Wow, what a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary after a long winter and spring. Even though things were just opening up, and with very different "norms", Broussard's rose to the occasion and provided their standard delight. Thank you so much.
The appetizers lacked a lit to be desired. Eggs bene was fine.
Food was delicious, drinks were great. The outside patio was beautiful with the string lights and umbrellas. Would definitely return.
We had a belated anniversary dinner. We were married at Broussard's on April 15, 2000 and try to get back there for our anniversary. Unfortunately, we could not go this year on that date. We had dinner this week and had a fabulous meal. The staff was very attentive. All great! Geaux Broussard's!
Glad you're open!
Service was great. Social distancing was enforced and it was nice to finally get out and test the waters during these times.
Very enjoyable visit to one of the first restaurants to reopen under Phase 1. They did a very good job despite it being only the second day of dining room service.
Also, I'm so happy that they are open and using real tablecloths, silverware and china. If guests are too nervous about this then dining indoors is probably not a good option for them anywhere at this time.
Congratulations on your reopening!
They’ve done a good job in the dining room to account for social distancing. The service is superb.
It was wonderful to be back at Broussard's. The food was excellent as always and service was great.
This was our first “post quarantine” fine dining experience, which did not disappoint! Thanks to Eddie & Joseph, it was a great! We visited for Sunday brunch and enjoyed the Josephine Eggs Benedict. Blessings to you and all of the Broussards staff as New Orleans moves forward during this challenging time!
Slow service, great food
Broussard’s is always awesome! One of my favorite spots in town even in these trying times they do their best.
Broussard's navigated their re-opening during phase 1 flawlessly. Everything was sparkling clean, all staff were wearing masks, the servers had gloves as well, menus were disposable, and the doors and windows were open for proper aeration. The food was great, as usual, and the service was great. I'm so happy they're open for table service!
So sad. The virus situation meant business was slow. At first the service was good but as the meal went we were totally ignored and the wait between the salads and entree was bizarrely long & again for the desert. We were excited to go to such a well known place & thought they’d be happy to have the business with all that was going on but turned out to be disappointing. Hopefully this was a rare situation.
We sat outside and it was a nice ambiance. The food was delicious and our two servers were wonderful (Tian and Nike). Out of the nicer places to eat, I think Broussard's is the best.
The entire experience was a major delight. The personnel are very professional but not stuffy, to the contrary, they were very pleasant with very easy smiles. Ambiance, food and the atmosphere were the best I saw during the trip and was fortunate enough to go to three other 5 star restaurants.
Great food and the bottomless mimosas just kept coming
AMAZING! The service was top notch and the food just hit the spot. Loved the ambiance
Had a wonderful brunch on the patio with engaging musicians. Food was very good and the bottomless mimosas were always full. We will return!
Do not go here. Food was.....subpar. Service was almost non-existent and there were only four tables. So not busy. Drinks were good. Absolutely the best part.
We had a very nice brunch and the music was nice. It was not crowded but this was right before we were asked to self quarantine for 15 days.
Outstanding service. Delicious meal. Staff went over and above to insure we were pleased and to tell us the history of the restaurant.
Broussards did not disappoint. When we arrived we noticed a large post convention group had the courtyard and large dining room. We were ushered into the smaller original brick dining room which was charming and we were pleased. Wait staff was very amiable however seemed distracted. (Had to go back and get his order pad). My daughter received her sparkling water and it had been 10 minutes then I had to ask for some water for myself.
The fish was perfectly done. Such a good meal. Would have given 5 stars except for the attentiveness issue.
Came here for the first time to celebrate my husband’s birthday and the food and service was excellent. We will definitely be back the next time we are in New Orleans. This is my new favorite restaurant.
Great food. Great service. Great music. One of our favorite places to go in NOLA.
The food was amazing and our servers were so prompt. The location was in walking distance from our hotel. We will go again
We had an amazing experience here celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Our servers were absolutely awesome and the food was delicious!!!
Dining room-tastefully, classically decorates. Bread-delicious. Butter-delicious. French onion soup-smelled burnt and tasted burnt until turned the bread/cheese upside down in soup. Pork chop- good but nothing special. Sweet potato was delicious. Wife’s shrimp linguini-shrimp was spicy, linguini needed more seasoning. Very rich but not very flavorful. Coffee was very good.
Good meal but nothing very special.
Beautiful atmosphere, superb service, the best food!
The food is less than its description in the menu. For example; no sherry poured onto the turtle soup. The Sunday Jazz Brunch was great ambience in the courtyard. We avoided the inside seating as it was too noisey. The food is not up to its description in the menu or online ads. The staff is very attentive.
At Broussard’s for weekend brunch. Wonderful old school ambiance. Delicious creole dishes & excellent service. The jazz group was perfect for the the atmosphere. Enjoyed the bottomless sparkling wine. Do yourself a favor and go if you enjoy an elegant creole experience.
We passed this place on a Friday night and the line was down the street. We saw a sign that said bottomless mimosas for brunch and made reservations for 6 for the next morning. We arrived when they were just getting good and started and were promptly seated in the courtyard. It was quite lovely, and the service was divine. Beware, they fill your glass with champagne each time and leave it to you to add “color” with the orange juice. If you want to moderate yourself, add the juice first. The food is tasty, but the portions are tiny and the prices, the opposite. But the service, ambiance, and serenade from the jazz trio help offset the hunger pangs. Be aware, there’s a courtyard cat named Joe who roams freely, but he’s harmless. He visited us several times as we sat and drank for a good while. Afterward, we walked around and grabbed chicken from Willie’s to sober up. The experience was nice and we’d go back again.
This restaurant received a lot of hype from the people who knew about it. We found the food to be average, a lot on the salty side, and just nothing amazed us about it. We were seated originally in a quiet hallway, but once the party of 15 behind us came in, we could not hear each other. The restaurant is beautiful to look at but not much to eat at.
The food was great overall worth a visit
Restaurant is absolutely beautiful! Food was amazing and service was top notch!
The Staff was AMAZING .. the food was great!!
Our Brunch experience was wonderful! The service provided by Carrie Ann and staff was exactly as we’d hoped, timely, attentive and friendly.
The food tickled every sense. The plates were arranged as if they were small works of art. We can not say enough about the marvelous smells and flavors of New Orleans we experienced at Broussard’s beautiful establishment.
Awful service. Server’s attitude is terrible.
Petite steak was excellent and so was the service.
Ate here the Saturday before Mardi Gras. Restaurant was not particularly busy, but the staff still had a hard time keeping up. Seemed very inexperienced. Our server had difficultly projecting, so we had difficulty hearing her.
The staff missed lots of little minor details - none of them terrible on their own, but a surprising number given the reputation (and the price) of the restaurant. Things like not fully clearing the extra place-setting and not clearing the table promptly. Taking 10+ minutes to serve a drink. Not providing steak knives until after the entrees were served.
We all left a little disappointed. When you're talking $75-$100 per person before alcohol I expect a lot more attention to detail and service. We stopped to speak with the manager on the way out (to share our experience; we had already paid our bill), she was busy listening to another table's complaints.
The wait staff was not extremely knowledgeable about the menu and how things are prepared. She seemed lackadaisical.
