I honestly was not impressed by the quality of the food, nor was my partner. The sauce on the Veal Normandie was excellent, but the veal itself was overcooked and the vegetables were too raw for my taste. The value of the food compared to the cost was substantially lower than I thought it should be. My partner was unimpressed by the escargot as this was also overcooked. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be coming back here.

The food is usually great, but this time around it seemed like something I could make at home. The vegetables were mushy, my MILs almonds on her Trout Almandine were burnt, and the overall presentation of food was sloppy. The staff were working their tails off though, but maybe due to understaffing the wait for service was quite long.

Took my spouse here for his birthday. Jizzel, our server, was superb! The food, drinks and atmosphere were excellent! The chef even came around and asked if our meals were satisfactory. A nice personal touch. Cafe Normandie is one of our favorite places to dine.

Service was friendly and efficient, but not pushy. The escargot was terrific, the duck confit very good. The tart satin was a disappointment, lukewarm and without the caramelization it needed. But everything else was fine.

Nice bistro atmosphere with friendly service. Food has been outstanding for as long as I've been coming here, which is nearly 30 years now. Onion soup is just right. Bread is even first rate. We shared the Chateaubriand tonight, which was tender and perfectly done, with excellent accompaniments--carrots, squash, roasted potatoes, green beans. A feast. Reasonable wine list with a fair selection at various price points. Not cheap, but worth it.

This was our second visit to Cafe and was just as enjoyable and delicious as first time. We enjoyed the roasted chicken and beef bourguignon dinner special($45). Entire meal from soup/salad to eclair and cheesecake was a delight. Tatiana, our server was very friendly and attentive. This has become my favorite restaurant in Annapolis and will be returning soon. First time we had onion soup and crepes, look forward that again for early lunch. Thanks also to owner/chef for visiting our table and talking about herbs-cilantro vs basil and his use of parsley. Wonderful evening.🍽️🍷🍽️🍷☕️☕️

Our first visit to Cafe N in 2020 (early reopening from initial COVID) was incredible! Food, service, ambiance were outstanding. The second visit in 2022 was a bit surprising. The food was wonderful, but the place overly busy; staff couldn't keep up. It felt like half-time at concession stands. For this most recent visit the food was very good, but while the place seemed slightly less crowded the staff was not prepared. It took more than 20 minutes to be greeted at our table, water arrived after our initial cocktails (it was a hot day and water first would have been nice), our entries arrive midway through our appetizer, yet when I put my credit card on the bill someone (not our waiter) was there immediately to take it.

Cafe had only 2 staff to serve a packed house. Wait staff were trying to keep up with demand but it was impossible. We had a 1 pm reservation - got our food at 2:15.

Excellent small French restaurant on Main Street in the heart of Annapolis. How can it be that I'd never eaten there? Service is excellent and the food is outstanding. They call it a romantic restaurant. I don't want to comment on the romance, but my wife and I ate our anniversary dinner there and we were very, very pleased with everything about it. Highly recommended.

The chateaubriand meal was perfect and plentiful and the young woman taking care of us did a wonderful job. Her recommendations and tastings for a red wine were right-on. We had enough leftover for a full dinner tonight and enough meat for another meal.

The food was excellent and the variety of unique (French) dishes is helpful to American palettes which may not be used to European delights like this restaurant so wonderfully has. The boutique setting is fitting and allows for a gentle atmosphere to complement the delicious food. Highly recommend the bouillabaisse (with a very affordable price at lunchtime), but any dish will leave you happy.

The food was absolutely amazing! We ordered the escargot, french onion soup, duck, lamb, and the halibut fig special! It was all very delicious. Our waitress was very nice and we would come again. We did have to request the silverware for our escargot and soup after a period of time passed, it was not readily provided for us. The noise level made it difficult to converse with those across from us at the table but I think that just shows how busy the restaurant was. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

Really solidly good food, decent (no frills) service, and moderately quiet which is hard to get at restaurants. Lively and active atmosphere, even so. The best was the high top table we had reserved— it can seat up to 6, but they let us have the table for just the two of us. Tucked away and above the rest of the diners, it was really a treat.

Our small reunion lunch was an outstanding experience. I had not visited Cafe Normandie for easily 15 years, so making the recommendation to visit for a long overdue reunion lunch was a risk, and I am very happy that I took it. Our mussels app was outstanding, the Annapolis Crepes were as tasty as ever and packed with seafood, and the service was beyond pleasant, it was perfect. Thank you for a great experience.

Some French, some Italian, some local flavors but not all work and I would not call it a French restaurant . Very casual spot with large diverse menu and some meals were good but most were fair. Escargot were very good as was the Halibut special. Unfortunately 1/2 Chicken, Seafood Crepe and Pate were fair.

They really like to turn the tables over quickly. It shows. The food tasted excellent, but I had to send my Osso Buco back to the kitchen because the inside was cold. They took care of it immediately and returned it to me piping hot. Flavors were great, it’s just rushed.

Food was okay for the brunch items we got but nothing amazing. The waffles were good and the baked Brie was also good but it was scalding hot so difficult to eat without burning our fingers or mouths. The service wasn’t stellar, nothing specific, but just an overall experience.

The food came out very quickly but there seemed to be only two servers for the whole restaurant which made initial ordering, drinks and and follow up very poor. The food was excellent as always.
