The food was awesome the atmosphere was great
Overall food is great as always
Service was not good though
It was indoor dining which I’m not totally comfortable with. When we made the reservation, I thought it would be outdoor patio.
Service is not as good as before food are OK, restaurant closed early....they asked us to leave at 9:30pm ☹️
We loved our dinner at Brodard chateau. The team does a great job making everybody feel safe and keeping things clean, and the food was outstanding. Servers were very friendly.
Our party arrived on time and our table was already setup with a RESERVED sign. The appetizer we ordered a sample platter with the most flavorful rolls. The entrees came out right after and they are all good. The only disappointment was we are so closed to the 22 Freeway, and the noise level is pretty loud. We wish they would let us go back inside soon. Thanks.
The food was good but swing that they didn’t have many customers to attend at the outside patio.. I think they would be faster on the service. I had to call the waiter twice before getting another drink
Full disclosure: I love this place but we were sat outside for COVID dining restrictions so this killed the ambiance and you could hear the traffic on the 22 going by. Food is always great. Victoria is beyond the best and always makes the dining experience amazing.
Great experience! Our server, who has been our bartender before, was attentive and, makes the best passion fruit Bellini I have had! It is tart with real passion fruit puree vs syrup. I had the Chauteau Brodard vermicelli and we had the chicken lettuce cups. Very good. I was happy to see masks required except while dinimg.
I love this place. The quality of food has been consistent whether I’ve dined here for lunch, dinner or got takeout. The food arrives quickly, is hot and delicious! The servers are efficient and quick, can’t ask for more!
Great for our group of 8. Food was great and nice atmosphere to talk and enjoy each other without needing to shout across the table. Service was good. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return.
Horrible dining experience.
The service is 1 Star. They forgot about us and hardly checked on us. We spent all night having to inquire about where everything was. The specialty cocktails tasted watered down. We had the lychee martini on the servers recommendation and the kumquat basil.
Our so called dessert took 10 minutes for something they serve up on a plate. They checked on us once if we hadn't asked for them to check on our food we may have never gotten our food.
The pictures below are of what we ordered. Grilled shrimp spring rolls do not actually contain shrimp. Cake does not actually have cake it was just mousse.
Our entree items were okay but not worth the prices. We ordered the shaken beef and king salmon in parchment. The shaken beef was cooked inconsistent ranging from almost too raw to eat to cooked. The salmon was cooked alright but there were chunks of fat to the point that some bites were of just fat not meat.
Would not recommend. Horrible service, mediocre quality.
And to add to the horrible service I find out the next morning they marked me as a no show when I clearly made my reservation.
The restaurant does not live up to it's past. As a Jonathan Gold 101 pick for several years, we went there and loved it. It is now in a new location, modern, loudish, and the food is good, just not special
Delicious food as usual. Servers were pretty attentive but we had to remind them more than once of a couple of items. We got one dish after we were pretty much finished with everything else and we never got the other one.
Great vibe, delicious food, quick and friendly service, spring rolls are legendary, will become a frequent destination for me from now on.
terrific service from staff. Extensive menu selection at reasonable prices. I'll have to come back soon.
Very good food. It was fresh, served warm a cooked to order.
My 1st time to this delicious Vietnamese cuisine. What a great place. We ate a lot. Way to much but it was so good. Will definitely be back.
Their pork spring roll is a bomb. It's always perfect.
We wanted to try something new, not knowing too much about Vietnamese cuisine. We enjoyed trying new things, and would like to go again.
This place has great Vietnamese food at reasonable prices. Great replacement for me for S Vietnamese, which closed a couple of years ago.
The Ahi salad had a wonderful light, but very tasty dressing and the shrimp spring rolls were delicious. We also added Vietnamese Udon soup and had a wonderful meal for 2 people.
Service was very attentive, but not overbearing.
Highly recommend it and my friend and I will both be back soon.
Quick efficient and tasty
One of my favorite places to dine in OC. A meeting of East and West... both in terms of the food and the ambience. Extensive drink and food menu. Always has good buzz and energy.
Great place for a family Christmas dinner! Everything we ordered was delicious and even though the restaurant was packed, service was friendly and efficient.
Yummy! Food was great.
Outstanding food and service. Prices are so reasonable. We love bringing family here.
Incredible food. Great service. Can’t wait to go back many times to try all of the dishes.
The spring rolls are AMAZING!
Service and food were spectacular. The pork spring rolls are a must!
Appreciation and Christmas celebration for our ladies bible study group.
I chose Brodard Chateau by recommendation from the LA Times best restaurant list.
I was visiting from Seattle and was looking for excellent Vietnamese food; I found it at Brodard Chateau.
We had a nice time. The Shaken beef and duck salad was good. Pork spring rolls were a bit too chewy and garlic chicken with noodles needed vegetables. Other than that we will continue to go to the one on Brookhurst. That is our fAvorite but the noise level is higher and wait time often long.
Fast expedited appointment.
Great waiter kept vigilant in our needs. Ample parking. Clean restroom
My friend’s and I went this place for a friend’s birthday party. I wrote in the notes on Open Table that it was for a milestone birthday, however, no mention of a congratulations from the front hostess nor the severs. Some restaurants offer a free dessert or complimentary drink, however, this place must not offer those things. This was disappointing since the question was asked on the reservation if there was a special occasion. The food and service were very good but when we mentioned to the waiter that this was for a birthday, they did not bring out even a candle on the dessert that we asked for. Small details make a big difference in service and perception.
Great food, great drinks server was spot on with recommendations
A little disappointed with the dishes i got of the family meal menu. Bo luc lac was no where near the one you got from Vietnam. And i grew up from there until i was a teenager, so I definitely knkw what vietnamese food supposed to tasted like It was way too sweet. We also got thit kho and ca kho, they were well season but a bit more salty than it supposed to be. Got ong choy and it was sweet more than other flavor. We got nem cuon and duck cuon, they were okay. Overall i wasnt super happy with the food for the price I have to spend. First time in Socal and keep hearing so much about Brodard. Maybe I should go try the OG Brodard and give them another chance there!
Food was great! Servers were very helpful. Only real issue was the parking.
Excellent service, seated immediately, truly remarkable food - the duck spring rolls and shaken beef were wonderful. A+++ Will go again soon - this was our first visit.
Always enjoy Chateau Brodard... great good and drinks. We always let our server surprise us with one of their favorite dishes and we are never disappointed!
The service & appetizers were very good.
