Celebrated our anniversary. Great experience. Excellent service! Brunch was superb, we had the baked apple, grilled oysters, the pork chop, and eggs hussarde. The grits are unbelievably awesome. Bananas Foster was as the reputation states; exceptional! We will be back.
This place was recommended to us by several people familiar with the Nola food scene. We were not disappointed! It was hard to make a selection, the menu offered great choices. I went with the turtle soup and bacon & egg risotto, both were outstanding. My husband had the gumbo and eggs cardinal and was equally impressed. Service was excellent!
Plates are a little on the small side. Food is tasty and the service was excellent!
We have an absolutely lovely and exceptional experience every time we go to Brennan’s. The food is an adventure and the service makes you feel at home.
Nice place. Ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner, prices were fair for level of food and portions.
We went here for pur anniversary dinner. I notified them ahead of time and we 're I ever complimentary Champaign and a special dessert. It was really a wonderful experience.
Brennan's has a lot of history, so it was fun to go to again (hadn't been there in years). It was a wasted meal in New Orleans. Nothing wrong with it- just nothing stellar, and there are so many other good spots to go to. The drinks and coffee were excellent. The service was generally very good (though not outstanding, and certainly not personable). The food was disappointing. I go to New Orleans several times a year, but my wife was with me this time and we could have done so much better. It is nicely done in decor, so it was fun from that standpoint.
Our waitstaff were awesome. I think that it was Robert and Patrick. There was a large group with us and they responded to everyone. The food was to die for and we all tasted everyone's entree. Wished we had had time to visit again.....till next time.
Our Anniversary breakfast at Brennans was my favorite meal during our Mardi Gras visit to New Orleans. A must do. John and Patrick were wonderful! :)
The brunch was delicious as anticipated. The bananas foster was not only tasty, but its prep is always a fun show to watch.
The only glitch in our meal was that the restaurant did not have my reservation. This was obviously their mistake because I had a confirmation email AND had received a phone call from the restaurant for further confirmation. Thank goodness I had the proof because it was busy Mardi Gras time.
We had a lovely time. This was a first time visit for my friends and it turned out to be their favorite dining experience during our five day stay in New Orleans.
Not a lot to be said. Everything was perfect.
Every time I eat at Brennan's, I am reminded why it is one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in New Orleans. The food is always excellent, its signature dishes are special and memorable, and the staff is knowledgeable not just about the food being served, but the history of the restaurant. We had breakfast there this time during Mardi Gras, so service was a little slower than usual. We did not mind, however, because breakfast at Brennan's during Mardi Gras is not something that needs to be rushed.
We had dinner here during Mardi Gras. The appetizers were excellent and inventive, and the entree was excellent. Special shout out to our outstanding waitstaff— you will never want for anything. I was unfortunately not feeling well during the meal and had to leave the table a few times. Despite that they were very attentive and acted as if my poor husband was not experiencing anything unusual (LOL). I gave them 4 stars only because the decor seemed a little dated to me. The patio was probably nice but it was raining so we couldn’t be out there.
We had an excellent meal! The food and service was impeccable! Richard Shakespeare and his staff made the experience special. Can not wait to book a group in the wine room!!
The service we received today was much poorer than what we normally receive at Brennan’s. It was over 10 minutes before we were greeted at our table and the waiter seemed put off by us at the very beginning. We were never offered desert- we felt rushed. Not normal Brennan’s.
Our experience af Brennan’s was absolutely phenomenal! The food was unbelievably delicious and fresh (highly recommend the bananas foster for dessert), the staff were exceptional and so friendly and the overall atmosphere was just gorgeous! I would 100% recommend this place to anyone and I’m looking forward to going again!
Haven't lived in New Orleans for 35 years; I felt like I was 'home' when we dined there recently. Thank you for keeping your Southern Charm & hospitality.
an'sWhenever in New Orleans, always try to eat at Brennan's. I have thoroughly enjoyed eating here over the last 30+ years. Never disappointed.
