Delicious pate, lamb, cioppino, and dessert. Cute space and friendly service.
Great atmosphere, excellent & friendly service, delicious food & cocktails. The phyllo-wrapped shrimp is a must-have!
Cabezon is a gem located in our neighborhood. We try to dine there at least once a month. This visit was during Portland Dining Month, and the dining month menu was stellar. A warm salt cod brandade served with a lovely little salad was the first course - the best salt cod brandade we have tasted. It was creamy, peppery, and delicious. The second course was the cioppino, and Cabezon's version is one of our favorites. Dessert was a warm ginger cake with meyer lemon mousse and pomegranate. It was fabulous! And a bargain at $33 -- the cioppino alone goes for $28. Highly recommended!
Fantastic food! If you want fresh seafood go here.
Great value for restaurant month. I would order each of the items that was an option on their pre fixe menu. The cioppino is off the charts, the oysters where fresh and flavorful and ginger cake with lemon was a fantastic way to end the meal.
Solid menu, fresh food, great service as always! We will keep coming back!
6 of us had the March dining month menu experience and it was awesome. The appetizer and dessert were delicious and the main meal was their cioppino which was excellent. Our waitress was very efficient and attentive. An all around perfect evening !
Food was awesome as always! I’ve yet to try something and not have it be a good choice. Atmosphere is cool too. We will definitely continue going back.
We lucked out going there 2 nights ago during Portland's Foodie Month - 3 entree for $30. The hostess Jackie coincidentally is a friend of our friend in Hawaii! Will be recommending this place to other friends headed to PDX and you can count on us being there next trip as well.
The Portland Dining Month menu was tasty and a good value overall. The cocktails could have been more balanced.
Excellent food and service. It is our birthday and anniversary go-to restaurant.
We were seated in the smaller section; chairs are comfortable, and the noise level is low. But above all, the food was fabulous. We don't come to Portland often but when we do, we usually try to have one dinner at Cabezon.
I have been to Cabezon several times and the food is always high quality. The menu reflects what is in season but the desserts usually remain the same. It wasn’t overly crowded but I would advise making a reservation especially on weekends. There is always a seafood dish but Sunday they also offered a lamb dish and a steak dish. Not the cheapest but a quality meal and presentation (our salmon was $28). Great wine and beer selections as well.
Delicious food. A hidden jewel.
Love this restaurant...it’s in our neighborhood and feels warm and inviting.we celebrated my daughters birthday and they greeted her and put a candle in our Devine pear tart and house made vanilla ice cream.! The salmon was the BEST I’ve ever had crisp and tender at the same time.a memorable evening we’ll be back again and again!!
Have been looking for a seafood-forward restaurant in Portland for a long time. Can't believe I forgot all about Cabezon, which is right in my neighborhood. So delicious and so supportive of our local fisheries. Loved everything we ate. Service was delightful. Cocktails were not my favorite, but otherwise, really great.
Booked a family dinner. Great food, great service, and perfect atmosphere to enjoy our company. Highly recommend.
Food and service were top notch. I love the cozy ambiance of Cabezon. You can be casual or dressy and enjoy a great dinner. The petrole sole was exceptional. We all enjoyed our salads and entrees. Great wine and cocktails.
Super awesome food and service, will definitely visit its again.
This place is a hidden gem! Best seafood in Portland.
I had the steak and she had the Cioppino. We each loved our dishes. The service was very friendly and very fast and it did not take very long to get our food. Everything was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious!
My favorite restaurant in Portland, hands down. And I have been to many.
Awesome as always.
I never knew this charming place even existed. The food was delicious, and the service was casually attentive. We will return.
Consistently delicious food. Kind and caring staff willing to go the extra mile.
Cabezon is always a great option, the foos is always good and the service is friendly and welcoming.
This is a favorite restaurant of ours.
I always like their unique offerings. I had cod and it was delicious. Would recommend highly.
Absolutely lovely time!!! Adore this spot. Really incredible food and a great atmosphere. The chive blinis to start are nothing short of sensational. Can’t wait to go back!
Unfortunately we were underwhelmed with our dinner experience at Cabezon. It was our first time there and we had high expectations after talking to friends and reading reviews. Our server was pleasant but vanished halfway through our meal. The complimentary bread was tasty but cold, as was the small chunk of butter that came with it, which made it difficult to spread. The Caesar salad was lovely. My husband ordered the cioppino, their signature dish, and it tasted very bland to him. I ordered the lamb pasta and it was fine, though very salty. We split a chocolate pot de creme for dessert, which was a huge serving, so I’m glad there were two of us to eat it! It was extremely thick (the most solid pot de creme I’ve ever eaten) but tasty. Overall, we felt we didn’t get our money’s worth and we most likely won’t be back.
Server was informed and made good suggestions. Company and Atmosphere were enjoyable and the food was perfect!
We have been dining at Cabezon for years! We commented to each other as we left the restaurant that we have never had a bad meal. Consistent! Great service and flavors! We love Cabezon!!!
