Never disappointed, wonderful meal
Our meal and waiter were just fabulous!
Wonderful house turned into a restaurant. Good food, service. Nice and quaint.
The food is always a delight. We tried the cheese board with a mix of cheese and pate. FABULOUS! So much so that the table next to us decided to order it as well!
Our waiter, “BC” set the perfect tone of “welcome” and “fun”. It was a delightful evening with good food and friends and a venue that is so comfortable and has great food and service. One of our favorites year after year for get togethers with friends and family.
First time back since Covid, and boy, they haven't lost a step. Food, service, ambiance--already planning on going back. Adrian was a great server, and his recommendations were spot on. Do your date a favor and take them to Degas.
Just fantastic. Great salads. Excellent entrees. Super desserts. Nice people
This is a true gem of NOLA cuisine. I love everything about Cafe Degas. Can't wait to go back!!!
Very pleasant and tasty brunch in a charming environment.
Overall a good experience. Food was excellent.
Cafe Degas is one of my favorite restaurants. The outdoor seating is so lovely especially at night. The food is always spectacular.
I highly recommend the French onion soup and Hanger steak and frites. The Vichyssoise (Chilled Potato and Leek Soup) was the best I ever had! Super creamy, flavorful and refreshing.
The escargot is divine.
If you have room for dessert, definitely try the Floating island!!
My only complaint is, the service. My last server was very friendly but would disappear, which had me leaving my table to go looking for her for water refills, condiments ect. The server before that was a bit snippy (I understand we all have bad days but leave it at home please).
The restaurant itself is absolutely charming and the food is fantastic, I will definitely be going back.
Cafe Degas was great as usual. The red snapper was delicious and the French ambiance was magnifique!
This is a great place for well-prepared delicious food in a casual atmosphere.
J'adore ça, c'est un endroit unique de la ville de la Nouvelle-Orléans
Wonderful!! Lovely band, food and drinks all excellent!! Great spot
we loved our food and the ambiance, and server were awesome!
Greatest French restaurant in town! Love.y for brunch.
Excellent pate and lump crabmeat salad. Everyone properly masked. We plan to go back
The food was delicious but the service was not great.
Great little spot, we enjoyed the unique designs and little decorative flair. Quiche Lorraine was very fluffy and full of flavor, my wife enjoyed her walnut butter waffle and the amazing fresh whip cream.
i"ve eaten at Cafe Cegas many times and it is always very veru good. The Matini I had was a bit on the watery side. I've had much better, but the overall experience can't be beat.
We really had an excellent time. There were three couples in our party. At the beginning of service we did ask if the server could separated on three checks but she told us that it wasn’t possible. Check is quite a bit of time to separate the check at the end where she could’ve had a table back. If a guest pass on the front end to split a check, it shouldn’t be that difficult. That was the only thing that was a negative. I’ve been in the restaurant industry over four years. I Go out of my way to accommodate every guest. We were one of the first tables in the restaurant so would not have been that hard to have three separate checks especially if you have a computer system. But I won’t throw on this since everything was absolutely wonderful as usual. The rack of lamb was absolutely divine. Keep up the great work you love having you all in the neighborhood.
Nice clean place. White tablecloth, comfortable, interesting menu, all okay. Recommend the sweetbreads, house salad, and redfish. Some of our order was just okay but most was very good
Cafe degas has been so good for so many years. Our waitress was great and funny. The food and wine was amazing. A great relaxing date night place
Nice atmosphere and service. The food was disappointing. Appetizers were nice (escargot, beet salad, onion soup). The entrees were a let down. The crawfish and spinach quiche was very salty and inedible. Hangar steak and grilled salmon were ok, but not worth a return visit. Won’t be going back.
Always dependable. The best authentic french bistro in New Orleans
The service was great, but before you bring the check … ask if anyone wants desert or coffee .
Café Degas has a wonderful French café atmosphere. It is a great place for a leisurely lunch or dinner. The menu has a great selection of French favorites and the wine list is good.
We came as first time diners as part of Coolinary New Orleans. We left as satisfied fans of this small, friendly, quaint neighborhood restaurant with international flair. The food, even from the fixed-price special menu was outstanding and the service, top notch. It was an all together satisfying experience sure to make us want to come back again.
Made for a lovely lunch
My wife and I are regular customers.
My wife ordered salmon and was served wahoo
I ordered lamb and it was served cold
Had to go find a steak knife on my own
Asked waiter if there was any mint jelly for the lamb, he said no, but he had dejon mustard.
No I know things are bad in the industry, but this was really not good
This is a very pretty spot. My partner and I loved the look and feel of the restaurant.
The escargot was lovely, but the main courses were a bit challenging with high salt levels throughout.
Excellent food and service as always. First time we had the duck crepe.... outstanding!
I love Cafe Degas. We go often on weekend afternoons for the moules frites. Best in town! On the rare occasion I can break away and order something different, everything has been outstanding. Nice staff. Very charming atmosphere.
Great food and service, we will definitely be going back!
Food was excellent as always but the waiter was terrible. He did not check to see if anything was needed and we had to look for him to ask for something to drink or refills. We you order desert you should be asked if you would like coffee. Another thing we had to ask for. Maybe this person was not experienced but he should know to at least check back to see if everything is okay or if you may need a drink refill.
Wonderful. Food was great, service was quick and wonderful. Very accommodating when we were running late.
I have had better meals in past. Maybe it was a new chef?
I have eaten at Cafe Degas several times. It is my go to celebration restaurant. They never disappoint. Don’t leave without trying the French onion soup and house-made sorbet!!❤️
