Outstanding service and attention to detail. Incredibly prepared menu items which were just 'to die for'.... We will definitely be back soon.
consistently great. service with attention to detail.
My father grew up in NOLA and said the one thing I had to do was go to Brennan's and get the Eggs Hussarde. I did and it was very good! My eggs were poached a little top hard but the flavor of the hollandaise and wine sauce made up for that. Now, he said he paid two and a quarter and now it's that plus twenty nevertheless it was worth it. Our server was not as attentive as the servers of our neighboring tables but was good when she did show up. I'd love to go again and try dinner!
Wonderful from start to finish
Food was outstanding but timing of matching wine for starter was too slow and the sides for the main course didn’t arrive until we had nearly finished our meal.
Had dinner for two on a Monday evening. We ordered the venison and duck and both were excellent. The show stopper, however, was the bread pudding.
Bananas Foster was delicious! The service was outstanding. We really enjoyed Brennan’s and would highly recommend.
It was a very satisfying and enjoyable experience. I will highly recommend it to my friends
Brennans has been a destination in my family for two generations. This was my third time here, I wanted to come here for my birthday breakfast and it was extremely disappointing. I get the same thing every time, the amazing French toast. And this time it was brought up to me cold, soggy, and disappointing. Not like any of the other times I’ve been here.
Delicious food with a classic, New Orleans flair. Service is great, with attention to detail.
Always a fabulous meal and experience at Brennan’s
Food was great! I love the atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
It was worth the experience. Wish the service was a little bit more on top of things. Once we got our food, server didn’t come by to ask how was everything or ask if we wanted a refil on drinks. Had to stop someone and ask. Though they were busy but it was excellent food!
It is NOLA, start to finish. Amazing food & drinks. Service was great but a bit slow but that also means they didn't rush us. Perfect spot for a special birthday celebration!
Had Sunday brunch-delightful!
A must do NOLA brunch! Bananas foster are worth the hype!
What a spectacular experience. Went for Sunday brunch, and couldn't have been happier. Waiter John was one of the best servers we have ever had, anywhere.
The food was amazing as always, the main server was a little stiff but her back waiters were very friendly.
We had a wonderful brunch at Brennan's. Our server John went above and beyond to give us a special experience. Brennan's is the kind of place where all of the elements come together seamlessly: the delicious food, the friendly and knowledgeable service, the creative cocktails, and the beautiful room. I recommend it highly - thank you.
Treat myself to birthday brunch
I can’t rave enough about this place. The service was excellent, the food was superb and the ambience was amazing! I highly recommend Brennan’s!!!
Perfect spot. Beautiful restaurant. Our waiter was top notch!
Still a holiday favorite!
My birthday dinner at Brennan’s gets better every year.
Great service, great food!
We absolutely love this restaurant. Had a wonderful New Orleans meal. Great food and wonderful service. Really good wine selection. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting that wanted to experience New Orleans culinary delights
Brennans was the best food we had in NOLA, and that's saying something! My wife had the gumbo, which she thought was by far the best all trip, and the barbeque lobster, which was prepared perfectly. I had the kim chee shrimp, which was surprising and memorable - the kim chee is very mild and perfect with the shrimp. All of the seafood was cooked just perfectly - amazingly tender and succulent. The service was terrific, but the food was just on another level. Yum.
The food was great, however, there should be a few glasses of wine that are more moderately priced (9-10$) and even though the waiters were very personable, the food took a long time to come out.
Pompano amandine was absolutely the best piece of fish I have ever had.
While our husbands were in business meetings, we ladies decided to enjoy each other’s company. What better place to do that than world famous breakfast at Brennan’s? From the first moment we were greeted by cheerful and friendly staff. Since it was December, there were seasonal decorations including a Christmas tree clad in Brennan’s signature pink. Our food was a feast for the eyes as well as the palette, and served piping hot. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and were sporting complimentary jingle bells on pink ribbons when we left.
Our server John, needs an attitude adjustment. His facial expressions behind my back showed that he didn't consider us to be worthy of eating at Brennans.
The maitre d'hotel also did not respond to welcome us or to our thanks when leaving. I am not used to this from your restaurant. Otherwise, we enjoyed ourselves.
Excellent service from our waiter Michael. We went to celebrate 2 birthdays and had a fun surprise at the end of the meal. All 4 of us were happy with our meals and beverages!
The food was excellent. Appetizers came out promptly and were perfectly prepared. Entrees took quite a while to come out and mine was not as warm/fresh as it could have been. But it tasted good. The ambience is marvelous and the staff were friendly.
It was everything I hoped for. Decor was charming, staff was gracious and accommodating plus the food was absolutely delicious.
On our first visit to New Orleans we decided to take our sister to Brennan's for her birthday. The evening started out fine as we were seated quickly and they had decorated the table with a pink ribbon in honor of our sister's birthday. Our first contact was with a young lady who took our drink orders and then attempted to uncork the bottle of wine I had brought for dinner. Unfortunately she broke the cork off in the bottle and had to take the bottle to the bar to have the sommelier remove the cork. Next we were greeted by our waiter who was full of energy and immediately wished our sister a happy birthday. At this point everything was going well. Next, we ordered an appetizer (grilled oysters) and I ordered a cup of Gumbo. Both the oysters and the Gumbo were good. . .not great. This is when things started to go a little bit sideways. We ordered dinner: I had the DUO OF PORCELET which was roasted pork tenderloin & braised pork belly ravioli on a cornmeal polenta. My other sister ordered "The Taste of New Orleans" which was a 3-course dinner that included a CREOLE WALDORF SALAD, GULF FISH AMANDINE and PRALINE BREAD PUDDING for dessert. The birthday girl ordered the SEARED SCALLOPS with Florida clams, Kabocha squash, vermicelli rice noodles, bok choy & blue crab nage. Unfortunately my sister's Gulf Fish Amandine was overcooked and cold requiring it to be sent back to the kitchen for a re-fire. Overall, the entrees were just good. . .not great. At this time, our waiter whom we hadn't had any contact with throughout our meal as he was paying most of his attention to the large table nearby finally asked us how our dinners were. We then sat for over 20 minutes before the Manager (one of the Brennans) actually came to our table and prepared the Bananas Fosters for my sister's dessert. I think they realized our dining experience had not been the greatest so they comped our desserts and waived the $25 corkage fee. Expected a lot, could have been so much better. Oh well. . .
In NOLA for a concert and hadn’t been to Brennan’s in several years. The menu is much more pared down than it used to be and my favorite dish (Oysters Sardou) is no longer on the brunch menu. The pear mimosa was very nice, though and the turtle soup with sherry is still wonderful. It was a few weeks before Christmas and they were passing out jingle bell necklaces...nice touch!
We had a wonderful time!
We can’t wait to visit again!
We made reservations for brunch at Brennan's for our 49th wedding anniversary. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating or gracious. The food was delicious and we enjoyed everything about our experience there as usual. Our waiter John, was informative and friendly without being intrusive. The sparkling wine with fresh pear juice was a refreshing change from the ubiquitous mimosas. If you enjoy turtle soup, this is the place. Many thanks for a wonderful experience.
