Cafe Lurcat - Naples Ratings and Reviews
The noise during the peak evening hour was very high, but a couple on a date might like that. The wine list has an extraordinary list of very highly expensive wines, but it's very well arranged and there are quite affordable daily specials. There is a door next to the sidewalk that is closed, but apparently this needs a sign, as many customers came to this door trying to get in during our meal.
Obviously extremely busy which you would expect on a Friday evening in January. Efficient and friendly waiter but the gentleman who served the bread and water was extremely rude and abrupt.
The food was good but not outstanding and we thought the whole meal was expensive for the quality of what we had. Over $350.00 for 3 people. Our guest had oysters Rockefeller and received 3 oysters for $19.00 and she felt they were below average in taste and quality.
We left feeling disappointed.
As a general rule when I ‘ve Eaten there, indoor or out the service has been good. Last night it was terrible. The vegetables, Brussel sprouts, cauliflower & apple salad were excellent. In fact all the food was very good but again the service was pretty terrible.
Clean food. Attentive service. Top shelf ambiance. Wonderful menu options. Stellar pours. Mood-perfect music. If you are looking for an early sitting that promises to be worth the trip to downtown Naples — you must dine here. Bite the bullet and search for street parking. C’mon — you can parallel park like a pro! Walk up the gorgo walkway and ask for seating on first level. Enjoy the savory and clean food from start to finish. A must when visiting Naples!
we went to cafe Lurcat to celebrate a special occasion since it was one of our favorite restaurantts .... We thought it was odd that 5th avenue was hopping but Cafe Lurcat was empty. well if everyone experience the service from Evan i can understand it being empty... my husband ordered the wine he, Evan, gave it to me to taste... we each ordered Oysters we only go one cocktail fork. we asked for bread (which everyone else got as they sat down) Evan passed us at least 4/5 times after we asked and never stopped to see if we received the bread. never stopped to pour more wine... only stopped to drop off the bill... our special occasion was a bust due to Evan ..... we always recommended cafe Lurcat but we would second think that ... it really depends on the server.....
Great happy hour menu at this restaurant plus bar food and regular menu quite good.
Lively with good ambiance and excellent wait staff.
For a nice romantic meal sit upstairs on the outside balcony overlooking 5th Ave. No happy hour upstairs just the regular menu but quieter.
Café Lurcat is a wonderful restaurant with good food. The only recommendation I would make is to have the lights turned up a little brighter. It was really dark when we arrived and difficult to make out the writing on the menu. But, besides that, everything was perfect.
We booked New Year’s Eve dinner $175 per person which was four courses limited choice. There was live music which was good. Our issue was we thought for the price it was an exclusive party but people just wandered in from the street to drink stood in front of us and danced to the band we paid for. With drinks, one bottle of wine with dinner, one glass of prosecco, one cocktail before dinner and one captain morgans and one gin after dinner which we could hardly taste the alcohol, total bill without service charge was $474 for two people. Completely over priced
We love Cafe Lurcat. I made a reservation on Open Table for New Year’s Eve, but early in the evening. I did not realize there was a $175/person price fixed menu, so was very surprised when we sat down and looked at the menu. The meal was excellent, but not sure any meal is worth $175/person. Still, an excellent restaurant. Love the ambiance!
Really disappointed with this typically good restaurant .
Music was just awful.
Our table had no view and was in the service pathway .
Food was decent but not outstanding .
Way overpriced for what we received.
You’ll be much more satisfied at Campiellos
Doubt we’ll be back
Had the Sea Bass and fried cauliflower. Both were delicious. Our server was friendly and efficient.
Started out at a table on the upper balcony and the heater by our table was broken. We asked for a new table, and a manager moved us immediately to the main floor outside, which was wonderful. Problem resolved easily. I highly recommend this restaurant.
