About the restaurant
Jeffrey's Restaurant & Bar has been an Austin fine dining institution since 1975. In 2012 the restaurant closed for a major renovation and was reopened by McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality. The legendary restaurant, nestled in the Clarksville neighborhood just west of downtown, features a lively bar and three distinct dining rooms. The menus, from executive chef Mark McCain, features dry-aged prime steaks, updated classic fine dining, and locally sourced produce. The award-winning wine list, one of the largest and most diverse in Texas, features highly-sought after vintages from Old and New World producers. Private dining in the Napoleon Room and The Apartment is available for special events. Valet service is offered.

The charming neighborhood location, old world service & multiple private dining options make Jeffrey's a true Austin gem. Jeffrey's was named “Top 10 Best New Restaurants” in the country by Bon Appetit magazine in 2013.

Excellent meal; service could have been more attentive. Parking was easy--50 feet to the door; very quiet restaurant. Will go back--have been here probably 20 times in last 10 years.

About the restaurant
At Bob’s you are treated like family. When you arrive at your table, the famous pickles come standard and a fresh, hot loaf of bread is delivered almost immediately for you to enjoy while you order your drinks and your meal.
Known for our filets, Bob’s only serves prime cuts of beef. They have more marbling and flavor than the choice filets most other steak houses serve. Bob’s dinners have always included their iconic, larger than life, glazed carrot and your choice of potato. It’s a tradition and a great value they are proud to offer our guests. One carrot with one prime steak at a time totaling, about three tons of carrots each week. It may seem silly for a world-class steak house to tout its glazed carrot, but once you’ve tried it, you’ll understand.

We consider sleeveless shirts on men, flip flops, boldly logoed athletic attire/gym attire, beach/pool wear too casual. We also ask that ball caps be removed while in the restaurant. Business casual ok.

Reservations are recommended.

From the moment we walked into Bob’s Prime Steakhouse, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between classic elegance and warm, welcoming comfort. Soft lighting, polished wood finishes, and attentive staff set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. Let’s talk steak — because wow. I ordered the steak feature, and it was hands-down one of the best cuts I’ve ever had. Perfectly seared, incredibly tender, and seasoned with a simplicity that let the quality of the meat shine. My partner had the lobster, which practically melted with each bite. The sides were just as impressive — and the signature glazed carrot (a fun Bob’s twist!) was a standout. Jay & the bar team were our host, and they were knowledgeable, friendly, and anticipated our every need without ever hovering. We never felt rushed, and every recommendation — from the scallop appetizers, wine pairing to the decadent key lime pie for dessert — was spot on. Bob’s Prime Steakhouse doesn’t just serve incredible food; it delivers a complete dining experience. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just treating yourself to a top-tier meal, this place should be at the top of your list. Can’t wait to return!

We were staying at the resort and booked dinner for a party of 4. We had a beautiful table outside overlooking the green space on the property. Our server was knowledgeable on the menu, able to make recommendations and was very friendly. We didn't feel rushed and had a great experience overall. Food was amazing, great drink selections and fun mocktails too. Would definitely dine again, and highly recommend.
