We came to this restaurant with high expectations and were not disappointed. The food was really good, the staff was very friendly and we got all the time in the world to make pur choices
Great service, food and vibe.
We had two burgers, split the chips with hummus and guac on the small plate menu for an appetizer, and for drinks a beer and two cocktails. It was $100.00 with tip. The service was a little bit slow but I sensed they may have been short handed somewhere. Not an issue as we were in no rush and I am sympathetic and acknowledge those things happen. We had an earlier reservation so the place felt a bit empty. It started to pick up as we were leaving. The burgers were excellent and the cocktails very good. The atmosphere was nice, but felt a bit odd to be there so early. Yes, it was pricey for two burgers and some chips, but so good that we’ll definitely be back. It was a nice evening.
Okay atmosphere. Food okay, but nothing special. Hard to judge service since we were the only people on the restaurant side.
Great food with healthy options. Restaurant Manager very helpful and informative.
Great ambiance and the food is really great! The wine was served at the right temperature.
Very limited menu and the food was sub par. Service was very slow even though we were one of maybe 4 tables in the entire restaurant. The decor was super cute but I will not be returning.
Our experience at Bizou Brasserie was fantastic! Our server, Niko, was very polite and helpful, and the food was delicious!
Food was fantastic! Management was amazing! Wait staff was ok. Noise level when the live performer was playing made it hard to hear each other across the table. When he took his breaks we could talk normally. Over all great experience. Totally recommend for a date night!
We chose this restaurant for our Valentine's day dinner because it was close to Amalie Arena where we would be enjoying a concert later that evening. They have very reasonable valet parking and the restaurant has a very nice upscale atmosphere.
We were surprised to find that they did not have their regular menu. Instead they had a limited Valentine's day menu. We were disappointed because we were already looking forward to some choices from their regular menu that we had viewed online. The Valentine's day menu was also quite expensive ($50 fish is an example). Dinner for two with no drinks was $180.00. Also, the tip is built in to the bill.
The appetizers were very good. The sales was cute in presentation, but short on flavor. My fish was excellent, but my wife's Cornish Hen was a bit dry. Overall we had a good experience, but not at the price they charged. It seemed like the Valentine's day menu was just a tactic to price gouge.
We might still consider going back when they have their regular menu.
The Berry Brûlée Cheesecake was outstanding!!! Although the Crusted Brie had a cool center, it was very tasty overall. The fish was very good.
Not a fan. The decor is tacky. The food was average. The bread was stale. Our server was inattentive. Average at best
Prompt, friendly and professional service esp since it was Valentine's day. Waiter was outstanding.
I took my wife out for an early Valentine's day dinner. First time here. Ambiance was great, food was very good, however all of that was over shadowed by poor service.
The place was not crowded so I see no reason why we had to wait on things, wait to have empty plates removed, etc....
Again the atmosphere was great, food very good. This is supposed to be a high-class restaurant but it did not live up to our expectations.
First time and last time to this restaurant, as soon as we walked into to be seat, no hostess in sight. A waiter had to seat us, the place smelled of dirty rag or filthy carpet odor. The bar was full of overly loud and obnoxious guys making random outbursts/laughs that clearly were making the (few) dine in guests uncomfortable. Management needs to grow a spine and tell tipsy noise makers to settle down or leave. Service was blah, waiter seemed ready go home, food was nothing special. Overall poor experience, won't be back.
Attended for dinner before the Billy Joel concert. We were seated promptly, restaurant wasn't very crowded but our server seemed put-out that we were in his section although the maître-de was placing most customers in his section. My wife order the crusted mahi and it was excellent, I order the filet and it was very good. After we received our food the server did not stop by to check out how our food was and was basically absent during our meal although he was attending other tables, had to flag down another waiter to get refills on our water and another cocktail.
Overall it was a good experience, the food wasn’t outstanding but it was ok. Service was a little too casual and minimal.
Great place we are on vacation in Tampa area google it sounded good the only downside is parking was 11 and the area is full of what appears to be homeless a little worrisome for family’s
The drink we’re really good, I got the Naughty or nice (only seasonal but now discontinued sadly), Key lime martini was awesome and berry mojito was also really good. Apps stuffed salmon bites weren’t actually stuffed but sooo tasty, wish the portions were more because it only comes with 4. The Dip duo was good as well. The glaze on the prime rib was to dieeee for! Original waiter wasn’t anything exceptional but the guys who brought out our food were funny and nice, much made our service better since our server was bland. It’s upper echelon low key so it’s more expensive and I expected the portions to be no too generous but I surprisingly had a leftovers. Highly recommend and would come back.
Excellent wait service too! Parking was great. Located in a Historically Downtown area of Tampa.
Loved the decor and the staff. Didn't feel rushed and enjoyed an amazing meal.
My wife and I each had nut crusted mahi-mahi, and the fish was over-cooked. My son-in-law had a hamburger and only ate half of it. Our server was a bit slow bringing drinks. The restaurant wasn’t busy, but it took 15 minutes to get us drinks. The ambiance was great!
We had a wonderful dinner at Bizou for my birthday. It was amazing. Our waiter was outstanding. I don’t understand why this place isn’t packed every night.
It was the best Thanksgiving dinner we ever had. Great service and friendly staff. We cant wait to return.
Great Hidden Restaurant in Down Town Tampa. If you want something new, quiet, and spectacular Service, I would recommend Bizou Brasserie.
Ate there on Thanksgiving day. My first choice Oxford exchange was not open. The building with the historic nature was quite neat. The food was average
The food was excellent!!! Ambiance was great, quiet enough to carry on conversations, but since it was not crowded this may not be a fair evaluation of the noise level. Drinks are over priced and that's a shame since everything else was very good. Hold on to your wallet.
Great food and service, will be back!
Such a nice ambiance. Service was excellent and friendly. I'll definitely be back!
This is my 2nd time eating here and plan on going back again. The restaurant is in an old converted US Govt building and just beautiful. The food is delicious, service excellent, and the prices are not that bad.
Great place .. tons of
Options for vegetarians, vegans .
Our waiter was great. The atmosphere was classy and the food was excellent.
Will eat there again. Chef did a great job in food presentation. Staff was very professional
Holly our server was attentive and quick. Cocktails and the food were good. I was not happy with valet at all - doubt they’re employees, probably an outside company. If I ever go back I will self park.
We had a perfect dining experience here. The food was delicious! We were staying at the Le Meridian Hotel, so this was very convenient (2nd floor of hotel). Lovely.
It’s such a great space and great location but I really wanted the good to be better. Very hotel food. The corn fritters were not as described in the online menu. They didn’t taste fresh made more like frozen.
The cocktail was so so. And the waiter was not like happy that we were there!
So maybe not dining here again
Solid hotel restaurant choice if you’re staying at Le Meridien
the food was very good . I had the salmon on the plank, moist , nicely done. The live music was fun . Service was excellent
One common theme with hotel restaurants is they are always empty. And possibly because of this the staff is usually pretty indifferent and seem to just go through the motions.
We waited 2-3 minutes before any soul was visible. Finally the bar tender walked around to greet us and took us to the table.
You can tell this is a high end place but the designer kind of halfassed it. The pictures on the wall are arranged irritatingly all over the place, there are no chandeliers and the lighting coming from the recessed cans 30’ high is far too bright.
The photos online of this restaurant are far better than it looks in person.
The food was absolutely amazing and due to that alone I’d expect more people to be here. Then again the higher pricing is probably offsetting that, and the fact that we were here on a Wednesday night.
I said that we were there for a birthday and zero effort was made by the staff to acknowledge this. No birthday song, no free dessert like most places do. Not even a little candy on the table with a card that said Happy Birthday! That was quite disappointing.
Again the food was really good but there wasn’t enough other positives to recommend this place and I won’t be going back any time soon.
