Café Mercato, located in Denver, is a modern Italian restaurant, owned and operated by Giancarlo Macchiarella of Locanda del Borgo

Mercato’s light and airy atmosphere and design permeates throughout the modern space. With a large open kitchen and large wine “library”, you will feel right at home sipping on a glass of select wine while watching the chefs create your meal.

The menu at Café Mercato is based on Southern Italian fare with a lighter approach. All of the pastas and sausages are made in-house, as well as gelato and desserts. Enjoy homemade pizza from our over imported from Italy and other selections from our wood-fire grill. The food and service was excellent. I rated the noise level as quiet because we sat outside on the patio where there are no speakers. Inside the noise level was high due to some folks at the bar and the music which was up too loud.

I love your side dishes! The fettuccine is to die for and the salmon was terrific. My friend loved his steak. Well done!

Cafe Mercato I always a delight. The food is spectacular. The service is great. The host is always warm, friendly, and accommodating. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the amazing quality of food. I'm always satisfied every time I go. I would highly recommend!!

I had a beautiful dinner- moist and flaky barramundi in a lemon caper sauce, perfectly roasted fingerling potatoes and fresh steamed broccoli.

All 4 entrees were excellent. The service was exceptional. Thank you for having one of the quieter restaurants around where 4 people could catch up.

The air conditioning was not working when we ate there. They really should have told us that when we entered the restaurant. It was oppressively hot and we couldn’t tolerate it and had to get our food to go. The server never came back to refill ice water, which Was essential because it was so hot there. Overall, it was a terrible experience. We have eaten there many times and have always enjoyed it and had a positive experience. It was not the case this time.

I am a long time customer of Cafe Mercato and have introduced many friends to it. It has been one of my favorite restaurants for many years. I brought some new friends there last night and the experience anything but good. Our waiter was rude from the outset. I have never experienced anything like it at this restaurant. My friend said they would not go back there. Ordinarily the service there is outstanding. I am hoping that this will be rectified
