our next event after dinner. Previously have loved this restaurant however with 2 poor visits in a row we are considering not coming back
Best food we have eaten in a long time. Server was excellent.
Everything is delicious. You can’t go wrong no matter what you choose.
Great food, great people, great environment and most importantly, great wine !
Perfect evening. One hour for wine tasting. Brandi was very helpful with our tasting.
Going to this restaurant was a splurge, but we figured we could draw the meal out and it would be a sit-down, 2-hour experience. The food was excellent. The wine was spot-on. We hesitatingly ordered our food at the same time as our appetizers, but our server said he would be sure they didn’t come out on top of each other. But we weren’t halfway through our appetizer when the meal came out. It was almost cold when we got to it after our appetizer. And the entire experience was just under an hour. If we had had better service and a longer time to enjoy our meal, the evening would have been 5 stars easily.
We love coming down to the Plaza when we visit KC. Love your restaurant and we were happy to find out they have one in St. Louis ( and another one on the way
Appetizers and wine were all great and the service excellent.
Great selections on food and the wine experience was fun, creative and full of flavor. Desert was awesome as well, go check it out if you have not!
Great Date night with my new husband. We will be back
This is the second time that we have had a dinner or appetizer and the food was cold and not very good at all. I was not happy with is at all.
Excellent as always. Only complaint is that they had the dining room with the view of the Plaza lights closed, it was not in use and it is holiday season. Boo!
Nice evening out with my husband.
We were asked if it was a special occasion and we said anniversary when making the reservation on line. When we arrived we were greeted with Happy Anniversary.
Nothing more was said by waiter. Guess we expected a free dessert!
We live in Lees Summit and are looking forward to dining at your new location when it opens. When opening, to be a success, pay attention to the little things, being greeted promptly by waiter, water refills, etc. We are spoiled diners and that is where we return again and again.
Disappointed there was no bread. Food was not very warm when it was served. Steak medallions were not cooked the way they were ordered. Server didn’t come t the table after our food arrived to check in things. Food didn’t come out all at the same time. This was our worse experience at Cooper’s hawk. It was disappointing because we brought out of town guests with us and it was not impressive.
Always enjoy dining at Cooper's Hawk. This time did not disappoint. Food was plenty and delish. Server was in training and did a great job.
My husband and I made reservations for dinner. We are wine club members and have been for years, so when we get the chance for a date night Cooper’s Hawk is always our go to!
Shortly after we were seated a party of 6 was seated right next to us. Upon the hostess seating these guests one of them arrogantly stated “Oh these people are going to hate us we are going to be so loud!” Which in return, they were overly loud and very obnoxious. Throwing out profanities and even broke 2 wine glasses within a short time frame. Our server was amazing but to take our order we had to loudly repeat ourselves numerous times just for her to hear us over this rambunctious group. When my husband and I can’t even have a conversation over dinner it’s an issue.
The manager was great and moved us to a different table in another dining area. While we were moving the primary guest made the comment very loudly “Look we’re making them move!” While the group laughed. We’ve been loyal patrons at Cooper’s Hawk and have never had this type of issue, it’s always been a great experience. Unfortunately this rowdy group made our visit and other’s around us not so enjoyable. Management and our server did their best to fix the situation, we are thankful for them!
We realize the pandemic had caused a shortage of staff but our waiter was less than informative, helpful or talkative. Our daughter’s chicken finger children’s meal arrived 10 minutes after our meal and all food was luke warm.
Nice experience with, good food & wine, great location during the holidays to experience the plaza lights
Brussel sprouts appetizer is my favorite!
Food was amazing. Very fresh and different flavors. The table we were at was VeRY dark that even our adult kids (21) had to use flashlights. But the food was Phenomenal. The atmosphere is very noisy because of the different levels of space.
Plaza lighting ceremony.
Our server(Nicole B) was wonderful.
I ordered the thanksgiving plate. The plate came with 3-4 nice slices of turkey placed over stuffing, mashed potatoes/gravy and green beans and the meal looked great. However, also hiding underneath the turkey slices was two globes of dark, yucky, turkey scraps connected by a few 2-3 inch strands of connective tissue. Upon seeing this, my appetite vanished. The turkey scraps should have been thrown into the garbage and never placed on a dinner plate.
This experience was an aberration, as we have dined there many times before with meals prepared to perfection. We will return, but I seriously doubt that I will ever order the thanksgiving plate again.
Great food. Loved the Thanksgiving meal. Joined the wine club.
Went here for thanksgiving dinner and it was great food and wine were outstanding. Would highly recommend for anyone to go on thanksgiving or any day.
We had a new waiter named John. He did a great job taking care of us. Thanks John
Dinner and service was great. Only small issue was it was a later dinner, I asked for another glass of wine and was told “my bartender up here already shut down”. When we left there were other areas of the restaurant where wine was still being poured. Just felt as if server didn’t want to take an extra step for us. Other than that, one of our favorite places to dine!
Thanksgiving eve dinner in Kansas City, delicious meal that even our 8 month old enjoyed the beef short ribs!!
Our server, Michelle, was outstanding. Very polite, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. It was also great to see Kim, a hostess, again!
Upscale and gorgeous for sure. Food---very good and lots of options. I thought the service was meh...I ordered a cherry coke...they never refilled it and then I had to ask for it to be refilled and they never brought me one. That disappointed me a lot.
