   A lovely dinner with friends. Sunny, our server, was great and the food was tasty. Billy’s is consistently good and the pomegranate martini is always a win!

   So disappointed in the management here tonight. Host sat us next to 2 very loud parties when other tables open in front where not noisy but mgr stated those were for reservations, when we said we were also a reservation he gave lame apology. We could not even hear our own group speak it was so loud. When left there were still tables open in front, so that made us even more irritated. For the amount we spent, just not worth the money. The mgr should have at least offered a dessert for the inconvenience and horrible atmosphere. Will never go back nor recommend my colleagues to dine here when they visit our office location here. Our server was very good as he would get 5 stars, but everything else was so awful due to noise level and lack of mgr cust service. Food was ok, but not worth the price.

   We really enjoyed this restaurant. There were lots of large parties and it was very loud, but the food was delicious and the service, from Fredy, was extraordinary. We had the avocado dip appetizer, which is very limey. Don’t think guacamole. It was bright, light, and creamy with a good selection of dippers. The glazed pork chop was perfect. It was accompanied by mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. It was elevated comfort food. The grilled salmon salad combined a perfectly grilled salmon filet, topping a salad that had avocado, spinach, romaine and grape tomatoes. Eating light gave me a chance to split a dessert. We had the brownie and ice cream. Yum!

   We had a mixture of ages and tastes and everyone was happy with everything. There was an on-the-fly addition of 2 people to our party of 6 for a total of 8 and they handled it with zero issues. Drinks, starters, meals, and desserts came out with perfect timing - we had just enough time to visit with each other, but not enough that we ran out of things to talk about and tapping our toes waiting for food or drink. Everyone at the table enjoyed the food - even the Wedge Salad was something to talk about.

    The creme brulee was more like pudding. Was not that great. But everything else was wonderful. It was a late birthday dinner for me. My birthday was on May 11 and my husband has been asking and asking to go to Billy's so I said how about for my birthday.

    We waited for an hour and 20 minutes for the food. Nobody checked on us to let us know what was going on. We told the manager what happened and his answer was “understood “. No apologies,nothing else. We got up and left and went to a different restaurant. We will not be returning to Billy’s.

    Our reservation was 7:45 and we did not leave the restaurant until 9:45. Food took forever and a manager never came to the table to ask how our experience was. Had changed a side to carrots and was informed they had ran out of that side. Waiter offered to change side to salad and was charged $17 for 2 salads. Very unhappy with our experience.

    My wife and I celebrated our anniversary dinner there and we’re very pleased. Waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. Drinks were tasty and food was prepared deliciously. The manager even stopped by our table to check on the satisfaction of our visit. We will be back.

    Although the food was good, our server, David L. Was horrendous. Extremely rude and dismissive. Someone in our party has severe food allergies and when she asked David about allergens in a couple of dishes, his response was “I don’t know” and he had to be told to check with the kitchen. On multiple occasions he walked off while we were speaking to him. The poor service just completely overshadowed the food. Such as shame.

    I'm not sure where to start. We were in town for our son's graduation at Roanoke College. My son picked Billy's on a recommendation he received from a friend. Let's just say that our expectations were nonexistent as we didn't know what to expect. I did check a few reviews and they were good. So I felt comfortable booking a reservation. But beyond that I didn't know what to expect. Making the reservation was easy. The text reminder was good. Just the right time and not annoying. When we arrived at Billy's we were a little early. The folks were wonderful and told us it would be a short wait. And that it was. I think we may have waited 5 minutes total. Very impressive since we were about 15 minutes early! Our waiter was new (and I hope to edit this once I find the receipt and his name as he deserves a shout out) but he showed he was excellent at his job. He was attentive without being annoying. He interacted with us just the right amount and when my son spilled his water our waiter was right on it getting us extra napkins to clean up! I will say we were so impressed with the young man that I did mention it to one of the managers! Our food was excellent. Again, I can't say enough here and don't really know what to say except everything tasted amazing, was cooked to perfection and the presentation was nice. I guess all I can say is it's nice to see such an amazing resturant in Roanoke. Billy's is clearly a wonderful experience and I highly recommend them.

    Tables are spaced out nicely and we felt like it was private and not rushed. Highly recommend the bacon wrapped scallops; they were large and tasted fresh. House salad was basic but the greens were lovely. Try the old bay buttermilk dressing! My Lamb Shank was cooked properly and the fig reduction on top was a nice sweet point. My boyfriend’s NY strip was a perfect medium for him. If you don’t drink like myself, the Blueberry mock tail was good! We shared crème brûlée for dessert and it was a larger portion for the price! ($11) All of the food and portions were worth it and our server was wonderful. He was kind and just the right amount of personable. Very timely. Definitely left 25%. Ask for Ryan!!!

    The food was excellent and the server very patient and not pushy. We were seated in a back room with two large tables which made it very hard to hear each other speak. We were trying to have a business conversation - other than that I would highly recommend it.

    The table we were at was so dark it was hard to see the menu or food. We were seated next to a large loud party. I had an issue with me meal and did not eat it and they tried to charge me anyway.
