A little oasis in the middle of an area which is seeing rapid change. Lovely atmosphere, food and staff. Just as nice for a long, unhurried lunch as it is in the evening. Not cheap but so worth it…

Went for the Sunday lunch on my girlfriends birthday. The food was delightful, and very reasonably priced. It can get a little noisy at times, but it's part of the charm. On Sunday's the Columbia Street flower market is there which is nice to walk through, although very busy

We arrived early so thought we would have a drink at the lively bar. To our surprise the barman not only had sherry but gave us his thoughts on it making a comeback ! We lovely the theatrical quirky atmosphere of the place. The staff were attentive, the food delicious so we are pleased that we had booked it. A fun experience.

I have been to Brunswick House many times but it just gets better and better. The rather abstract service of yesteryear has gone, the food is seasonal and exceptional and, considering the ingredients, it is good value. Our meal was the best yet with friendly, informed service in a most convivial atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Had lunch here with 3 friends with whom I lunch on a regular basis. Venue is striking with unusual decor and easily accessible by public transport Food was excellent and a bit different but service was slowish and haphazard. Soup was delicious but not hot enough. The 2 waiters were friendly and smiley but it felt as though they had not been trained properly. A wrong order resulted in having to wait for some vegetables. Food and drinks were placed on the edge of the table rather than individually served,. No great complaint and would go again and recommend the venue to others but service needs to sharpen up. We paid the additional service charge but felt slightly cheated.

Great food with unusual combinations. Attentive staff who carefully explained menu. Not cheap but food excellent. Nearly £100 for two people having two courses including service charge because of extremely expensive wine (we went for least expensive).

Service was very good, attentive and prompt. I found the food very expensive and very small portions for the main course, you have to order sides. Wine is also expensive.

Tough beef (rare isn’t the same as having to hack at it and chew forcefully) and had to request steak knife! Beef was given more cooking time after I was asked if it was ok. Really good stonebass though. Great sorbet (ginger and pear). Tiny starter but tasty.

Chose Brunswick House for an annual family lunch, having had a number of truly exceptional experiences there in the past. Tuesday, restaurant was empty, but the food was simply not as memorable as I recall: an old spot terrine was really disappointing: fridge-cold and cake like; celeriac soup was 'OK' and the squid 'well, squid'... Main courses found the old spot (I think shoulder) 'nothing special'; sea bream with quinoa was delicious but not alchemical; and the leaves and salads just OK. However the roast cornish potatoes were exceptional - a flash of vivid flavour and flair applied to an ordinary vegetable - exactly what I recall from previous visits. Our choice of wine was perhaps unfortunate - a flint-dry Chablis, hard as nails, which also took the price up a bit; whereas their house white is absolutely delicious. Puds were OK, and my cheese excellent and correctly room temperature. So a tad disappointed - on this visit, lunchtime's not the place at its best.

Looks great from the outside and online, but weird vibe on entry. The front of house started complaining about OpenTable and how they were trying to get rid of it, then sat us in the empty dining room and gave us a lunch menu. After asking for a brunch menu we were told it had stopped, which was odd as in the bar area people were just being served with brunch items. We paid for our bread and left. Just and odd feel, and empty not because of OpenTable but because they don't do all day brunch on a Sunday in London!

THE PORTIONS ARE REALLY TOO SMALL. THE STARTER WAS TOO SALTY (I HAD SQUID) IMAGINATIVE COOKING, BUT NOW IT HAS BECOME TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YOU GET. I USED TO BE A REGULAR VISITOR, BUT WILL NEED TO LOOK ELSEWHERE. THIS IS A PITY BECAUSE I REALLY LIKE THE PLACE. BIG ADVANTAGE IS THAT IT IS NOT TOO NOISY!

Enjoyable evening at this unusual venue. Food was very good though and unusual, worth a visit for that alone. Had the pork for main which was delicious and fig ice cream yummy. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. In the same room as the bar and only thing I thought could be better was furnishing and lights which were a bit bright for my liking. You can purchase the chandeliers and mirrors on display which was unusual and quirky Enjoyable night.

Interesting place, with lots of light fittings and an eclectic mix of lights and pots! We liked it, but would criticise two things. My gin based cocktail was small, uninteresting and expensive. Secondly, my starter didn't have the beetroot stated on the menu. When I queried this, the waitress said the menu had changed a bit. That's not acceptable. I didn't actually get what I'd ordered. She didn't come back to me with a full explanation. The food is tasty, interesting, but expensive and portions are small. Overall, a pleasant experience, but they could do better.

A truly beautiful Venue. The food was superb , arrived quickly and tasted delicious. The atmosphere was friendly and we were far enough to feel like we were not interfering with other diners and vice Versa. The cocktails were refreshing and well priced- I could’ve drunk them all night they were that good! The food portions were perfect as was taste and texture. The timings between the courses were well timed. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, warm and professional and when asked for recommendations was honest and did not go for the hard sell! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the whole dining experience and look forward to coming back soon!

It’s an easy place to overlook due to it’s odd location on a very busy major junction but glad I came across it. Food is good, small (ish) portions and a little pricey but delicious. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The restaurant itself is quirky; a faded grandeur (deliberate) and I loved the fact it still felt cosy even though it’s very spacious. Would recommend

Had a lovely evening meal with my wife here in early October 2017. We each had pre-dinner cocktail at the bar before seating in the funky dining area, which has dozens of different chandeliers and light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. The meal was fantastic as well with great recommendations from the staff. We really enjoyed our meal here and would easily recommend it to any of our friends travelling through London. Was easily accessible via the Tube as well.

I found this Restaurant on a London's top 50 list . I thought this might have been good seeing as it was a list with some top recommended restaurants. Upon entering the Restaurant it felt cold and unwelcoming. The waiter seemed too eager for us to order and choose what we wanted to eat and drink. I mentioned to him please could you give us some more time to decide, but he just told me abruptly that we need to order now otherwise we would have to wait for our food. Upon receiving my starter it was nothing what it sounded like on the menu. It stated that it was a Venison ragu with noodles. It came cold and with dry tagliatelle, not noodles. When I was trying to ask the waiter about the wines he couldn't really tell me anything that would fit with our food, so I ended up ordering a bottle of sparkling wine to make it easier. overall I was very disappointing experience

Friendly service, quirky atmosphere and delicious food. Nice to have a short menu and freshly prepared dishes. Though the way the menu items are described is somewhat puzzling- e.g. The venison dish mentioned 'trotter' but that turned out to be an ingredient for the jus - no actual foot on the plate! Waiter gave a very enthusiastic explanation of all the dishes - be sure to ask!!
