We usually dine out when we spend Thanksgiving in the Newport area. This was our first time having Thanksgiving dinner at The Bungalow, and it was delicious. We had our choice of several meal options, each with a starter (soup, salad), entree, and dessert. The food portions were quite large, and each course was prepared perfectly. Service was fine, although our waiter was a bit preoccupied due to the restaurant being packed. We will definitely go back again so we can try the regular menu.
I would give Bungalow 10 stars. We went there Thanksgiving and it was packed. Our dinner was perfect. Hats off to wait staff and the kitchen. Most times you go our on a holiday the food is cold and overcooked. This was perfectly presented, turkey hot and moist.

Food and Service were very good.
Because it was a holiday, Thanksgiving, I was afraid that food and service were not going to be great. I was way off and everything was really good. Timing was also perfect when one course was complete, they were timed just right for the next course. All the help was friendly and if I needed something they were right on it.

We were there for our anniversary. We were looking for a place that had good food and atmosphere, we were not disappointed!
My husband said his ribeye was the best he had ever eaten and I'd have to say the same for my rack of lamb. We will definitely make the Bungalow our go to place. Thank you Bungalow for helping to make our anniversary so special.
We are accustomed to nice restaurants and had not found one in our area since moving to So.CAl last year. We have to go to LA or San Diego. We tried Bungalow because it showed up on OpenTable. We wanted somewhere nice and quiet, yet classy and quaint. From the valet to the entrance to being seated and throughout the meal, it was wonderful. It was nice a quiet for a husband and wife outing. We loved being there. Everyone/everything was excellent. I wanted halibut but they sold out so I had to have the salmon; it melted in my mouth. My husband had short ribs that fell off the bone. Both meals were 5stars!
My niece was served a glass of ice water with a bottle cap in the bottom of it. next her wine glass had a huge lipstick mark on it. The server took care of it but was not very apologetic. The food was just so - so - not the topic of conversation as to how good it is. The manager followed with un asked for complimentarry desserts but truthfully, the poor begginngs at the table overshadowed the event.
Food was ok little too salty for me and I have to drink allot water that night. The grill artichoke wasn't hot more like warm. When I ask my server what is great gin for my martini and he said he prefer Hendricks gin so I believe his choice but When I got my bill there is additional 3 dollar fee for Hendricks gen plus my $13 dollar martini. I prefer the server at least let me know that there is a additional charge for it and i wouldn't mine paying for it.
This was our 2nd visit. The service was good, food was average. It's a bit of an older crowd and the vibe was a bit stale in the restaurant. (On our 1st visit we sat on the patio in back as we didn't have a reservation. ) For the money, there are more modern dining experiences in area.
The server made up for the shortfalls.
