Excellent Indian food in a very nice setting. We dined here for our anniversary and had a very fine dinner. I can recommend the Onion Bhaji appetizer and for an entree the Butter Chicken and the Leg of Lamb. Enjoyed the carrot pudding dessert. Fine service. This restaurant has been in business over 30 years and deserves your patronage if you like quality Indian Cuisine.
Great food a very reasonable price . A family run restaurant and it show, with great service.
Food was exceptionable ! Total value here!
Every part of our meal was exceptional. We had butter chicken, tandoori chicken, lamb vindaloo, vegetable biryani, and Aloo gabi--a cauliflower and potato side with masala seasoning. Every year we come back here in February for a special night with the dearest of friends, and every year we adore the food and the people of Bombay Palace! Thank you!
Delicious food, wonderful personal service, fair prices, unusual building that really added to the atmosphere. We especially loved the tandoori vegetables; as a vegetarian, I’d never had tandoori before and this was sizzling and flavorful. We will come here again!
Food is quite good, very tasty but nothing exceptional. Service was rather preoccupied to pay attention.
Excellent food. Excellent service. Calm and sere environment
Excelente comida y ambiente MUY recomendable!!
This was our second visit to Bombay Palace and we very much enjoy the authenticity and variety of the cuisine, as well as the service and atmosphere.
Enjoyed my time here at Bombay Palace. Good food! I would come back.
Delicious meal, but quite irritating that they charged us $20 for two bottles of water when we said tap was fine... not worth squabbling about, but just something to watch out for.
Not cheap, but easily one of the best Indian restaurants in the city. The ingredients plus the expertise make it well worth it.
I really enjoyed my visit to Bombay Palace! The food was amazing! And not too spicy. The decor was beautiful and perfectly lit. The service was top knot, our server did a great job on suggesting dishes and explaining them without being too much.
This can be easily categorized as Indian Fine Dining experience only if they improve the quality of service
The food was great but the service was lacking. We asked for water at our table 4 times & the server only refilled our water once! We ordered a large beer & 2 mango smoothies but still would like to get some water due to the spicy food we've eating!
Food was flavorless. It was super expensive and the quantity of the side dishes was very less. Service was very slow
The Bombay Palace at Beverly Hills is the best Indian Restaurant I have been to. The food is incredible, the ambiance is fantastic and the location on Wilshire boulevard close to Rodeo Drive is perfect. The restaurant owner was extremely hospitable and friendly. Not to miss restaurant in LA area. I would recommend the tasting menus. Good selection of wines and Indian beers.
Excellent! My dining partner had never been there before, so it was nice to experience it through his fresh perspective and also order out of my usual comfort zone. He eats Indian food a lot, and said this was the best he had had in a very long time! The Kashmiri Pulau (rice) is a bit -- but not too much -- on the sweet side because of the fruit in contains, and quite delightful. It pairs brilliantly with just about any main dish, but especially the super hot ones. We had it with the Bhooni Hui Machi (made with salmon), and Saag Paneer -- both delish. Service seemed to be at its friendly, gracious best that night too. Happiness all around!!!!
Really bad experience from the staff that recommended us a really expensive but cheap bottle of wine out of the menu and when we complained he became extremely upset and rude even to the extent of telling us blatantly that we did not know anything about wine. We kept our cool as we had guests with us but he kept on coming back to make us feel even more unwelcome. The restaurant still charged a part of the cost of the wine which we paid but the whole experience was really bad. We would not recommend anyone to go to this place because of our bad experience.
We have been going to Bombay Palace for over 25 years and it never disappoints. Such a warm family feeling, dedicated staff (hasn't changed - a true testament to it's owners!) and delicious authentic Indian food. One out #1 favorite restaurants in LA!!!
The best Indian restaurant in Beverly Hills!!!
When we went in the evening the food was good but the lunch buffet was very poor with some of the items already finished and the dishes empty. There was a no apology and no substitute offered. The device was off-hand and not welcoming. we will not return!
Authentic northern Indian food prepared by longtime Bombay Palace chef. Very flavorful and excellent quality.
I had been to Bombay Palace in the past and quite enjoyed it, but it had been a while since my last visit. When I found myself in the area again recently, I was happy to return. This time it seemed better still. My choices were pretty straightforward: the Veggie Samosas, followed by Chicken Bhuna and Sag Paneer, with Plain Nan. Well it was heavenly! The decor hasn't changed -- nor should it have. It's clean, beautiful serenity is perfect. Service also, was warm and gracious -- and as I was dining alone, that was especially appreciated. I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit!
If you want the best Indian food in town and the best atmosphere in which to enjoy it, this is it.
This is the most expensive Indian Food I've had in LA, and I was skeptical because I've had some really good Indian Food for a lot cheaper, so it didn't seem like the sort of cuisine that needs to be upscale to be good. But it was actually better. There were things on the menu I haven't seen elsewhere, and the food was excellent. The lamb was melt in your mouth tender, all the spices on all the dishes were amazing, and the service was friendly and helpful. At the end of the meal, the server let us sit and chat for an hour with no pressure to leave, which is unusual in Los Angeles.
One of my colleagues was vegan, and there were plenty of options for him to eat, with the exception of dessert. I was very happy with the meat options... so a very good choice for mixed vegan/vegetarian/carnivores.
Beautiful tables and intriguing decor, excellent Indian food, good service by a very friendly and helpful server, fairly priced. We went as it is walking distance from The Writers Guild Theater and we were on a dinner break, and we couldn't have been more pleased by our decision.
Food tasted like it was reheated. Too big. Less is more. I will give it one more chance.🌕
This is one of our favorite go-to restaurants in Los Angeles. The food is always phenomenal, and the setting couldn't be prettier. Comfortable seating and friendly wait staff make this a memorable and enjoyable meal, all around.
I love everything about this restaurant. This is my go-to place for real authentic indian food. The staff is friendly and treats you like family. They are all warm and welcoming, and make sure that each guests is satisfied. I will return here again and again.
Excellent food and service. Restaurant has been in existance for 32 years which tells you how good it is.
Nuanced food in old world setting with beautiful Indian accents
Love this place every single time.
Great food and great service.
A 25 year old new discovery. Driven by this place for years and years before an Indian friend introduced us to this truly gourmet fare a few months ago.
We browse the menu to jump start our tastebuds and then ask the owner to make final recommendations for us.
Each dish is uniquely prepared with distinct flavor profiles and all are unique and fresh. Portions are not large so order a couple more dishes than you might otherwise. Puts the meal on the pricey side, but definitely worth it.
It also looks like they do a huge take out and delivery business. Enjoy!
Friend of mine from India told me that Bombay Palace is by far the best, most authentic Indian restaurant in Los Angeles. As someone who has never been to India all I can say is that by any standard Bombay Palace consistently serves great food, prepared with care, and served by gracious servers. Favorites include chicken dishes (both prepared in the Tandoori oven or in traditional stews), all of the lamb dishes and the fantastic breads.
The Bombay Palace is now my favorite Indian restaurant. I was greeted with extremely friendly people. The seating was comfortable with candles on the table. The restaurant was relatively quiet so I didn't have to raise my voice to be heard by guest. The food was amazing. Fresh, original ingredients, original sauces and just delicious. I highly recommend the Bombay Palace
Absolutely best Indian restaurant in LA!!! Highly recommend!
Wonderful food and ambiance. The hostess/owner is warm, kind and attentive. She obviously takes great pride in the spectacular food and service. Amazing variety.
This restaurant is a favorite of mine. Food, Service, and
Ambience are always excellent.
Really great food and staff!
Absolute delicious food in a quiet, beautiful atmosphere.
