    This was an anniversary celebration and the food was extremely rushed. We specifically asked not to rush the food and as soon as we received our appetizer the entree was presented. The entire meal was 45 minutes, The prices on Open Table are incorrect. For example a small Cheese Plate states $10, but it was $18. The grillades and grits and eggs Benedict were about $4 more than Open Table. I have gone to this restaurant for 35 years (many times at 7:30 following Jazz Fest)and have never been disappointed until today. As in the past; the food and ambiance were very good!

    Well, we got to the restaurant early to have a cocktail at the bar. The bartender was pretty offhand. We had requested a specific server. We did not get that server when we were seated we were not seated in timely fashion so we had to go to the bar and have another drink with the offhand bartender.

    Overall, Cafe Degas always has great service! Seated promptly, we were not rushed and allowed to enjoy the food and our guests. Our server, Emmanuel was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. My only asks is to add croissants or a sandwich to the lunch menu.

    The oyster artichoke soup was wonderful as were the scallops and the lamb rack. The chef was truly on his game as usual. The drinks and Manny’s service were also on point. I love this little gem of a restaurant.

    It was a lovely evening for dining at Cafe Degas. Manny, our server, was very attentive. The small group of musicians was a really nice touch - not too loud and very talented. Food was fantastic as usual- we should come here more often!!!
