Brodard chateau came highly recommended and the food did not disappoint, however the service was lacking and the food came our incredibly slow. We noticed tables next to us who ordered same or similar dishes receive their food before us even though they arrived much later than us.

This was perfect for my client, and the food was fantastic. We ordered the beef lemon grass, and the flavors were fresh and vibrant. Definitely recommend

Love all things Brodards! I am always left wanting more. The shaken beef was amazing and the spring rolls are always delicious!!! I had the vietnamese mojito and it was so good!

It’s a great place with a variety of upscale Vietnamese food. I gave it a 4 because we didn’t eat one of the desserts because it was not good. The manager asked why didn’t we like it, we gave them our opinion and she didn’t take it off the bill. We didn’t ask for her to take it off but I think it would have been a kind gesture to do so.

The waiter forgot about our order and came back to ask us again what we ordered. Then we waited more than 40 minutes and the food came out lukewarm. We ordered hot bowls of pho and got 'cold pho' ~ who would like that? There's no apology from the waiter so we decided not to come back.

Service was good. I reserved for a party of 14. I even got a phone call the night before to confirm my reservations. The staff was very attentive and food was great. One thing that could have been better - I ordered the Chateau's Special Sampler as an appetizer. It came out last after everyone got their entrees. I was expecting it to come out first so we can eat it while we waited for our entrees. We did not really get to enjoy it since we were getting stuffed from our entrees so it was barely touched and was a waste of food and money.

I arrived shortly after the restaurant opened so it was pretty empty. The staff was very attentive and friendly. It was fairly dark which didn't work very well for me as I was alone and hoped to be able to
read the paper while I waited for my food. The food was very good, although the pork roll had sausage rather than grilled pork although it was described as grilled pork but not quite what I had hoped for. It was very tasty and I did enjoy it. Best to come back with several others because the food lends itself to sharing.

Great menu. Lots of choices of Vietnamese and western style selections. Cracklings beef was delicious. Ample servings. Service was prompt and servers were friendly.

I would recommend Brodard Chateau and will return.

This was our first time visiting as my daughter wanted authentic Vietnamese food for her sweet 16th. The atmosphere the service the food we're all as recommended. We will definitely be back. Our waiter Andrew was sweet funny engaging accommodating he really made it special. One-might be that the menu had so many items we wanted much more than we ordered but everything we ordered was too much.

Service is good. Food quality is inconsistent from better to miss. The biggest miss was the beef stew having a whole lot of fatty chunks, which made it unpleasant. The portion for was also quite small. Others were ok to better.

We arrived at 7:25 for a 7:30 reservation. We were told they were waiting for a table to finish and would be a few minutes. After several minutes, I inquired and was told maybe 15-20 minutes. I was pretty surprised, unpleasantly. 10 minutes later, we saw a table open for 4 and asked if we could sit there, and just have a chair at one end. No, they said they had a nice table for 5 and we’re just waiting for the party to finish up. So we waited some more. At 7:59, they took us back to a table for 4 with a chair stuck at one end to accommodate 5. It was so tight that when seated, one chair would butt up against a nearby tables chair, thus blocking exit from the room for several other tables. We actually couldn’t sit because another large party was filing out and blocking the chair.

After eventually moving us to a booth, we enjoyed our meal. Our server was super nice and did a great job. We can’t fault him, but the 2 hostesses were valid and not helpful, almost disrespectful. It appeared they were not able to handle the large walk in demand that night. Reservations should always take precedence, IMHO.

We had small appetizers here. The Canadian escargot mango salad was delicious. We also has the famous spring rolls, I didnt expect the fried egg roll wrapper inside, but it was a nice surprise.

Calamari was good.

Overall everything was very good. Clean restaurant great for a date.

As always this is THE place for Vietnamese food. The grilled pork spring rolls are a must. And anything on the menu is delicious! A favorite on these colder days of course is Chicken Pho, which we had.

Wonderful menu and variety of tasty menu crossing over from veggies to meat. Touch of fusion but brings out best flavors of Vietnamese food with others. Highly recommended.

This is a great stand-alone restaurant that serves excellent Vietnamese fare. There are so many choices, but like a lot of Asian restaurants, sharing is expected and encouraged. There are monthly specials and a separate menu highlighting a traditional Vietnamese meal. It's a large establishment, so in the two times I've been there I've gotten seated immediately. Highly recommended.

We invited 16 friends and relatives to help celebrate my wife's birthday and all agreed it was an enjoyable party with good moderately priced food served with friendly and efficient service. Coincidentally, my granddaughter advised us that co-workers from her day job (social services) had selected Brodard Chateau for their annual office dinner and that this was a golden opportunity for her to get an advanced assessment of what that was going to be like. She plans to submit a positive report about her experience. As I indicated in the multiple choice item, I would recommend this restaurant to others for a variety of dining arrangements.

The pork spring rolls are the best item on the menu and deserve the high marks from other reviewers. I was a bit disappointed in the atmosphere as it didn’t really feel like a chateau. Server was attentive at first but then got busy so was slower in accommodating our requests. A bit overpriced compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in LA. Maybe because this is in OC so not as much competition.

Overall experience was outstanding! Seated immediately, nice quiet table and friendly service. Of course food and drinks were excellent as usual. Intend to come back soon. This place is in our top five restaurants that we visit often. If in the mood for Vietnamese food this is our go to place.

The Duck salad is delicious with a generous amount of duck meat. I have ordered Calimari on three occasions. The first two times this dish was spectacular. Unfortunately the Calimari was not cooked properly and the fried breading fell of the Calimari leaving an oily mess. We sent it back and they reprepared it and it was better however it lacked that special passion that the chef usually puts into the dish. Perhaps coming in at 8:15 PM the second string may have been doing the preparations. The recipes are excellent however it was obvious that this particular chef that cooked that night lacked passion for what he/she was doing. Food was off a little bit for this visit.

We were here to celebrate our anniversary. I tried to understand the menu and mention that the room is kind of dark to read the menu, the waiter wasn't helpful and responded "this is fine dining."
Well, silver wear is old and oily, just paper napkins, no table cloth and and dusty artificial flowers speak loudly. I won't be back.
