I came for the specials tonight. I had beets with goat cheese and balsamic glaze, schnitzel with brown and mushroom sauces, mashed red potatoes and veg, both dishes delicious. Dessert was the best crème brûlée I’ve ever had. The custard had flecks of vanilla, and instead of serving it in a deep, small ramekin, it was served in a wide shallow one, maximizing the surface for the crackly topping. This ended up being a bit pricey, but as I had starter, main, wine and dessert that’s expected. I did take half the main course home, so I get to enjoy it again.

Really enjoyed the food and the service. The place is not quiet. But at least it's people visiting and not kids or somebody being crazy. Several gluten-free options. We arrived early and that seemed to confuse them. We frequently like to get there and have a glass of wine at the bar but I think the bar was reserved seating maybe? Other than that, a very pleasant experience.

Charming decor and thoughtful arrangement of tables. attentive service, maybe a bit too quick to take our dishes that we were still nibbling on. The selection of entrees and appetizers was good and the food was fresh and tasty. The special tuna was served with the standard sides of potato and veg, but could have benefited from a lighter and more appropriate side, like a rice dish. Excellent wine list and we appreciated that they offered several choices by glass or half or full bottle, which gave us great flexibility. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner and would like to visit again soon.

It was our first time and it was fantastic! Service was great, ambiance was great and food was outstanding! The buratta was soooo good! We had the frutti de mare which my wife loved and I had the chicken mole. The chicken just melted in my mouth (skin and all). We loved it and cannot wait to go back.

It’s kind of like knowing about a secret spot. Always a lovely drive over to Placitas… And they are always welcoming when you get there. Plenty of choices on the wine list & cocktails. The menu is small, but always interesting. Then there are specials…. Which adds to the possibilities. Everyone’s entree looked really good. I had Steak Frites which is not an exotic dish, But the steak was seasoned very well and tasted great. Ask about their ice cream flavors for the 3 scoop ice cream dessert… and maybe split that with someone- very good, but really rich. And I love walking out thru the patio courtyard with all of the tree lights. It is so pretty… One of these times, I going to time it right, and it won’t be windy, or cold, and the perfect spot to watch the sun set.

It was crowded on a Saturday night but servers were pleasant and efficient. We had paella and it was truly wonderful.

Blade's Bistro is a very nice restaurant, probably a best-kept secret. The menu has options for everyone, and the pricing is very reasonable. The most expensive entrée is just under $30. The staff is very friendly and relatable. The food is excellent and there are items on the menu that you can't just get anywhere. It's a really nice treat for a date night and worth the drive from Albuquerque to Placitas. We'll definately be going back on a regular basis.
