   When it comes to value, Carvers is bar none! My husband always orders his favorite, Texas Chili Oil Ribeye. I vary my order and chose the pork chop. All meals come with a choice of soup or salad and potatoes. They offer a variety of great wines by the glass or bottles. A delicious slice or apple cake with a candle on top was a special surprise for my birthday. Everyone who works there, from the greeter to our server were warm, welcoming and attentive.

   Excellent! Business meeting lasted three hours and our server Marley was so kind and sweet and attentive. Carvers is such a great place and my company (local here in RANCHO Bernardo) always takes are people here because the good food, service and drinks is consistently terrific.

   Even though we were a few minutes past the time to get the Early Bird prices, the waitress allowed us to order from that menu. Food and service were excellent and, as always, we thoroughly enjoy our meal at Carvers!

   Amazing food, we had a party of 11 and service was great. Enjoyed a delicious Easter Dinner.

   We had a wonderful time at Carvers celebrating my aunt's birthday. Our server was attentive, personable, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious. My aunt was treated to a birthday dessert, which was very much appreciated. We'll definitely return another time.

   This was our first visit. When checking in at the hostess station, she acted as if we were bothering her. This was not a good first impression. She never welcomed us; she never smiled. The next hostess led us to our table. She never smiled. I am physically challenged and it took me a little bit to get seated properly. Evidently she was in a hurry. She dropped my menu on the table in front of me since I wasn’t able to take it immediately from her hand. Thus, first impression was poor. Our server, I think his name was Chris, was great. He welcomed us, smiled, and was kind. We ordered the Tuesday special of a 6 oz filet with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. The food was cooked as ordered and was excellent. Chris ensured our drinks were kept full and the table was cleared promptly. After leaving cash to pay our bill plus the tip, we left. The same two hostesses were at their station. Once again, they never acknowledged our presence. They failed to smile or even thanking us. We will try this place again. Food was great and the value was excellent. If service is sour again though, we won’t visit often.

   We love carvers. It is a hidden jewel. The food is top-notch. The steaks are mouthwatering. The ambience is very pleasing. We will definitely come back.

   The decor of the restaurant was nice but seems a little dark and a little outdated. Our server was very nice and attentive. My meal and cocktail were not enjoyable. Everything was bland. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and the au gratin potatoes were creamy enough but both desperately needed salt. My Moscow mule only tasted like vodka with no hints of ginger beer or lime and no sweetness to the drink at all. I only drank half of my drink and I took half of my food home.

    Lovely server, lovely food, very content with choosing to go here. However, April is a little too warm to have a raging fire in the fireplace. If I would have known there was a lit fireplace, I wouldn’t have worn a sweater. Be prepared to be very warm. We will be back.
