Mercato’s light and airy atmosphere and design permeates throughout the modern space. With a large open kitchen and large wine “library”, you will feel right at home sipping on a glass of select wine while watching the chefs create your meal.

The menu at Café Mercato is based on Southern Italian fare with a lighter approach. All of the pastas and sausages are made in-house, as well as gelato and desserts. The food was mediocre- my wine glass had a crack in it- when I told our waiter, he argued with me, but did transfer my wine in to another glass. Have been to Mercator a number of times and it has always been good, but this time the food was not good. Also, found it strange to have to pay for the bread

First time at Cafe Mercato, what a great find. Peroni on tap is always appreciated. Food was interesting and tasty, I tried the 3 meats entrée, with the home made sausage particularly good. Waiter was attentive and informative.

Our experience was wonderful because of our server, Matt, who went beyond to make our dining celebration for a 75th birthday magical!! He made perfect suggestions for our dinner menu to share, caesar salad, plenty of crusty bread and paired a nice glass of Pinot Noir with our dinner. We did enjoy this restaurant and met the owner, John. Friendly, light, good energy.

Our first time there and was really impressed. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was very nice. We always ask ourselves, “would we eat here again?” The answer was a resounding YES! I highly recommend it!

We normally love this restaurant but the chef was heavy handed with the salt, both in the turkey soup and the pasta dishes. The bread was very boring. Hope next time is better.

Waiter wasn’t very personable. We ordered wine when he brought the dinner and he didn’t bring the wine until we almost finished the dinner so we sent it back.

We didn't get off to a good start when the salad with "butter lettuce" in it arrived soggy and with iceberg lettuce. In addition the pears in it were canned or poached but not fresh. Not a good version of a pear salad. However, when we told our water that we weren't happy with it, he took it back and we ordered the brussels sprouts and a pasta that were both perfect. Would definitely return but would not order the pear salad.

We had a good time- the food was delicious- but our server was always somewhere else… from finishing our meal to ordering dessert, finally getting our dessert and waiting for our check was as long as the rest of the meal- nearly an hour and a half. Will return- but only when we have time for a LOOOONG meal because of the delays

Had a delicious lunch with my parents. Food was delicious, service was great. The rattling noise from the “cooler in the kitchen” was so loud and obnoxious we couldn’t enjoy our conversation or wait to leave. It ruined the entire experience. It was surprisingly loud, irritatingly consistent, and overpowered the music that was playing. It clearly needs service or replacement. It’s too bad because it would have been nice to actually enjoy what could have been a lovely lunch.

I really enjoyed the food. It was delicious and so were the drinks. For the price you’re paying, I think that bread should be included in the meal OR if you’re paying for it separately, it should be served elegantly instead of us having to make the oils and vinegar mix and in just a plain ole basket. That felt a bit off. The waitress took a really long tim to come back to our table so we inquired with someone else to get her for us twice.

The entire meal was incredible! Best fried calamari I’ve ever had because of the addition of fried artichokes, zucchini & shrimp. The swordfish special was delicious as was the short rib ravioli. What a treat! So glad to have found a great neighborhood Italian restaurant.

We always dine here before Wings Over Rockies events. We had the pear and goat cheese salad, the risotto and salmon. Finished with the crème brûlée which we shared. We will be back.
