Had reservations at 6;15pm. Arrived at 6:10 and was promptly seated. Our server, Albert, took our drink order. We also ordered 6 oysters. Drinks and oysters arrived within minutes. And then... Albert forgot about us. At 6:55, a manager walked by and we asked for our check. When he brought it back (still no Albert), he asked if we were only having drinks and oysters. We told him we had been sitting since about 6:15 and still haven’t placed our order. The manager asked to make it right and he would take our order himself. We kindly told him no thank you and we would simply pay our bill. He insisted the tab be “on the house”. We told him we would return as we are repeat customers.
Drinks were good. Oysters were excellent. Albert.... nope.
Will we return? Absolutely.
There wasn’t a single item we ordered that was not fantastic!
We normally love this place- the food was not prepared properly and had to be sent back. Waiter was not the best. The whole parking lot is torn up so be careful. We have perch- small servings for over $30
At first we were very disappointed as we had no service at all....not even water....for 15 minutes. Our waiter did finally show up after my husband went to the front to ask if we had a server. They were EXTREMELY apologetic and bought us a drink and dessert. The food was wonderful. We will go back. I am sure it was a one time thing.
Great raw bar. We had oysters and stone crab at the outdoor dining room on a pleasant November evening.
always enjoy seating out on patio. Great oysters always!
The oysters were very good. The paella was not, however, not close to the best that I have eaten. It lacked ingredients that I was expecting (i.e. fish , crab claws, oysters....)
Blue Pointe is one of my favorite restaurants. It offers great service. The salad is always crisp. the way it should be and the entrees are perfect. Over the years, I have taken many friends and family to Blue Pointe. I never worry that they won't find something they like on the menu and I have never been disappointed.
Both the sole and grouper were over-cooked and it was doubtful that the sole was in fact sole and not another fish. The other two dinners had shrimps which were also slightly over-cooked. The general consensus was "so-so" and certainly not worth the money.
Also, the electronic menus were confusing, even to us technically minded and it was extremely difficult to find what was where on the menu. In addition, two of them went flat as we were perusing the menus.
Finslly, I know that restaurants tend to make a mark-up of 200-300% on wine, but asking $42 for a bottle of Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc when it available at Costco for $7.99 is really overdoing it.
We had a wonderful meal and a great experience at Blue Pointe! Our server Albert was attentive, efficient, and so much fun. The food was delicious. We have already highly recommended the restaurant to family and friends and can’t wait to return.
Food was delicious! Just visiting for a week and went there twice. Fish & Chips were excellent!!!
Thank you for continuing to bring in perch so that I can get my Wisconsin fish fry fix. You cook it beautifully. Wonderful wait staff... always an enjoyable experience.
Overpriced for quality of food. Shrimp cocktail was very sad. Mushy limp shrimp. Server was very attentive though.
Sisters night to celebrate two birthdays. Service was attentive but not intrusive. All loved how the interactive menu allowed you to see photos of the items and see recommended pairings . Sea bass was fabulous as were the crab cakes and filet. Don’t miss the blue cheese slaw.
I take my wife here for her birthday every year. We also eat here 2 or 3 times during their lobster feast and we have never had a bad meal. The staff is friendly and they know what they are doing, real professionals.
Always good fresh seafood!!
Sarah was very personable and gave us great recommendations for the food!
Very nice good food good service and they don’t rush you it us a little pricey
We ate at the bar so we could see the football game and the bartender was busy so the service wasn't as good as other times. Food was just ok also compared to other visits.
Excellent food and great service. Kyle treated us exceptionally well! Food timed perfect with our concert plans.
Great fresh sea food creative sides. our guests enjoyed there meals as well.
fresh sea food, well prepared, great service, friendly
Food was very good - Drinks were lacking flavor. Server forgot to deliver portions of our order. When this was pointed out to him - he simply said " Oh, I forgot that??" Will be hard to recommend this to friends
Two couples celebrated my husband's birthday on a Tuesday night at Blue Pointe. The Happy Hour drinks and appetizers are excellent - especially the Roasted Brussel Sprouts! That night, each of our 4 entrees were excellent - 2 swordfish (one grilled/more done; one pan-sautéed/done medium), Parmesan-crusted Dover Sole and Fried Perch. Everything was cooked as requested / expected. However, we also ate there the previous Thursday night to celebrate our other friend's birthday. That night, the black grouper was overcooked (one on the Berry Salad and one prepared as the Veracruzana ); the Parmesan-crusted Dover Sole was a very thin filet that was dry. We only complained about the salad's grouper which was quickly replaced with one that was perfectly grilled and moist. Our server was Tim on both nights and he was excellent, friendly and immediately addressing any issues. On leaving, I did inquire if there were different chefs on different nights given the inconsistency of food preparation that we'd just experienced. I was told that the cooks rotate stations so there is no guarantee of getting the skilled person who was preparing our fish on Tuesday night the next time we may eat there.
Service, food and atmosphere was perfect for our meeting with friends who were visiting Fort Myers for the first time. They and we loved Blue Point!
Some friends and I got together to go to the last evening of “lobster fest“. The lobster special was delicious as usual, love the coleslaw and a hot rolls!!
Our next focus will be Mussel Monday...yum!
Natalie, our server, was tops. Food was delicious and served hot. Presentation is remarkably attractive.
We are still searching for low sodium entrees for medical reasons.
Outside dining is still too warm for us and we enjoyed air conditioning. Thank you for the one free meal on official birthday.
We have eaten at this restaurant several times before this one. The food has always be very good and the service was excellent. Their birthday special is excellent. I have recommended this restaurant to our friends. Enjoy.
Great food and service as usual. We have been coming here for many years and always have a good evening. Natalie ( our server was great....anticipated our needs) and the food was great as usual
The raw bar oysters and clams were good as well as your house salad. Always a high recommendation. I have dined at Blue Pointe Oyster for both business and pleasure.
Punta Gorda Yacht Brokers/Gulf Island Sails
My husband had the SeaBass. It was melt in the mouth excellent. I had the salmon adobo which was nice, nothing special. Their sweet potato fries and their cole slaw are quite good and the waiter was well versed on the food and helpful with the wine selection including allowing us a tasting.
We always ask for Albert when we dine at Blue Pointe. He is wonderful. Have eaten there many times and always receive great food and prompt friendly service. We had the lobster special and it was a great meal for the price. Highly recommend!!
Had filet and scallops. The food was prepared well but the chef lacks imagination. No seasoning on the filet, asparagus or potatoes.
Always enjoy my meals at blue pointe. Food is always delicious and inviting.
We enjoyed our dinner with the family. The gentleman that waited on us was very good and interacted with my boys! He was very knowledgeable about the menu and answered our questions.
This was our first visit to Blue Pointe. It was Lobsterfest so there were around 10 different Maine lobster options that were reasonably priced. It was happy hour so the cocktails and some of the raw bar were discounted. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and very nice. We both got raw bar appetizers which were good, and we both ordered off of the lobsterfest menu. My husband wanted to order the 12 oz grilled strip steak but they were out of it. It was nice experience for our anniversary.
Service is impeccable every time we visit! The food is never a disappointment and they always have the freshest seafood around.
The food and service was good, the price was a little high based on the quality of the food. The place was very busy and the service was good.
my husband and i have been going to blupointe for at least 4 or 5 years told by a friend .
the food is always great and we always request Tim as our server he always very good to us .
i just wish they would put back on menu spinach and artichoke dip appt. we always had that and it is missed by us.
One of our go restaurants. It is very consistent. Great wait staff and pleasant atmosphere
We were there for our anniversary. From the minute that we arrived We were treated like royalty. The food was outstanding.
