It is an amazing place! I love the beautiful vegetation and flowers all around.
I order the trout and was espectacular.
The only think I need to say is about the waiter, when I asked her if she recommended the Trout? She said: yes the fish is very good the fish is Tilapia!! And I asked again if the fish was Trout or Tilapia? and she said it is the same thing.
So she have to know that it is wrong, she will confuse the clients.
I have to say that the service was excellent.
Oh my goodness it was wonderful to sit in this lovely garden and enjoy Quiche, Salad and a glass of bubbly. Everything was so delicious and authentic!
The food was excellent, We had the salmon, trout, shrimp scampi, and greek salad with lamb. The apple tart was perfect. The gardens were so beautiful and walking through listening to the water fountains, birds and seeing all the flowers and humming birds was delightful!
Very pretty venue. The maitre d was very nice when arrived , on time, for our 11 am reservation but, he had to tell us that their kitchen didn’t open until 11:30. Apparently Open Table wasn’t informed that the hours were not the same now. we were a little unhappy about the time change But, he allowed us to be seated and was able to serve us coffee and mimosas. The food was pretty good but my chicken breast was a little salty for my taste. Our servers were great. We would come back sometime.
Gardens were beautiful, food was divine, service excellent. Great little get away for our 28th anniversary!
The three of us were very much looking forward to our annual lunch at Cafe Jardin. However one of us has to use a walker to get around. I called the day before to find out about the Handicapped entrance. It was explained to me and we did use it. However, we are very much surprised that you really don't have a handicapped ramp for some one to use. It is is just an unmarked entrance off Dahlia. This should be rectified; I don't believe the state standards are being met.
On a more positive note, the Covid 19 situation seemed to be followed. It still was a great day, but my friend had to work especially hard to get into the restaurant.
Beautiful garden setting and fantastic food! Great place for lunch.
Fantastic! Wonderful food and beautiful setting in the Sherman Gardens. I loved the Trout Armandine and the lemon tart plus the Mimosa! Perfect for a celebration!
Just divine. Gorgeous setting, savory food, excellent service. Nothing like it.
Lovely place to have lunch in a beautiful garden.
My friend from Los Angeles and I had a fantastic lunch in a beautiful garden setting. He had the "Grec" salad with lots of lamb and vegetables. He said it was outstanding. (I had it when I returned the following week, and agree!)
I enjoyed the octupus which was deliciously prepared and presented.
We both had the apple strudel and added ice cream.
Pascal is top of the line as he always has been.
We ate lunch on the patio Overlooking the lush gardens and beautiful water fountain. The quiche was recommended by the server and that’s what we ordered. Probably the best quiche we’ve ever tasted. Creamy blend of delicious cheese & ham on a delicate crust. A side salad with a homemade Dijon mustard dressing came with it. We split a flourless chocolate cake for dessert which was absolutely decadent! The chef came out to greet us, which was a nice touch. Overall, a great dining experience!
Wonderful ambiance, staff and food. Thoroughly enjoyed the octopus and salmon roll dishes. Excellent wine list. We went for the French rose. Cannot wait to dine in the beautiful gardens again soon
This is a fabulous restaurant and dining experience. Love the French music playing in background and even the necessity of compostable dinnerware did not dull the anniversary. However, when making the reservation we were asked if it was a special occasion. Yes anniversary. We were a little disappointed that that information was not acknowledged.
Absolutely excellent food and service. Perfect setting. We will be back with more guests to introduce them to this fine dining experience.
This is just a wonderful experience. Perfect lunch in a garden. Always a rejuvenating experience.
I love this place so much!!! There are not many places where you can have a fabulous brunch in a beautiful garden setting. And with French music playing, you feel like you’re in Provence! Ooh la la
The stroll around the grounds before brunch was very relaxing. The food was delicious and presentation was very nice too.
Pascal has been and is still one of the very best chef in Orange County. His art resides in the ability to turn simple dishes into a feast.
The presentation of the dishes and the taste of the food was excellent.
Nice garden, unfortunately food not up to our standard served unattractive and way too expensive would not recommend
We enjoyed our lunch. Service was excellent-we appreciated the staff. Food was excellent, our quiche was very good. We look forward to going back soon. Beautiful atmosphere in the garden.
A lovely place for lunch. Peaceful, no rush service. Kind wait staff. I have eaten here frequently and truly enjoy it. The menu may be somewhat adventurous for some.
What a hidden gem! Sit outside, enjoy great food and experience the beautiful surroundings! So peaceful and the gift store is an added plus! We will definitely go back! Think of a beautiful Monet painting and that is Sherman Gardens!
Food was not better than a cheap diner. In fact, not as good. Quiche was greasy and overcooked. Salad was mediocre, soup was just OK. Service by Araceli was very good, as was the iced tea. Not expecting to ever eat there again.
It used to be much better.
Outstanding food! Pascal restaurants have always been great...this one is no different.
I love going to the restaurant sitting outside looking at the beautiful flowers and of course eating the delicious food. I frequently come here for friends birthdays in often being out of town guests!
The Trout Almadine is my favorite dish over all. Served beautifully. Every time I come I order it.
Great food in a beautiful garden setting!
This is such a lovely place to enjoy a delicious lunch with a friend while being surrounded by the beautiful gardens.
I have enjoyed this restaurant for lunch, but it seemed like they were not prepared for dinner. There were no lights whatsoever in the parking lot or on the walkway to the restaurant when we arrived. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to light the way for ourselves and fellow diners who were using canes. We then waited some time at the entrance to the restaurant to be greeted. When we advised our hostess about the unsafe conditions, she seemed unconcerned saying that Sherman Gardens would not let them turn on the lights. Really? All in all, the food was good, the service was below average (in addition to the light issue, we watched diners seated after us get there food before we did) and it was very cold in the restaurant unless you were lucky enough to be seated by the fireplace. We appreciated that Chef Pascal stopped by our table but for $105 per person for dinner it was not what we had hoped for.
Great food and a beautiful venue! We had both of the two course lunch menus and it was just the right amount of food for a very reasonable price. We will be back for a Sunday dinner!
We had my daughter's small bridal shower brunch, and it was perfect! excellent food and ambience. It was a bit cold, but we were next to the fire which was very special. What a special day!
The food was amazing. The chef came to our table to chat with us. He’s very nice! We will definitely eat more food with Pascal.
The starters and main courses were exceptional. created to look and taste exciting. Sitting in Sherman Gardens eating lunch in the middle of January! It does not get better than that.
We went there for restaurant week. It was absolutely delicious. The oysters were fantastic! A little noisy because of all the hard surfaces but loved the fireplace.
The restaurant produces exceptional food in a great environment!
It was too cold. They need heaters! We were disappointed with the food. The gardens are beautiful. Previous visits had better tasting food.
They sat us next to a table of 20 drunks screaming at the top of their voices.
They refused to ask them to lower their voices.
We had to do it ourselves.
I have been to this restaurant many times before and it was really exceptional and so relaxing. I was really upset that they did nothing to help us.
