Cocktail was excellent. The heirloom carrots appetizer was superb. I ordered the rotisserie chicken as my main course, along with a side of roasted broccoli - everything was beautifully presented. The broccoli was delicious, as were the accompaniements on the chicken entree plate - especially the mushroom bread pudding. Unfortunately, the chicken itself was a real disappointment - pretty salty (was it brined?), and other than that, not very flavorful. In addition, the skin was still soft, fatty and fleshy - not at all like the crispy skins you expect with rotisserie chicken. I will certainly try the restaurant again; I will certainly not order the chicken again.
Probably my favorite place in Boulder these days
Absolutely fantastic food. We sat at the bar and got to watch the chefs, we will do that again!
Another wonderful dinner at Blackbelly. The sound quality is so much better since the remodel - now my husband will be willing to visit more often. Service and care by the team was first class. We sat at the kitchen counter and the chefs were super friendly. Thank you!!!
As always a great selection of meats and interesting sides. We had a celery appetizer that sounded like a stretch but was amazing. I always feel good about experimenting a little here know the main dish will be excellent. Our dessert from the new pastry chef was also a home run. Will be back
I had dinner with two wonderful friends. We had several small plates and dinners and even a couple desserts. Everything and I mean everything was perfect! See the pics! Thanks Blackbelly for being simply the best!
Great service and creative menu that changes frequently.
Great staff, great food. Always consistently superior.
The excellent food and service made our anniversary very special. We will definitely return for future special occasions.
New Year's Eve dinner was fabulous! Each and every course was outstanding-flavorful, thoughtful and beautifully presented. We're big Blackbelly fans and were so happy to be able to ring in the New Year at our favorite restaurant in Boulder!
INSANELY good food on New Year's Eve. Love this place!
Went for New Year’s Eve Dinner; amazing food and service. Restaurant is a bit on the noisy side, they would benefit from some sound dampening panels on the ceiling since it’s a concrete floor and industrial ceiling. Despite this, I still highly recommend.
Had a ball! What a night. 5 amazing courses and a delicious wine paring to go with. All was beautifully presented and throughly delicious! This was the second time I’ve been to a 5 course price fix meal and I really hope they will keep doing them. It’s so nice to just sit back and not have to make and decisions! I love it!
Absolutely delicious, as usual! Wine list needs a little work, but there's always something reasonable. This restaurant has the best food in Boulder!
Our party of 4 had the 35 ounce ribeye for $163 It was excellent. Service was great. Side of broccoli a little over “charred “. Not a place for a quiet romantic dinner...loud.
Have been there at least 5 times and will probably return when in boulder again.
Absolutely one of my top 5 restaurants. Quality of meat, the service, interaction with the kitchen was amazing!!!
Thank you for accommodating us on our anniversary. the staff was very cordial and very nice to us.
Excellent food and top notch service! We could hear each other and visit. There was a table available rather than the high top which was terrific for an older pair.
Not ideal for a large group. Service was very slow with no updates from the staff who seemed stressed and put out. Half of the food came out barely warm to accommodate a large meat portion for the other half of our group. We were hoping for a better experience.
Amazing as always!
Another excellent meal at Blackbelly. Server was rough.
Def a new favorite when we are in town. Everything recommended to us by our waitress was spot on,, just simply amazing. This will be our go to place when we have friends in town to visit.
We always dine at Blackbelly when we are in Boulder to see our daughter. Love that all the meats are from local farms. They always have interesting menu items. Ask about what the cuts are for the evening and choose early, that is their only downside, they can run out of items. Otherwise, it is one of our favorite restaurants.
The food was okay. I wasn’t all that impressed, given the price. We were crammed into a small area with six people so whenever anyone had to get up to go the bathroom, everyone in that row had to stand up. It was also very loud and hard to have a conversation with even the person sitting next to you. I would not go back.
The food was very good and the sparkling rosé by the glass was absolutely delightful.Unfortunately it was loud and we could not enjoy conversation and the waitress seemed very rushed. I don't know if this makes a difference but we were sat in the back area across from the bar.
Absolutely great experience at Blackbelly! Our waitress was very knowledgeable on all the meat selection from the market. And every recommendation did not disappoint!
We always enjoy our visits, but the goat and mussels were maybe the two best dishes we have experienced in a long time. Thank you Blackbelly for another fantastic night at the chefs counter.
We had a great early dinner. 5pm reservation got us a good table. We ordered five different dishes and shared. Superb food. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. Steak was great, hamburgers were among the best. Scallops also great. Highly recommend
Lovely dinner! We shared some happy hour treats, a small plate, a large steak, a couple sides, and dessert. Everything was delicious. The standout was the kielbasa. Cocktails were on point, too.
Only thing that wasn't perfect was the brussel sprouts, which had too much vinegar for our tastes.
Awesome goat dish! Everything was delicious. The one criticism would be the dessert. I think it was a chocolate ganache of some kind, but it came out like a chocolate hotdog straight from the freezer. Not very good, not a big deal, but it sticks out in your mind because it was so far from the quality of everything else. Such an awesome restaurant.
Love this place! The service is always amazing, but not pretensious. Always come here for a special night out.
Food was delicious and service was good. The setting was casual and does feel a bit crowded, especially when it got full. Price is astronomically high, so I’d prefer a more comfortable setting at that price range.
We chose a quiet evening, which is a much better dining experience since we could hear each other talk. Some of the best scallops we've ever had and excellent service made for a most enjoyable evening.
The whole experience was awesome.
Just wow. Creative, delicious entrees (we had pork and lamb...) served perfectly with awesome servers.
As always happy hour was a delight. One day we will make it there for the regular menu! Thank you for great service.
We ordered multiple dishes, everything was outstanding and delicious. Our server Danny made it a memorable evening. We will be back, many times.
The best burgers in boulder.
The grilled broccoli is outstanding as a side!!
We had an excellent dinner! The charcuterie was perfect and our service was flawless. Our server Tony was very knowledgeable and attentive.
Food is amazing!
