Black Angus did a wonderful job with their outdoor seating. All of the servers and wait staff wore masks and gloves. The food is always consistently good!
Took a while to get service. The noise level from the driveway next to us was loud. The prime rib was dry. I realize it’s limited because the only choice is outside but other restaurants due such a great job of providing a nice ambiance. We won’t be returning.
Back in the 80's, we would go to Black Angus for special family occasions. It was always comfortable dining and good food.
About 10 years ago, we found it had gone downhill and pretty much stopped dining there. Then, Covid-19 hit and we have found Black Angus to be one of our favorites. We feel safe, the food is excellent and the service terrific.

Yes I understand its COVID season But When I went in December I received gift cards. I tried to redeem them but since they were expired. The restaurant would not except them. I would have used them early but I had COVID for a month. The server did not care.
Took 30 mins to get drinks after placing order. Took same longer to get appetizers. In the end wife and I decided to ask for check. Didn’t get our check for another 30 mins and then after 15 mins we deciding to walk to front to pay instead of waiting for server.
Went to Black Angus on Saturday February 20th and the one thing that made our experience great was our server Jenny. Very attentive, good sense of humor and never let a glass go dry. Food was usual Black Angus but when you get a great server, it just enhances the whole experience.
I have never had to say anything negative about black Angus but these last 2 times was not the best we took out our order for Valentine's and we were missing some of the items. then for this review we go have dinner with my friend and she ordered the ribeye with some sauteed mushrooms was not the best She didn't even finish her food she didn't want to complain we never like to complain and I ordered a New York steak medium. And the added some type of sauce on but wow it was super salty. But we love black A. It was just a disappointment.
This restaurant has ideal outside seating under the eaves of the restaurant. It was actually very nice sitting outside for dinner. The food is always delicious and the drinks were very good!
Where do I start...so we didn’t get seated until 40 mins after our reservation time. This was on Valentine’s Day so I completely understand that they were busy so I gave it a pass. First thing that got me angry was they waited until we were seated to inform me that they ran out of filets...a steakhouse , ran out of filets...I wouldn’t of been as angry if I was told when I checked in instead of 40 mins after. I know the waiter could tell I was angry and instead of apologizing or trying to ease the situation she says “well we’re busy so yeah you can get something else”. I got a NY steak instead with lobster and a couple sides. Lobster was good but the steak was pretty disappointing. Salad sucked , fries & artichoke dip was good. Cheesecake was the worst I’ve ever had. Waiter only checked on us once. Being busy is one thing , but giving bad service is no excuse. Wouldn’t recommend.
Not there fault but so cold outside. Made tour food get cold fast. Love you though and glad my friends are back to work.
Considering it was Valentine’s Day and had reservations, the time to be seated was over 45 minutes.
Food was great! The aevice was excellent and timely.

My family has been dining at Black Angus in Santa Ana for many years. Our favorite restaurant,for the value and we have dined at various steak restaurants.
I already wrote a contact request concerning the up charging when substituting a garden salad for fries. We have been loyal Black Angus supporters but in this day and age, management should not be telling customers that lettuce is more expensive then French Fries and charging $3.99 to sub. Really, I ended paying over $20 for an okay hamburger and salad.
Our waitress was friendly and very helpful, very energetic!! The food was fantastic and the ribs and prime rib were cooked beautifully and perfectly seasoned!!
The food was excellent. The outdoor seating was nice and quiet and the tent didn't have a cover so it wasn't enclosed. They had heaters all around which made it easy to dine with aToddler.
Limited to outdoors. There were heaters. Our waiter was very pleasant and efficient. Our garden salads were too 'leafy'. We like the crunchy lettuce. Husband's New York steak had a lot of gristle. My grilled shrimp was very good.
Considering everything that is going on in the world today, it was good. Glad Black Angus and other restaurants can be open again for "outside dining".

Food was excellent as always, but service this night was horrible. Rarely saw our waitress, ordered some things “to go” and they came out as if we were going to eat there. Had to hunt her down to try to get our bill. Was there almost two hours. Ambiance was so-so, tent set out in the parking lot, but that’s forgivable considering it’s what they had to do to stay open. Will probably be back, but won’t be very frequently because the prices are too high now.
Great tasting food. Great service.

It's a disrespect that a restaurant keeps accepting reservations even if it's closed. We booked for a Saturday Night and, when we got there, the restaurant was a Ghost Town.

Experience was horrible, me and my wife was celebrating our anniversary. I booked days in advanced for Dinner. When we showed up it was closed. Open table and Black Angus have horrible communication skills. Our plans went down the drain. There should be someone available or notice that something was wrong on both ends. Why would Black Angus have multiple hour selections and outdoor available seating and yet was closed. Very upset. Plan to never use Opentable and Eat at Black Angus
This place is so far the best place to dine during these times. It was cozy enough and the waitress kept coming and always asking if we were ok, which to me was great since we were outside at the side of the restaurant where it will be hard to flag the server for anything as we are not in view from the front. Highly recommend this place just to get away and have a great meal or even a drink or two.
What a wonderful Thanksgiving! Our server Perry was excellent, very attentive, and the food could not have been better. We had the Turkey dinner, turkey was very flavorful and moist, and plenty of sides, all good. with pie for a reasonable price. We are still eating the left overs! They went out of their way to make the outdoor dining comfortable, with heat lamps and putting us so we were away from street noise. Would for sure return on Thanksgiving again, an easy and comfortable way to spend the day.
Thanksgiving dinner was fabulous. The restaurant was very organized with the Covid virus going on. Eating outside was nice, but weataher a bit windy, not their fault. Good portions of stuffing and turkey and everything else that goes with it.
It is what one would expect for the price point. Based upon the menu, and what I ordered the higher priced items I felt were not worth it. I would stick to the bargain items next time.
Our server was Morgan. She was awesome. She was on top of our food, drinks and the desert. Even though we had to sit outside (thanks gov) there was never a time when we had to wait for anything.

We ate in the Parking Lot (COVID), which was clearly not the Server's problem. We made the most of the experience, but the temperature and road noise detracted a little from the full romantic experience. Food was excellent and Server was attentive.
Black Angus is doing their part in welcoming diners - even if it means eating outside! We actually enjoy the quiet of sitting under the eaves in a secluded area outside the restaurant. Had an excellent Feast for Two and our waitress was always right there & accommodating as usual!
