Brockton Villa is a beautiful historic home converted into a restaurant located directly across from the ocean. Our seaside location offers a spectacular view of the world-famous La Jolla Cove, and has become a favorite "show off" spot for locals and visitors alike. We are known for our breakfasts, including our famous Coast Toast. Our chef creates many other wonderful dishes seasonally for lunch and our dinner service.
Our house is the perfect place for you to host your next party. Whether it be a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, baptism, bridal shower, baby shower, or any special occasion.
Brockton Villa loves families! Please don't forget to include your little ones in your reservation count!

Thank you for accommodating us during this difficult time of the Corona Virus. Your staff was very hospitable, did not show fear and only wanted us to be able to enjoy the spectacular view you offer! Keep up the good work! Wonderful Team!
Great views and great service.
Awesome view! Staff was on top of it and fun. Look forward to next visit.
It was great to enjoy brunch close to the ocean; however, we were outside up against the wall, right behind the door and it was FREEZING!!! There was no heater available in that spot so it put a damper on the whole experience.
But the food and the service was great!
Waiting Bryan needs training on how to serve people that aren’t like him and his family and friends.
Definitely get the Coast Toast or the Crab Benedct. Delicious. A great morning view of La Jolla Cove with birds and penipedes.
Casual beach dining. Beautiful view
Great place for brunch with an awesome view of La Jolla cove!
Excellent service and an amazing view. The food is delicious. The rose turmeric latte was perfect!
Love this place. It feels like you're back in the days when the cottages lined the street overlooking the cove. The food is delicious and well prepared and the prices are very reasonable.
Adorable spot, right on the water. Great menu for a light snack or a full meal. Only downside: they only serve beer and wine BUT it’s the perfect spot for a glass of wine and bite as the sun sets over seal harbor.
We sat outside at sunset fantastic view and out server was great plus the food was very good and reasonable prices
I have lived in San Diego for about 25 years, and this was the first visit to the Brockton Villa. We went for lunch on a Wednesday. Our server was OK, but was nothing special and was certainly no help when asked if there was something vegetarian that could be done that wasn't on the menu. Which leads to...the lunch menu is a disaster for a vegetarian if you want something other than a salad or quinoa. The salad (good size, not huge) was $15 and mediocre. My friend also believed the experience was underwhelming. The breakfast/brunch menu looked good, and it's a beautiful location. Be aware there is a flight of stairs and no elevator.
Went to Brockton Villa for a Galentine's Brunch this weekend. We ran into massive delays trying to get to BV because... La Jolla on a Sunday. I called BV to let them know that we were going to be delayed (like 20 minutes behind) and the hostess couldn't have been more understanding. She said not to worry and that they'd be holding our table and then told us to drive safely. So many places would be cancelling your reservation at that point, but they were super understanding.
Since our reservation was at 3pm, they were only serving their limited menu, but it still included some fantastic options! We definitely ordered the coast toast for the table as well as multiple carafes of mimosas with the chili mango juice.
The ambiance is always on point with great views of the water and such a cute and homey decor inside. HUGE fan of this place - will be back many more times.
Great food and service. Came from DC and was able to order Coast Toast for dinner which was great.
It was good
Fantastic setting and view of LaJolla Cove and the Pacific. Very attentive wait staff and fantastic meal.
The Valentines menu at Brockton Villa was very nice.
A late lunch on Valentines Day perched on the historic deck over looking La Jolla Cove couldn’t have been better! A BLT with a crisp salad with sherry vinaigrette, and a Mediterranean chopped salad bursting with artichoke hearts hit the spot. The weather cooperated with porcelaine blue sky , sparkling surf with bright red kayaks bobbing on the water, and cooperative pelicans swooping in our line of sight...was...well perfect!
Good service, and we will do it again!
Love the view
We had an excellent dining experience! The view of the ocean set off the perfect beginning to our relaxing trip. My boyfriend and I loved the food almost as much as the ocean view. The reservation process was also very easy to navigate. We highly recommend!
We came here for a Valentine's lunch and were able to get a table outside on the upper deck overlooking the ocean! They had floor heaters as it was a bit chilly since it is all shaded. The lunch menu had several items that were intriguing and we settled for a cowl of their chowder, corned beef sandwich and the BV lobster sandwich. All of our food was delicious! As locals, we've forgotten how superb the food and view is at BV - prices are very reasonable too for a La Jolla restaurant with a view. Will definitely come back sooner than later!
Great location and Clam Chowder!
Birthday brunch for my wife. Amazing view of the cove from the patio. Food and salted caramel lattes were great, service was exceptional (thanks Ivey!!) and we didn’t wait long at all to eat. Great experience, we’ll be back soon!
Our first trip to Brockton Villa and it greatly exceeded my expectations. We were spending a few days in LaJolla wanted to eat someplace with a view that would also not burn a hole in our pocket book. Frankly, I was expecting more view than food, but the food was excellent - well prepared and very tasty. I had salmon and my wife had scallops (of which it would have been nice if there were four, rather than three), plus a walnut, pear and cheese salad that was excellent. We just happened to be there on a night when it wasn't very busy and managed to sit at a table in front of the fireplace. The service was excellent and the price of the meal fair for what we received.
Hostess and waitress were very friendly. Fruit was fresh (though could have been riper), and French toast was delicious! Wonderful view of ocean from porch!
We'v never been disappointed. The wait staff is superior. We' be back! Thankyou!
Delicious food. Darren was a great server. The Coast Toast and cinnamon roll pan ale are amazing.
We've driven to La Jolla several times to specifically eat at this resturant for brunch. We love their food and the views. The staff is always wonderful.
We made a reservation prior and upon arrival waited for 10 minutes only and was seated with a perfect view of the water. We had wine and ordered the special menu for restaurant week. The pasta was perfect and the dessert World famous French toast ala mode was delicious.
Over all it was a good experience!!
The view in La Jolla cove you cannot beat. We were seated on the patio and it was amazing. Food and service was also great. I would recommend for brunch or lunch any day. A great find :)
Beautiful view of La Jolla cove. You can see the ocean as you eat!
We went out as a family and were placed next to the toilet. We asked to move to the table next to us, however we were told the restaurant was busy that evening. We were moved to a table below the cash register outside. Not that great. Others after us got seated inside the restaurant or at the front by the water on the patio. Just wondering if it was discrimination as we were a mixed couple with teenage daughters. Or that we had teenage daughters. The food was great on the other hand.
Brockton is located right on the water. You can hear and watch the waves crash against the rocks. The setting is beautiful. The selection for lunch was good, you could order breakfast or lunch type meals. You could also order fancy drinks. It is a very nice place to enjoy the morning or afternoon or evening.
Nice restaurant but slow service. If not in a hurry, it was nice.
The Brockton Villa has been my favorite place for years in all of San Diego county.
We came here for Restaurant week. Ambience and location are great. Staff was pretty friendly and accommodating. We were not blown away by the taste of the food which was disappointing. The upstairs patio is also very chilly. They should install some heaters to make the dining experience more comfortable vs trying to heat the whole space with a tiny plug-in space heater. They do provide airline-like blankets. They should consider upgrading those; I mean, the place is located waterfront in La Jolla. Patrons expect more quality.
The food was good but the service was a little lacking. Even with a reservation we had to wait about 15 minutes.
Great place for dinner, wonderful views of the ocean while dining!
We really enjoyed the food and location. We have been there many times before.
