It was truly a fantastic experience. The food was delicious. The service incredible. While we sat inside which was lovely the patio looked delightful for a sunny day. A not to be missed experience in New Orleans.
Except for the fact they reported to Open Table that we didn't show up, I was happy with the place
The last time I ate at Brennan's was 33 years ago. I was in New Orleans with my parents and we had brunch there. We ordered the Bananas Foster for desert and loved it so much we bought the cookbook! Years of setting off our kitchen smoke alarm making the delicious dessert followed. This visit, all these years later, did not disappoint. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the short rib benedict and that famous flaming banana dessert once again. Our server was such a pro and let me record the dramatic flambé experience.
Make a reservation to ensure a table.
Enjoy this jewel of New Orleans!
The service was top notch. The food was imaginable and memorable. What more can you ask for in such a beautiful setting? We will definitely be back if we are in NOLA again.
Poached eggs were hard boiled. Coffee was like warm. I won’t recommend the breakfast again. Oh the turtle soup with my special breakfast wasn’t served. Not the old Brennan’s
Another place that time forgot and where their pride in the past prevents their continued reinvention.
Mediocre food, pretentious, disorganized, overstaffed, and incompetent service, prices too high (though not extreme for NOLA).
We both had the lunch special. It is a smaller portions sample of the regular menu. Appetizers and dessert are included in the price. I had the grits and shrimp, delicious and we both had the delicious bread pudding. Would definitely go back again
Everything about our dinner was exceptional! Our servers were attentive but not hovering and our meal was fantastic.
Superb Service! Outstanding experience!
We always have Sunday brunch here when we are in town. It is one of the most beautiful restaurants and I always enjoy the broiled oysters and the rabbit rushing. Today was no exception, but there was no love in the room. We heard that Patrick, the long-time maitre d is now at their newest restaurant, Red Fish Grill, and his absence at Brennan’s is evident. We never saw our server Rodney (receipt says Rauch) again after he took our order - no offer of sherry for the turtle soup, no inquiry as to how we enjoyed our appetizers or entrees, no offer for desserts (which we did not have time for anyway, since service was by far the slowest we have ever experienced). We’re not sure why, perhaps it was because we did not order cocktails, but he clearly decided we were not worth his time. We’ve never been disappointed before, but sadly we were today. Overall, not an enjoyable experience.
We had a wonderful Sunday brunch at Brennan's. The food and service were outstanding. It is a little pricey but not that much different than other nice restaurants in the French Quarter. We did not order bananas Foster but the couple at the next table did, and we enjoyed the presentation. I highly recommend!
My second visit to Brennan's and the ambience, service and food are great.
This is definitely NOLA fine dining. It is definitely “high end “and expensive, but great for fabulous food and service.
Great birthday celebration for my dad on our trip to New Orleans. Beautiful atmosphere and great vibe. The food was rich, but wonderful for a special treat. Of course, pretty pricey, but worth it for an occasion.
My go to breakfast/brunch location when in town.
Nice staff, above average service, food is ok but overpriced. So many options in Nee Orleans this one hasn’t kept up.
Have been wanting to eat here for years... mainly lived up to hype - wish they had not put us in corner by bathrooms and kitchen, the traffic (mainly servers) was not pleasant or relaxing.
Dinner was on a day of torrential downpours so I had to call and say we may be a few minutes late, due to high heels on slippery cobblestone sidewalks and ankle deep gutters I wished to bypass. They were kind and accommodating, basically “big easy”-going and said “we’re waiting for you don’t worry we’ll seat you when you get here” which is not how five star restaurants tend to be so that was great!
We got table side flambé preparation for dessert of key lime crepes in blackberry sauce - delicious and entertaining. My husband started with fried frog legs garnished in flower petals, followed by pork with octopus - he loved the big meaty pieces of tentacles, smoked and very tender. I got brown butter sherry sauce lobster followed by duck with kale and apple. Food sublime!
Holding onto its reputation with great service, cuisine and atmosphere.
Excellent service and very fine meal.
Perfect mix of conversation, well timed delivery of drinks, and multiple courses.
My favorite restaurant in the city.
The food and service are both outstanding! Have dined here several times and it is consistently an excellent experience. Make reservations well in advance as it is very popular.
A true New Orleans Classic!
This is my second visit to Brennan's this week
We love the food and atmosphere This visit Eggs Sardou which I love.. dark green spinach base, huge Artichoke bottom, perfect shape and taste pouched egg and choron (tomato compound hollandaise) sauce.. MaryAnn had the Eggs Benedict, Fresh Strawberry Daqueri, Gumbo a little less thick than Thursday but very good, Delicious Lobster in Brown Wine Butter Sauce. 2 French Press Chicory Coffee, Ralph's Coffee and Banana Foster
We had a great experience
Love the Bananas Foster. Great service as always
An “old” standby reinvented
Nothing special about the food especially for the price. Seems like you are on an assembly line as to drinks, food, then bill. Wouldn’t go back again
Beautiful place. Waited quite awhile for our food - Server forgot to put our food order in. Mine came out cold & they had to redo. Couldn’t have been more apologetic. Offering free dessert for our trouble. Food was very good & service was really very good too. Would definitely go again.
Everything was wonderful.
Food wasn't hot but tasted good...bit disappointed!
Food is ALWAYS outstanding! It is a tragedy that considering there were over 10 wait staff in our section ... yet they still could not serve our brunch items together or correctly! Also there was a “wait” time of over 15-20 minutes for a glass of champagne or wine. Repeat customer but not sure we will be back😓
Entire experience was outstanding. Service was very personable and very attentive. Food was perfect and I highly recommend crepe Fitzgerald. Always have milk punch. And check out the turtles on patio.
Fabulous experience visiting New Orleans for the first time! We had been told by some people to skip the touristy spots, however, we are very glad we did not pass up this institution. Exceeded our expectations. Everything was phenomenally delicious and the service was first class!
Celebrated an anniversary there and they treated us exceptionally well. Even got free champagne for the table!
Every part of the meal from the coffee to the brunch menu and to my favorite, the Bananas Foster was amazing! Highly recommend just going and splurging a bit.
Perfect ending to our New Orleans visit. Lovely, historic setting, beautiful courtyard, outstanding service by everyone, wonderfully creative and delicious cocktails and food.
Was in New Orleans for a girls weekend and we went to Brennan's for brunch! The food, drinks and service were outstanding! The atmosphere is very true to it's historical background! The patio out back is lovely as well! Definitely a pricier brunch but worth it!
We had great service. The food was a little too fancy for my liked. The was excellent.
Brennan's never disappoints. I have been here 3 times and each time is better than the last. I enjoy watching the face of those entertain.
I have wanted to eat here for a very long time and it is worth the wait as it did not disappoint. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Each member of the party was treated equally with respect from the granddaughter up to the G mom. Food presentation was lavish and the taste of each dish was excellent. Even though I had to send items back for requests, it was handled in a timely manner. Well done and worth it.
Amazing dining experience at this gorgeous and amazingly well kept restaurant. I can’t remember our waiters name (but he sounded like he was from Brooklyn) so detailed and on point. Food was amazing as was the service. 10 stars for our Brunch.
