   A showcase of hunting - truly stunning. But the food and the and the way it is presented is very disappointing. In other words, I don’t want to pay 60 $ for a small and mediocre steak which is served on a plate which looks like acquired from the cheapest retailer.

   It’s like going back to the 18th century with a very special touch of impressive collection of animals all over the walls, the food was superb as well.

   We had an amazing experience. My wife and I were visiting Denver for the first time and the Buckhorn was recommended to us by a former city resident. We were looking for a special place as we had an anniversary to celebrate. With the Buckhorn Exchange we hit the jackpot. A reservation made and kept and a welcoming host guided us to the upstairs bar where we enjoyed a procured cocktail and had a sensory overload with tastes, sounds and over the top ( in a good way) sights! The bar person was a sweetheart serving up 20 beverages to 19 different patrons and she never missed a beat. Smiling and joking when a mere human easily could feel overwhelmed. Every employee we encountered wanted to describe the museum quality surroundings with pride and enthusiasm. Our server Priyanka couldn’t have been more personable and attentive. Her ability to communicate and interact with us in the most genuine and caring manner made our experience every bit as good as any 5 star Michelin level restaurant.

   Hadn’t been here in 15 years and nothing’s changed, which was awesome!! Get the buffalo prime rib, you won’t be disappointed.

   We celebrated our anniversary tonight at the Buckhorn Exchange in Denver and had a wonderful time. My husband had the tenderloin, small portion (which was anything but small). It was cooked exactly to his liking. I ordered my grilled salmon 'cooked no more than medium rare' and it, too was perfect. Although the salmon seemed a bit pricey at $44 one needs to consider that all of the entrees include a very nice house salad and choice of a carb (potato baked, mashed or chips or wild rice pilaf) and warm rolls. Our service (thanks Kay!) was excellent. We'll be back!

   We had high hopes! My family and I dined there last night as a normal family dinner. We ordered the fried alligator tail, beef filet, stroganoff soup, bison filet and the high plains buffalo prime rib. My son and I ordered our filets medium rare. They were hands down the worst filets we’ve ever had. Mine tasted like a fried hamburger and the grill marks were heavily charred so much that we had the grit from it until we got home to brush our teeth. My husbands prime rib was the saving grace. I ate part of his because I returned my filet. The waitress felt bad and took it off our bill and gave us a free apple pie slice, which was delicious. The portions are very small. Our cocktails were insanely strong. We love a good cocktail and if it was a weekend night I would have finished my drink but woo-wee! Anyways, the atmosphere is cool and worth the visit. My advice is to order the prime rib, super good. The fried alligator was good too but very small portion.

   We absolutely loved our experience in the buckhorn. You could tell how professional they are and how good they know their job. Will definitely keep that place in mind for years from now.
