The food was fantastic, as usual. Even though it was only curbside survive, you can tell it was prepared with the highest standards when we unpackaged it at home!

We come in from Longview, TX once a year.
Last year we had dinner, it was outstanding.
This year Sunday brunch, also outstanding.
Next year we will do both.

What a wonderful meal. I really enjoyed the whole dinner including the drinks. My server was a bit grumpy but I suppose I can totally relate with all of the Coronavirus stuff going on. So, overall a wonderful meal!

Interesting Caribbean food. The snapper collar was delicious. The passion fruit sauce on the Cobia crudo was fresh and tangy.

This was the best dining experience we have ever had, period.

Hospitality, for me, is the idea of everything being done with intention. With pride. With extraordinary grace and genuine care. From the moment we entered and were greeted by the hostess (apologies I forgot her name - but a black Queen with braids), to our time at the bar (we enjoyed a drink as we were early for the resi), to the excellent team service with Nicole taking point, thru our end of meal chat with Harrison; everything was perfect. There was no wasted motion, no halting of care, and no lack of hospitality. The entire crew was genuinely grateful and proud to work at Compère Lapin. The. Entire. Crew. We even had a brief interaction with the gentleman manning dish - who was excited we were in and thrilled our experience was so great (I watched him from the bar, he was brilliant. At 8p in the thick of service his area looked like he had just opened. Kudos brother!) As someone from the hospitality world, I cannot stress how rare it is for the entire crew to hum so. Such love and passion can only come from the very top. So, thank you Nina and crew.

The food was beautifully presented, and elegant in its simplicity. Not to say it wasn’t complex! It all just sang with such balance and love. ‘Twas Brilliant.

Idk. Everything was amazing. I could ramble and such, but just go yourself. Experience true hospitality. Savor a meal executed flawlessly. Imbibe on cocktails that are art. Interact with beautiful people running a phenomenal restaurant. Just go live and enjoy the experience.

We cannot thank you all enough crew - spot on, Cheers!

First, never before have I ever hit a brunch spot without bacon!!!! Second of all, the server was having the worst day of her entire life. To say that we were a major inconvenience to her, is an understatement. So sorry to burden you.

Unfortunately, the negative first impression and attitude at the host stand upon arrival shadowed the entire experience. We have eaten here several times (at the bar) and had a great experience.

Everything was great service & food. The noise was better than most. You could actually have a conversation . The only thing that we encountered was that our waitress could not bring out any bread with our wine. She said the chef would not allow that, but only when our food came to the table.

Go figure!!!!!!!

Always outstanding. The pasta with the rundown sauce is a great combination of shrimp and tomatoes. The pasta is a treat. The jerk chicken with collard greens was outstanding! Great service. Thanks Compare Latin!

The food and service were excellent. Delicious wine and unique menu choices. The tuna appetizer was particularly good. I would definitely eat here again and will recommend to friends.

Technically competent execution. The jerk chicken was simply an excellent roast chicken - sadly, I could not identify any pimento or scotch bonnet whatsoever. Same with the adobo pork - very well executed and tender, but well...bland. Better to call it braised pork. Still looking for the smoked bone marrow in the cow heel soup. The celery meringue was delightful and innovative, but the soursop semi freddo lacked actual soursop flavour. Maybe dining anywhere in NOLA on Ash Wednesday is a risk, I’ll admit. Having travelled from NYC to eat Nina Compton’s food, it was heartbreaking to be underwhelmed.

Our server, Kimberly, was fantastic! She bery knowledgeable of the food and drinks. She answered all our questions. Food was delicious. We sat in the back, the music was louder in the front. But, yeah, it was Mardi Gras! Overall we had a great dining experience and we will definitely be back! 😃

Great restaurant. Awesome and attentive staff. Fresh oysters from the Gulf were great. Both entrees really were awesome. Creative menu. Some drinks were much too pricey for their value; I'm looking at you Copper Bunny. Music was a bit too loud and I wasn't expecting to hear pop rock.

My husband had a shrimp ceviche for appetizer that he couldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was. We both had grilled snapper that we actually discussed going back the next day and ordering AGAIN. Impeccable, professional service. Will definitely eat here again

I simply can't say enough about the staff at Compere Lapin. The food and beverage program speak for themselves and are certainly worth the trip, but it's the staff that makes the visit something special.

The food is very good. We really enjoyed every dish we had. However, the room was freezing cold and could not take off our coats during dinner. This was February! We mentioned it to the waitress but I don´t think she took any notice. The service was OK.

Amazing meal at Compere Lapin! Our waitress, Alex, was kind, helpful, and attentive. The seasoning on the spiced pig ears was so delicious and paired very nicely with the aioli. Conch croquettes and dirty rice arancini were also great, it's hard to choose a favorite. Highly recommend the marinated shrimp and the curried goat, both of which were phenomenal.
