We dine here about 4-6 times per year. If this had been pre-COViD, I would have given one less star in all categories. But, since most restaurants have been open only for about 2-3 weeks, they need a couple more weeks to get back to “fighting shape.” We have dined out about twice per week since restaurant re/openings as they need our support. The other common experience at all restaurants appears to be less selection with price increases. Will prices return to pre COVID? Not holding my breath. Will just dine out less frequently.
My wife and I went to the Wed night 3 course steak and lobster tail since they reopened from Covid. Excellent wait staff and meal paired with a bottle of Mossback Chardonnay.
Wonderful dinner! We chose the Wednesday evening prix fixe steak and lobster dinner. From the moment we entered the door until we left, we felt safe (everyone was masked), the service was impeccable, and the food and drink were superb. We chose from two salads, three entrees and had the chef's dessert. The house salad was nicely presented with a light vinaigrette dressing. The steak and lobster were accompanied by several spears of asparagus and an au gratin potato side. The dessert was a delightful parfait of ice cream, cheese cake, strawberries, and crumbles. Everything was just right, and blended together well. The pinot noir and cabernet by the glass were very good also. We will return!

Only problem is you would not allow us to drink the wine we brought with us which I definitely disagree with. If the issue is you don’t want your people to touch the bottle. Charge us the corkage and ask us to open ourselves.
Usually have the Piedmontese filet. Not available but was told that an Australian cut was comparable. Nope. I couldn’t eat it and gave it to my husband. Baked potato was outstanding as was our server.
Steaks were a amazing, mushrooms also!! Will be back for sure

Recently re-opened per CDC guidelines, I highly recommend, Katy attended to our table of four expertly and even went beyond for our friends celebrating the anniversary. We have been to the Continental many times before, the food remains excellent.

Continental did a remarkable job after being open only 3 days after Coronavirus. Service was excellent. Food for all diners was very good. Ambience and noise were problematic at the bar due to very large and loud fans.
Dinner at the Continental is not just a meal; it’s a experience! The service is top notch and the food is glorious delicious! It’s always our celebration night dinner!
We were there for re-opening night. All staff in masks, place was immaculate. Made us feel totally comfortable and the food was as great as always. Time to return.

We have dined at the Continental many times. It is usually very good. Tonight it was terrible.
First we were greeted with the news the corkage fee had been raised to $50 a bottle! While we expected to pay a $30 corkage fee as we have in the past this was an unexpected and unpleasant surprise. The restaurants' website does not even list a corkage fee let alone any change in amount from past practice. The Open table menu does note a corkage fee is in effect but nothing about the price or any change to past practice. The meal continued with both steaks served over done, one ridiculously so. The steak was taken away and redone correctly but we had to ask for the potatoes to be replaced as they were not. They just disappeared. The ordered béarnaise sauce had to be requested again and did not arrive with the meal. Nothing was comped and no one really seemed to care, or even recognize, that the experience was less than satisfactory. The music being played in the outdoor dinning area was heavy metal, which was a poor choice and most peculiar as nearly all the clientele was, and usually is, over 50.
This experience was so utterly bad that with so many other good restaurants to choose from in Naples, we will think twice, and then again, before we return. Unbelievable!

I have been to Continental many a time. When I arrived as usual with my own bottle of wine, and knowing what the corkage fee was, I was informed they had raised the corkage fee to $50. I found this unacceptable. Was told it was because to many people were bring their own bottle. I guess it didn’t dawn on Continental management that maybe their wine list was over marked up. My decision was to leave and not dine there
Another establishment nearby gladly took me in and I enjoyed a delightful meal and my wine
This was our first visit to The Continental and it was great. The food was excellent and Tyson did a wonderful job taking care of us.
