Served with Cheddar Smashed Potatoes & Grilled Asparagus
Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes topped with Remoulade & served with Cheddar Smashed Potatoes & Grilled Asparagus
Good food, and excellent service. Definitely worth a visit
Wonderful experience. Super attentive staff & delicious food!
I didn’t think the food was worth the price. The crab cakes were on the dry side, the asparagus was chewy, and the steak needed A1. The mashed potatoes were delicious but I didn’t make a reservation for the potatoes. The service was impeccable and everyone I encountered was very nice and professional.
We loved Billy’s! Food was really well done and service was friendly and safe. Would highly recommend!
Dinner at Billy's never disappoints. I had the lamb pops and fried oyster salad. They were excellent. Although expensive, it was a great evening.
The front desk was turning away customers right and left. I would never let my employees talk to customers the way they were.
Excellent service, amazing food and great ambience!
Our first time in Roanoke we had dinner at Billys. The dining room is very nice and the tables are spread out so distancing was easy. Definitely recommend making a reservation. Many people were walking in off the street and being turned away because they were full up.
The food. NY Strip for the boyfriend, I had the crabcake. Their crab cake is almost 90% crab, 10% filler to hold it together. Covered in a remoulade sauce over succotash. It was good. My own fault for not asking for the sauce on the side. Not a huge fan of remoulade. NY strip was cooked perfectly. He very much enjoyed it
Dessert: Got a slice of the Limoncello Cake with Mascarpone Icing to take to go. We didn't get to eat it until a day or two later. It was still amazing. Totally recommend.
Our server Hannah was really nice and made our dinner even better. Thank you Billy's for the great night.
Very good food. Aranchini appetizer was fantastic. Everything cooked per request and needed a take out box to bring extra home. Good social distancing and staff was conscious of safety precautions. Go there when you can
Everything about it was excellent!
It was the best prime rib I have had for a very long time. The oysters rock were out of this world. We had an excellent waiter who knew his food and was very helpful. Everyone seemed to doing the correct social distancing and you felt safe to be in there eating.
Great ahi tuna and crab cakes. Sat in courtyard for a drink prior to dinner reservation. Manager came by and gave us a history lesson on Billy’s. Octavia did a wonderful job serving us. RG
Over three decades of experience at this restaurant, it has clearly lost much of its attraction. They no longer serve favorites like Billy’s Texas steak chili, blackened fish, had no fresh bread at lunch. The pimento cheese sandwich with soup was mediocre, the chicken and dumpling soup was mostly (undisclosed) peas, etc. a very loud patron seated in the middle of the restaurant made for a very uncomfortable situation for others.
Ate Sunday brunch. Omelets were huge and well prepared. 2 people ate for $30 which I thought was a good price. The grits and cooked apples were delicious. Server was attentive without being around too much.
My husband and I love to eat at Billy's. The food is delicious, the service is good, and everyone is friendly!
Birthday celebration for two family members
What a wonderful dinner with an attentive server. Delightful
Great location, good food, little pricey, didn’t appreciate waiter calling us “girls”. Little low class, demeaning. Ladies, or nothing, would have been more appropriate. But, “alright girls” was a huge miss. And, while it may have just been the crowd on the night we were there, it was super loud.
Awesome quality for the money! Food was great drinks were even better!
Excellent food and service. Table placement and servers meet Covid-19 requirements.
Outstanding service and very good food. The smashed potatoes are soooo good.
We had a very nice meal to celebrate our anniversary. My wife loved her lamb shank. The Butterfinger cheesecake was excellent, starting with a fabulous crust. We sat in the courtyard and really enjoyed the environment.
Caleb our server was a delight!
Billy's is our go-to for brunch as well as special occasions. The food and service never disappoint. I had fried chicken over biscuits and gravy and a terrific glass of wine. It was amazing as always! My husband loves the prime rib. We will be back again and again
We enjoyed our first time to Billy’s during our first trip to Roanoke. The service was great as was the food! We especially enjoyed their bourbon collection!
The goat cheese salad was excellent! We ordered the pan seared trout which was ok, but the kitchen sent out a replacement meal when I said the trout was not up to par. Very thoughtful. Our server was excellent.
Excellent steaks and seafood! The service was wonderful. We took my mother there for her birthday and she said "everything about the evening was perfect". Can't get much better than that.
My wife and I were in Roanoke visiting our daughter. To celebrate my wife's birthday we took her to Billy's and could not have been happier with our decision. We had a reservation for 6 PM, when we arrived on time we were taken directly to our table. Our waitress Julia was a pure delight, and went out of her way to ensure our experience was exceptional. My wife had a fish dish which she could not rave enough about, I had the rib-eye steak which was cooked to order and delicious. Our daughter had the lobster pasta dish, which was loaded with lobster. She could not finish it and happily took the leftovers home. We had a lovely evening and will certain visit Billy's again when we are in Roanoke.
Great experience, great food, and an amazing selection of bourbon and wine.
Everything was delicious. Especially the limoncello cake!!!!
We went to Billy's to celebrate 50 years of a happy marriage, so we knew we were splurging. We chose Billy's because their menu was extensive.
The wait staff served us well.
My husband's Caesar salad (with added anchovies) was delicious.
I was disappointed in the soup du jour, watermelon, blood orange and cucumber gazpacho. It was not to my taste. I was also disappointed in my bloody Mary cocktail. I asked for it with only light spice. It was WAY too spicy for me and I was not able to finish it.
The entrée (prime rib) was wonderful as were the grilled asparagus and the cheddar smashed potatoes.
I'd rate the evening as success.
Our server was exceptional. We started with soup and salad and the corn chowder was amazing. I had the prime rib and my wife had pasta. Both dishes were amazing.
The service was excellent and the food was as well.
Great meal, great service and great cocktails. We spent a couple nights in this charming city and chose Billy's for a special meal and were not disappointed. We had a ribeye and a strip with a cold-water lobster tail. Server recommended the lobster mornay sauce too and it was a wow! Craft cocktails were great. We'll be back to visit Roanoke someday and when we do, Billy's will be on the schedule!
Bad to barely mediocre food.
Another terrific experience at Billy's. It got busy, and the manager came by and took our order (even tho we were fine waiting for the server), the servers worked together seamlessly and the food came out hot and as ordered.
This time we had the NY strip, which was solid. We wouldn't order that again with so many great options. But it was still tasty, and the cheesy mashed potatoes were sublime.
The rainbow trout was delicious and plentiful, esp with the risotto and veggies.
The bread is amaze-balls even without butter. We would be happy with a basket of that and a few drinks:-)
Speaking of drinks, the Good Vibes beer was the night's choice and an excellent one. The peach sangria was refreshing and packed a punch, the lemon pound cake cocktail really did live up to its name -- OMG -- and the mermaid mojito remains the fave.
The limoncello cake was divine. What a wonderful, comfortable place to hang out and enjoy inspired food and attentive service. Thanks, Billy's, for doing everything spot on.
We always love coming to Billy’s and have never had a bad meal there. Their Sunday brunch is fantastic, but we did miss their Bloody Mary bar😩. Totally understand though, can’t wait for things to return to normal!!
Love Billy's. We make sure to visit every time we are in Roanoke.
Service, ambiance, and social distancing was perfect! We love Billy’s.
However; our meal was over seasoned and salted, we didn’t enjoy the bloating feeling we had afterwards. I ended up taking my meal home. It was the Mornay chicken. Yummmm, but over salted for sure. Sorry to complain. We want to come back again and support you.
Great place to celebrate a bday plus super Convenient to our hotel which was awesome. The historic Roanoke hotel and conference center.
From top to bottom Billy's provides an excellent dining experience. Great selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts combined with a wonderful wine list makes this one of the best places to dine in Roanoke.
