Mr. Baan’s Bar and Mookata is a place to gather and share unique cocktails, wine, and spirits while feasting on charcoal grilled Thai barbecue.

Mookata translates is “cook it yourself” barbecuing experience. It consists of a domed grill surrounded by a moat of broth, which is enriched by the drippings of the meat. A mookata set comes with various marinated meats, vegetables, eggs, and dippings sauces. Come enjoy Mookata on Mr. Baan's patio which has misters when it's hot or heaters when it's col.

Mr. Baan's is run by Yotaka and Alex Martin.

The energetic dining space overlooks the scratch kitchen with views of our culinary team. A separate piano lounge with live entertainment adds to the dynamic vibe. Seasonal outdoor dining by the fireplace is also available.

Please note we do have a dress code at Ember.

We do not allow beachwear, gym attire including sweatpants, sweatshirts or hoodies. Athletic apparel, jersey's, baseball style hats, beanie's, bandana's, oversized or baggy clothing, flip flops, open toed shoes for men, tank tops and sleeveless shirts are prohibited.

As usual, a very elegant service from Alyssa and amazing food from the culinary team ! Foie gras au torchon is perfect, garlic shrimp amazing and sea bass definitely best in the valley, highly recommend this hidden gem with better prices than most Scottsdale restaurants… just with way superior food and beverages.
