The food was outstanding, although since everything was a la carte, the overall cost was higher than expected based on other ratings. Nonetheless, I would recommend it—so long as you knew what kind of cost to expect.
Great food. Goat stew outstanding. So were the apps; beef tartare and hamachi.
The dinner was, as always, outstanding. The menu changes pretty regularly, although a few of the staples remain on the menu. Even these will get updates depending on seasonal availability and to keep things fresh. The service was very good; although our waitress was a bit busy with a rather rowdy large group a few tables over, she was extremely attentive and took very good care of us. The manager checked on us several times during the meal, and this is pretty consistent with every visit we've had. We try to go approximately once a month, as the food and service is consistently outstanding. We look forward to our next visit, as well as trying out Ms. Compton's future ventures!
Had to wait 25 mins past reservation time.
Waitress was very personable & knowledgeable. But then missed my husband’s glass & poured a good half a glass of our $82 bottle of wine on my husband’s entree. She earnestly apologized, and said she would take care of us. She came out later w/ a free dessert, one we didn’t even have a choice of, whereas we would rather have had my husband’s entree comped since half of his meal was truly soaked in red wine.
Overall, the appetizers and one of the entrees were beautifully prepared but the chili oil/spice overpowered the fish dishes and the palate. Lilette and Brigsten’s food & dining experience outshone in almost every aspect that mattered.

Hated that I missed Nina, I wanted an autograph for my Garden & Gun magazine that did a feature article on her. NONETHELESS, the food was delicious and the atmosphere perfect. Service was professional and patient with my 16 year old who wanted a steak. She ate every last bit of the chicken and brussel sprouts. A truly great evening.
Just outstanding in every way. Absolutely the best food I ate in NOLA. Professional comfortable service. Really nice vibe, can’t wait to return.
As seen in the November/December issue of Garden and Gun.. We were so excited to check this place out. Fantastic!!! The bar tending staff had such a flare and great smiles. The food was quite an incredible experience. Inventive and Award Wining. So excited, like a fan, we were able to get the Chefs autograph. We will be back from Texas as soon as the weather gets warmer.
