Black Diamond Bistro
After a long day we went here for dinner. It was easy and yummy. Ate the French onion soup and chicken it was very good. Relaxed cozy atmosphere.
This is one of our favorites in Beaver Creek. Food is consistently good, friendly service and it’s expensive but everything here is expensive and their food is actually good! Lamb Shank and Trout are our favs!
The portions were small and the description of the food did not match what was delivered. Do not order the vegetable risotto. I would recommend the Caesar salad.
Trout special was extremely small portion and bland. Onion soup appetizer....cheese on top seemed microwaved, crouton wasn’t toasted either. Just doesn’t seem like a professional kitchen, especially at these prices.
This restaurant looks very "tired". Badly needs an update to décor. The service was average at best, not the quality one expects from a high priced restaurant. The waiter did not seem well versed on the menu items and could not really give a good description of what to expect. He was also not well versed on serving etiquette. 2 of us ordered lamb chops which were very rare and had to be sent back resulting in one of us eating after everyone else had almost finished. The lobster pot pie was very disappointing have mostly sauce and little lobster in it leaving the guest hungry afterwards. The lamb chops when cooked correctly were tasty.
With all the exceptional restaurants in the area this is not one anyone in our party will revisit.
Always a consistently wonderful experience. Lamb...both the rack special and the standard shank were exceptional. The sides were creative and delicious.
Excelente atención y calidad de comida
I dined with my family at Black Diamond two nights ago for dinner. The food was delicious -- I had the halibut and it was cooked perfectly, my husband had the ribeye which was incredibly flavorful. The kids menu had a good selection (we have an 8 and 12 year old) and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. And the cocktails were delicious too! The only thing that I would improve upon was the overall ambiance -- it felt like something was missing here. But I'll always choose food quality/taste and service over ambiance so I would definitely recommend Black Diamond Bistro and will return here in the future.
The Charter where the Black Diamond Bistro is located, is currently undergoing updates to the entry so finding your way is challenging but well worth the effort. Barbra took great care of us. Our party enjoyed the chicken, generous enough to share and the halibut. The Caesar salad and tomato caprese were perfection. The views are a real treat and dining at this hidden gem is always delightful.
The patio dinning is beautiful with flower boxes and hummingbirds. The staff is excellent and so welcoming and friendly. We so enjoyed our server and had the opportunity to visit with the manager about a small issue with our wine selection and it was all taken care of to our satisfaction. I do have to say that if you are accustomed to eating at high end steakhouses then I would not recommend the steak options on the menu. I will certainly not keep this from returning, as there are plenty of other options that I’m sure are delicious.
We had dinner here before a show at the Villar Center. Prompt and attentive service, and the food was delicious! Only thing that detracted from an otherwise fantastic experience - and not necessarily the fault of the restaurant- was the presence of several loud, whiny small children in the BAR.
I would recommend it, and they do have free valet parking that makes getting in and out a breeze if you are not staying in the village. Otherwise, it is an easy and pleasant walk to a delicious dinner!
We ate here two nights in a row. The service was great, the food good, the view pretty. Relaxed environment. Great go to in Beaver Creek
Good food. Nice service. Very slow kitchen but we weren't in a hurry. Room can be very noisy if other diners aren't using their inside voices.
Bradley was fantastic in every way...Ya’ better figure out how to keep him happy!!!!
Overpriced for what it is. Food was ok. But priced like it was comparable to other much better restaurants.
Very disappointed. The hostess is in the wrong line of business, be it over the phone or in person.
Our waiter was ok but not stellar. The food was decent but not on par with other restaurants in BC.
The wine list is very nice and the sommelier knows his job and his list. That was the highlight of the evening.
I'm an employee in this restaurant and when I came in for the first time they overcooked all 3 of the steaks that were ordered by the table. We ordered 1 MedRare and 2 medium, we received 2 MedWell and 1 well done. This is a consistent issue in the restaurant as 6/10 steaks are cooked wrong.
Much better food than I was expecting for a ski resort restaurant. Only downside was the service was stretched so the few waiters were desperately trying to keep up, forgetting things etc.
The food and service were excellent!
Try the brownie sundae!
This was our second visit to Black Diamond Bistro. Our visit a year ago on Spring Break was a wonderful experience and we were looking forward to this year, however this year’s visit was considerably less than subpar. Where to begin.... First, The Hostess was extremely rude and inattentive and their were dirty dishes and food all over the table in the waiting area by the fireplace. Second, service was extremely slow. Finally, the “manager “ was considerably rude and spoke to several adults like they were children. It was extremely unprofessional quite embarrassing to witness. Located in a Spring Break Resort Destination, one would expect a far superior experience.
Delicious food and good service
Food was absolutely wonderful - the scallops with leek purée ... and the blood orange ice cream especially! Best meal I can remember ever being served :)
Jeremy was a great waiter too and the place is nice and airy, with good ambience and ample space for each table, good acoustics.
Don’t change a thing!
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely meal. The half-chicken was delicious! I really liked the team approach that the wait staff uses. Our server Alex gave us recommendations and answered all our questions and was very friendly. He did a great job!
Awesome! Excellent service! Highly recommended! Thanks a lot!!!
Great food and service. I would return for casual dining or more formal evenings.
Absolutely AMAZING food and service. Rib lollipop, caesar, butternut squash tortellini, and trout are our favorites. Service by Bradly is always exceptional! We have been in Beaver Creek for 30 years but this is the first season we have discovered what a gem this is!
Our party of 5 adults were seated in a room with 3 large groups including many children. The noise level was the worst we have ever experienced in a restaurant. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Pizza and burgers were good but the environment so awful I can't recommend.
Nice ambience and excellent food. A real winner!!!
Good food at decent prices. Will come back next year.
While in Colorado we actually ate at this restaurant twice. The first time there were 8 of us, the second night we went there were 25 of us. The porkchop was delicious in many of the sides were unique.
We asked for a move on our table for a busy weekend to a place were my son could watch a basketball game. They accommodated our table of 5 for this request on very short notice!!!!
Excellent service. Waiter made great recommendations regarding entrees, wine and desserts. Highly recommended it.
Very accommodating staff. Not just our server but two or three others helped. Was having dinner with two grandkids and they went out of the way to make us feel welcome. The food was wonderful.
Double pork chop was excellent; restaurant ambiance should be quiet for a 7pm dinner reservation however it was unpleasant due to a screeching child (tolerated for over an hour). So food and service was very good; a unique situation made for a less than enjoyable evening. We would give it another try with hopefully better experience minus the disruptive behavior.
Had dinner there one night. A family with a 1 year old baby was there and the kid was shrieking all during dinner and kicking the table. The parents did nothing. The wait staff should have gotten a manager to speak to them. We were not the only upset customers, another table of guys made a comment to the parents that the kid should be in bed (it was 8:30). My friend turned around to them and said they should try to quiet the kid. Wow that was the wrong thing to say, the Mom got very defensive. I don't think it is the responsibility of the customers to go at it, the restaurant manager should have politely asked them to quiet the child or remove her. It seems that we have to teach the general public manners.
Otherwise the food was good, but that screaming child made it an unpleasant evening.
Thanks for listening
Everyone was very pleasant here but it did not leave the most memorable mark. The wine list was limited and could’ve been of better selection. Gluten free options were a plus. The trout was pretty good.
We dined at this restaurant 4 nights in a row and enjoyed a different entree each night.
Great family friendly restaurant
Beautiful atmosphere & we all Enjoyed our Food @ Black Diamond Bistro. I would love to go back next time we are in Beaver Creek!
Seated promptly. Waitress was wonderful. Drinks were poor quality. Waitress made the next round herself which were perfect. Food took a very long time to arrive and was average at best. We have been coming to BC for years and decided to try something new. We were very disappointed. We paid a lot for average food/experience.
