We went to dinner at Blue Coyote for my birthday. The patio is beautiful, the food was so flavorful, and the service was great! We will be back more often!

Blue Coyote did not disappoint. The service, ambiance and quality of food all lived up to the previous great reviews. The margaritas are delicious. I had the enchiladas verdes and my husband had the BBQ ribs. We were both satisfied and the entire dining experience met a high bar. We will definitely return in the future; Blue Coyote is now one of our Palm Springs favorites.

we had reservations for 6:30 but hostess advised us that no tables were available and we were early {about 8 minutes} She also told us that there were no guarantees with reservations!!

She pointed to a chair in the hallway and I could sit there. We asked if we could wait in the bar but she said it was also busy. We walked in to the bar and found a space by the counter and a staff managed to find to chairs, very helpful.

We had drinks and snacks and waited for any table to become available and noticed several table empty in the bar area. I walked up to the hostess and asked if the bar had the same menu as restaurant and yes, so I asked if we could be seated at the table by the wall, Oh you want that table was her response!! several other tales were also empty and obviously the hostess did not do her job.

Food and service at table very good but hostess needs to be replaced.

I have been coming here for years every spring. The menu is distinguishable from many other Mexican places because of the more unusual selections, such as my favorite, the Pollo Cilantro - chicken rolled up with poblano peppers and cilantro with a spicy cream sauce. My only disappointment this year was that it was on the dry side - perhaps left under a heat lamp too long. Great margaritas and standards, as well as outdoor seating.

Our food and drinks were great. Perfect evening for sitting outside and enjoying a nice dinner. Only complaint was our server was not very friendly or efficient.

It was great!! The waiter could have smiled a little bit more but he was fast and efficient so I guess you can’t have it all...The hostess and support staff were all excellent. The food was very good.

The Blue Coyote is one of our favorite spots in PS. The outdoor dining is magical, the food and service are wonderful, and the prices are quite reasonable. We are always eager to recommend this lovely establishment!

I was nervous about this restaurant because it was so easy to get a reservation. Turns out, the restaurant was just really big with a lot of tables. It is right in the heart of downtown, lots of outdoor seating. Cute white lights in the trees. Excellent service and some of the best, authentic Mexican food I’ve had....and I eat a lot of Mexican food! It is great for a date or a large group. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

Disappointing. Service has really deteriorated. Brought the wrong entree/ order to the table. Accommodated by removing from the bill. No longer a go-to place when in Palm Springs.

We had a large group of 15 and more than half children. They gave us a wonderful private room with French doors opening to the back patio. The service was perfect. The food was fabulous. We all enjoyed our meals. The guacamole is delicious - chunky and fresh.

Four of us came for dinner and after a table change, were seated on the patio. Our waiter Don was very informative and friendly. We had a pitcher of the high test margaritas. Wow!!!! Tasty and strong. Definitely a lot of tequila in it, but we weren’t driving:) All of our entrees were hot, tasty and were generous portions. Definitely my favourite Mexican cuisine on the strip.

It was the only time to sit and wait a half hour until we could place a drink order.
We asked for front patio and got a back room that was not outside on a lovely 80 degree night and a group in the room were so noisy
We could not hear our own conversations.
Next time if we can not get front patio I will always say “outside only”.

Mediocre would be generous for food and drink (frozen Margarita). Can’t understand a 4 star rating. Will never again rely upon your stars. Service was fine

The ambience was great and servers were nice. However, my dinner was not even edible. I had the strip steak and vegetables. The strip steak was so tough that it was impossible to chew. The vegetables were tasteless and overcooked. I had to send it back. They were very accommodating about taking it off the menu. My daughter had the pulled pork sandwich, which she said was too spicy to eat.

Very good standard Mexican fare with comfortable outdoor seating along the main avenue of Palm Springs. The chicken enchiladas were stuffed with shredded chicken, topped with a spicy Santa Fe sauce. The iced tea was very bland. As with just about any restaurant on this strip, reservations are highly recommended during good weather and any time of the day.

We come to Palm Springs every two years and make it a point to eat at Blue Coyote at least once. Our server handled drink and food orders for the eight of us with ease - everyone got exactly what they ordered, he didn't hover but he was there, he was friendly but professional and I wish we knew his name. He is someone Blue Coyote should hang onto.

I hate to say this because we used to love this place but it has gone way downhill since the last time we were there two+ years ago. They have severely reduced their menu offerings. Used to have much more variety. Now, it's just typical Mexican. Used to have superb margaritas in giant glasses. Now they serve mediocre ones in juice glasses. Sad.

Great seat on the patio for our party of six. Margaritas were tasty and cold, all the entrees were appetizing and hot. Definitely made for a better evening because of our wonderful and attentive waiter. I think it’s the best Mexican restaurant on the strip. Can’t wait to return!

Unlimited chips and salsa were very good. The service was excellent. The margaritas are powerful and expensive ($46 for a pitcher). The food was very good. It got a bit noisy, but wasn't unbearable. A fun place to go for dinner, but a bit expensive for Mexican food.

We have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. The Pollo Cilantro has always been one of the best meals at this establishment. Last evening, they, for some reason replaced the Cilantro with either kale or spinach...I could tell which; but in any case it was marginal at best. No excuse for not telling the customer. We complained and the server said he would tell the chef...that was it. We paid, more than likely will not return.

This is my 3rd trip to The Blue Coyote. I previously ordered the same item. It was delicious. I also tasted my daughter and husbands dishes. They were excellent. The service is always excellent, and is a fun place to go.
This last time I went, I decided to order my favorite Mexican dish. Chili Rellenos. I was surprised to see I was given a choice between fluffy or crispy. Of course "fluffy." I am kind of a snob when it comes to this dish, and when it arrives looking like an omelet, I am usually disappointed.
The plate arrived, there were not one, but 2 chili rellenos. More than I could eat!
I thought the dish tasted okay. A little greasy, and tasted just okay. I was a little disappointed, as everything else I have had, I have loved.
I will continue visiting this great restaurant, and will choose something else to eat

We've dined at Blue Coyote several times but were disappointed this time. Our margaritas were served in a beer mug. We asked our server who was unable to explain. We had to flag him down to order a second beverage.

Had a reservation (should have specified patio seating). Initially, they showed us to a dismal back room next to a VERY noise party. We requested a move, which they accommodated, in the bar area, but better than the first. Waited about 45-50 minutes for our entrees to come--they apologized that they had a very large party in house. Understandable, but not OUR fault. When food came, it was very good. Waiter did his best

We often dine at the Blue Coyote & love their extensive menu of Mexican & Southwest favorites. The food is well prepared & portions are huge. I recently tried two new items which I'd like to recommend to you: the Jalapeno poppers (three large peppers fried in puffed pastry) stuffed with bacon & the beef brisket served on a cheddar & jalapeno roll.
