Chart House - Waikiki
Live Hawaiian contemporary entertainment and early and late happy hours heat up the night in the cocktail lounge. Serving the island’s largest pupu menu. For the highlight of the island dining or taste of local night life, the Chart House Waikiki is the place to be for good food, good friends and good times.
Great service, this is our 3rd time there and this time it was like the chef got off work already??? Everything was either under done or over done flavors just weren’t there like out 1st 2 times. The best part of the meal was the side Cesar salad. Also request made per open table reservation were not done.
Made a reservation almost 2 months in advance, but was still seated in the back, hidden corner with zero view. Picture provided.
Not worth the money. Steak and chicken were not great. Service was amazing and everyone was kind; however, the food could’ve been way better. I had high hopes for this place but was disappointed.
Husband and I getting away for a special celebration of a career milestone... the food, servers, seating placement was perfect.
Wow! Best Mahi-mahi on the island!
Vacationing in Hawaiian
Great service. Never rushed or intrusive but always there when needed. Very friendly. Terrific view of the Hilton fireworks. Oh and good food too! Usually some good specials too if you like what’s on their special menus that include appetizer and dessert. Always enjoy the lava cake for dessert. Plenty big to share and a fun way to end the night. Remember to tell your server early in the meal if you want the cake because it takes a while to prepare it.
The sunset dinner menu is a great deal - choice of soup or salad, entree and dessert for $37. Everything was excellent. I had Boston clam chowder, New York strip steak and creme brulee - all delicious.
Have usually enjoyed a nice dinner at CH in other locations, not sure what happened here. I ordered crab stuffed shrimp and what was delivered looked like it was heated from a frozen Costco box. Staff seemed indifferent (with the exception of the hostess who was warm and inviting) and scattered. I couldn’t eat the appetizer at all (Poke bowl - local interest) and my husband’s fish was supposed to be Mahi Mahi and was subpar. His Creme Brûlée was cold and so sweet it was a little nauseating. Overall very disappointed and a little shocked as this corporate offering usually does not.
Service was ok, a bit slow, and a few things drink orders were forgotten. Menu prices are reasonable, as they offer a complete meal and not just an entree where you have to order additional sides. But, food taste was just mediocre. Although, their signature mud pie dessert was on point. Too loud and too crowded for my taste
Swordfish was excellent. Busser excellent. Waiter interaction minimal.
We were on vacation and this came highly recommended
Was a wonderful experience! Went here for our wedding dinner. Excellent service. Outstanding food. Very authentic environment
The food was delicious but a little expensive. But I want to go again because the atmosphere is good.
We are always pleased with the ease of using Open Table to get reservations.
We had the special menu. The value was excellent as was the food and service. We’re never disappointed with our experience at the Chart House.
It was New Year’s Eve so very crowded. We were seated right on time and had an enjoyable relaxing meal even though the staff was extemely busy.
We dined here for Christmas Day dinner. We wanted a nice dinner for the occasion and the pictures that are on their website are very misleading. This is not a fancy, white table cloth Restaurant. The food was decent, but definitely NOT worth the price. My husband and I did not have the evening we were expecting.
We have dined here to Christmas evenings. Each year it was fun and an old school atmosphere as we sat at a table for two overlooking the marina.
There is nothing trendy about this place, just really good food and a old club style atmosphere. The waiters and waitresses were very good. I hope that you give it a try!
We had a lovely Christmas dinner. They offered an excellent pice-fixed menu option which was a good value, generous, and delicious. I will go there again on my next visit! (Be sure to make a reservation; this restaurant is very popular.)
Christmas dinner with family
We went on Christmas which I know is a very busy day. However our server did not come to us for 30 minutes after we were seated.
The service from the hostess to the waiter and helper were excellent. The ambiance and noise level was not the same as I remember the last time I was there. It seemed like The Chart house has turned into a cafeteria style restaurant. We had to wait for our table as we were a little early (15 minutes) but ended up waiting much longer in a very cramp narrow area full of others waiting. The last time I had dinner there, you could sit, relax and have a conversation over a great meal and drinks. Not the same...we could have gone to Zippys and paid a lot less for a great , quiet meal. There were many more tourist there, which is fine but many had crying babies and it was not the Christmas Eve dinner that I was so looking forward to with my family.
Food was excellent, staff was very attentive and friendly! We had 4 in our party and we all tried different food options. Everyone’s food was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious! Ambiance was relaxing with a wonderful view of the harbor. Would definitely go again!
Food is just OK and the service needs some help, slow and scripted. Most annoying was the parade of flower seller and photographer who seemed to show up at exactly the wrong time, we would have 15 minutes of no food or beverage delivery then as things show up somebody wanted to sell us something. The photographer wouldn't take No for an answer. I have come here off and on for years and they seem to be trading on their location which is all they have left.
Best Chilean sea bass I’ve had in a long time! Sure this place gets busy and crowded and can be noisy but for those who can’t put their nauseam aside and would rather go to zippies for a quite dining experience please do since it’s the ugly that makes a great place a bummer! Great food and service and a local establishment that’s been here for a long time for a reason! Cheers!!
Had the monthly special, four course dinner. Excellent. A lot of food for price. Mahi Mahi fabulous.
Outstanding! Service&food very good! Very kind and nice!
Not great but not bad
Ribs, fries, key lime pie were wonderful. Staff friendly and attentive. Great evening.
Everyone in our party was amazed at how incredible the food, service and location was at the Chart House. We would all recommend anyone dine here when in Waikiki!
