We always love dining at Chops. It's one of our favorite places. Food is consistently good.
We usually sit in the bar but invited another couple to join us so we sat at a table. It was a busy lively place. We had fun and our waitress Donna was very good. The food is always good!! We will be back soon!
Excellent service and food.
We have been there several times and have always been happy. This time, we got one of those servers who was having a bad day or maybe a bad life. Over dramatized every situations, snippy answers, rolling of the eyes, etc. we understand that it is March, the busiest month of the year, in an economy where it is very hard to find labor so restaurants cannot be too picky with their hiring standards. We did not enjoy our evening but we will be back.
For dinner we had the calamari, beat salad, filet mignon, trout. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
I had the black grouper, it was $50. I thought it was a little pricey for Black grouper but gave it a try. It was mediocre, I enjoyed it but did not think it was worth the price. BTW, when I said to the server ‘ the black grouper is a little pricey, is it really that good?’ His response was ‘I don’t make up the prices.’
Tracy our watress was fantastic,
The meal was excellent.
The flavors were wonderful. I had the new England clam chowder..wow. The filet mignon was great too. Thete were four of us catching up since we hadn't been together for a while, the waitress was very attentive and didn't push us along. We all enjoyed our meals. While the restaurant was energetic, it was never to load. Really enjoyed.
A nice evening with friends. Very busy, but the service was excellent. Food was very nicely done, although somewhat pricey. Ambience is nice although with that many people it was a little loud. Overall worth the experience.
Good food, atmosphere, good, good service. What else can you ask?
It was good
My dinner was excellent but Dad’s steak was like shoe leather. He sent it back because it was too rare and when they returned it..it was over cooked.
Four Fraternity Bothers (plus wive) from the Class of 1964 at Dartmouth College getting together in FL. Chops is just plain EXCELLENT. From our table for eight at 6:30 being ready when we arrived to our waiter who was perfectly attentive, to the food which was as described and very good tasting., we all had a very good time Thank you CHOP’S.
Our group of 4 was VERY impressed with every aspect. Exceptional Caesar salad. Beautiful presentation. Delicious entrees. Professional service. All agreed desserts were too sweet. Overall EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT!
Great food,and ambiance.
It had been a long time since we dined at Chops. We had a friend in town and decided it would be nice to celebrate his birthday with another couple from our home town. When making the reservation I stated it was a birthday. They did ask when we registered who was have a birthday. We told the hostess. So they were aware. Nothing was done for the special occasion except for bringing him a dessert with NO candle. I think Chops could have done a little better. How about having a Happy Birthday sign for the table? Or a few little Happy Birthday confetti on the table.? Why ask if it is a special occasion if you are not going to make it special. No complaints on the food.
We love Chops atmosphere food and great service
Chops is one of my favorite restaurants! My recent meal there was excellent, the waiter was SOOO good! I requested a quiet table as my guests are hearing impaired and our table was perfect! That really meant a lot to us! Thank you, Chops!
Very special reataurant. Great food and service and located just right for the gathering we had
Had a great rib eye steak. I have celiac disease and they were very accommodating and conscientious.
On girls' vacation. Went to Chops for our friend's birthday dinner. Excellent food and service and they brought the most delicious complimentary birthday dessert. Will definitely be back.
Super place and the food is even better - Lesil the waitress is so good and understands the menu to a tee. We go every Sunday and I highly recommend the early bird specials..
Its nice, very busy. Feels a little dated, very nineties. Food is just OK. We had a wonderful waitress which made up for a lot.
Most of the meal was quite good, the GM (JC) is great, our service/wait staff (Maggie) was very good. The wine list is quite overpriced and we should have all stuck to the "chops" part of the menu rather than try the veal meatloaf. The City salad was excellent, the clam chowder fairly average. Steaks were great and the tuna stack appetizer was quite good as well. Overall, Chops did not disappoint!
Chops Bonita Springs never disappoints. Steaks were done to perfection. Sides were delicious. Waiter was attentive but gave us time to visit and decide on our choices. Would highly recommend it.
Nice somewhat upscale mall restaurant with good service and steaks. Four non meat eaters wound up getting steaks because they sounded so mouth watering delicious! They were very tender, tasty, and perfectly cooked and none of us were able to finish!
I got lucky because I needed a quick reservation for a last minute dinner work meeting on Friday and was able to get a 7:45 reservation. I needed a 7:15/7:30 but they were booked, it is season. I arrived with my guest at 7:15 and explained we were early and that we had wanted a earlier reservation but OpenTable only allowed 7:45. The very bubbly hostess(Alexis) told us that it was not a problem and sat us right away!! The place was packed both the bar and the restaurant looked to not have an empty chair, but to my surprise there was an open table in the in the side dinning area. Our server Dona was super incredible. Dona was both knowledgeable and professional while being warm and attentive making us feel right a home there. She made great recommendations and was very accommodating to food allergies as well as not being overbearing or too pushy like some of Chop’s competitors that have become too corporate and impersonal. Meeting went without interruptions and for a Friday night the noise volume was not an issue. Started the meal off with a really fantastic bottle of wine that was super affordable and was from a well know vineyard. Food was beyond amazing we had salads(City Style and Caesar), followed by a jumbo filet and a 18oz dry aged strip. The steak are by far the best quality I have received in the local area to date. We then finished up with desserts that was truly the icing on the cake for this experience! The manger(JC) stopped by to check on us two times, first was when our dinners had arrived and after finishing our desserts. Both visits by the manager were to ensure the quality of service and food was to our utmost enjoyment and like our server the manager was extremely friendly and personable while remaining efficient and non-intrusive!
If I depended on one bad experience, I would have not made this visit. On March 1, 2018, my wife and I along with two other couples ate at Chops in Bonita Sorings. While the food, as usual, was very good, we had a miserable time. The waiter, who introduced himself as Jefferson, apparently was angry about something. He was very abrupt and when a member of the party was having trouble making up her mind about her entree, he abruptly said “I will come back later.” When he finally came back he was still very abrupt. Throughout the evening he acted like we were imposing on him. When my wife asked to take home the remainder of her uneaten entree, he grabbed her plate, left and then returned with her boxed food in a shopping bag and literally dropped it beside her chair. Other guests received the same type of service.
This past Friday night, after some misgivings my wife and I returned with our son and daughter-in-law and had a GREAT experience: great food and great service thanks to Dana, our server who was outstanding.
So don’t judge a restaurant by one horrible experience.
We enjoyed an appetizer and drink at the bar before going to out table and enjoying our early bird dinner and a glass of wine.
This was my wife’s 75th Birthday. I felt that we were kept waiting far too long. About 30 minutes past our confirmed reservation. This is to me an indication that you are overbooking. Service was average and food was above average. I believe a complaint is a gift.
Eight of us went for dinner. Seven meals were outstanding. One meal was awful (Pecan Chicken). It had no taste to it at all. Maybe a bad day in the kitchen. Our server did tell us that the kitchen was having "issues".
Service and food was beyond expectations, Don was fabulous, made us feel special.
Two of us had filets and were excellent. One had salmon and was very good.
My husband had prime rib and he said it was tough. One had beef stroganoff and the meat was very good but rigatoni is not the pasta to use, should have been wide flat noodles.
Was talking to a friend who had also had the prime rib and she agreed with my husband the prime rib we had at our club was much better. Also I make beef stroganoff and I use the wide flat noodles as well as our club does the same.
We have dined at Chop's on numerous occasions with both great experiences and average experiences. Our recent visit was ordinary. We had to wait for a table despite having a reservation. The restaurant was cold in temperature and uncomfortable. The wine list is average and overpriced. The food was satisfactory, and we will return sometime soon as we love the atmosphere.
The steaks were excellent and seafood perfectly prepared. The restaurant is in a beautifully decorated space and offers early dining as well as dinner with a selection of well done side dishes.
Vegetarian Lasagna was bad. Other meals were just OK. Appetizer of calamari and shrimp was very good. The server named Tracy was outstanding and saved the evening. Wine selection by the glass was poor and low end wines leading us to conclude that it was done deliberately to force us to buy a bottle of wine.
Food was great, service was terrific. Doesn’t get much better than that.
Great atmosphere. Good waiters great deal on the wine at 5:00. No problem getting a reservation!
Food was very good.
We've had dinner there a number of times and it's been pretty good most of the time. Last Monday we went for dinner and my food was just average at best.
Server, Jefferson, was very professional and efficient.
The steak which we both had was good. We thought our order of medium and medium rare might have been switched. Our waiter seemed a bit arrogant when I asked him about Happy Hour. We told him my friend’s squash was a bit burned but he told us that we should have told him sooner which we did not disagree with. We should have sent it back. I guess for the $$ we did expect perfection.
Awesome food at reasonable price. I especially appreciated the early bird menu and prices
