Friday evening (29th July) and 2 of the 3 dishes we chose were off the menu. I have eaten here regularly but this was not the best experience. Surely on a Friday evening around 8.30 pm there should not be such a limited choice. It was too late to go to another restaurant but sadly I will think twice before returning. Such a shame as I am an avid member of BFI and have enjoyed eating here after seeing films with friends and family,

We signed up to the Benugo newsletter prior to our visit in order to avail ourselves of the offer of a free glass of prosecco. However the waiting staff were adamant they could not fulfil the offer as we had not brought print-outs of our vouchers along with us, despite showing them our email confirmations of the same. In this respect, we felt somewhat let down by the level of customer service. We had the fixed price menu for a pre-theatre booking. The service and turnaround was quick and a fair range of options offered on the menu. The pan-fried trout was particularly tasty; the mushroom ravioli was very buttery and appeared to have more Parmesan than ravioli presented in the dish itself.

Nice food and they even had some organic wine. This is a great pre-film option for the NFT or Imax, with reasonable prices, we will definitely eat there again.

Whilst i have historically been a fan of benugos- this day the service and food quality was truly dreadful. Very slow, undercooked burgers and mistakes galore. Real shame

The service was superb; attentive, informed and amusing; the specials of the day included asparagus and pea soup and a cod dish, both of which were balanced, tasty and served straight off the pass. Our champagne cocktails were well made and anything but weak. It is not cheap dining but it is value for money in a pleasant atmosphere.

I am a BFI member and have many excellent times at Benugo, however, on this occasion I introduced new guests to the restaurant and we were departed disappointed despite a large bill for the six of us. The service was limited, late and just on the border of being rude. Perhaps short staffed, but for the restaurant was not full all the time.

Blinds to the windows are essential for comfort in sunny weather. Quite uncomfortable when we were there. Great venue for easy access to National Theatre and BFI.

Overall the service was great, people are friendly. My starter and main courses was perfect, only the dessert is a bit too sweet for me.
