Benihana - Anaheim
Great time- Good, Fresh Food and Fun staff.
Very disapointed in my birthday dinner. We were so excited to go to Benihana, we made reservations for a party of 5. When we got there the girl barked at us "You're all here right we won't seat you till you are" and I said, "Oh two people will be late" and she took back the pager and said we couldn't be seated. So we waited for the other person, and when they got there a different girl was at the check in and said "Oh you didn't want to sit in the bar while you waited?" Yeah we would have, that was never offered to us.
We sat down, service continued to be horrible. Twice I was given a tea cup with lipstick on it, so I don't feel like they properly clean their dishes. Our water glasses were never refilled. Took about 50 minutes for the chef to come and start cooking our food. The chef did none of the fun stuff, no onion volcano, no shrimp toss, nothing. The reason we justify the high cost of the food is based on the experience of the chef cooking, and it was very lacking.
We ordered a sushi roll as an appetizer, it didn't get there till the chef had already started cooking (so maybe 50 minutes after we ordered it) and it was very dry.
Our food was good. I ordered the samari special which was steak and shrimp. I never received the order of shrimp, I just got a little piece of shrimp put on my plate just like everyone else.
Splitting our check three ways took over 20 minutes. We were sat around 8:45 and didn't leave until after 11pm.
In the parking lot my husband told me that he brought a cake in for them to bring out and sing to me. That never happened. We didn't even bother with going to get the cake, we were so dissapointed in the service we just wanted to go home.
Such a bummer, and I hope no one else's birthday dinner goes as poorly as ours.

In town at Disney for the long weekend. Brought the kids out to Benihana for our last night. Hector was our chef and he was amazing. We had so much fun because of him! I’d come back just for Hector!!! :)

Our server Angelica and chef Dustin provided a spectacular service for my husband and myself. From previous visit that was a horrible experience, my husband convinced me to give it another go and I am glad. Special thanks to Angelica and Dustin. Will return to this location.

There was a 13 year old birthday party going on and there was about 15 kids screaming. No one told them to be quiet or stop. It was completely unfair as my husband and I were paying for our meal and deserved not to be interrupted by constant screams. Really angry.

This is not my first bad experience with this particular Benihana. But I wanted to give them a second chance. Unfortunately, they didn't redeem themselves. (Note that the Sushi bar is AWESOME! This just refers to the teppenyaki side.)
Because we had our reservation, we were seated right away. But we ended up waiting almost an hour before the chef actually came to the table. We were served drinks and the soup and salad in between, but it was still a really long time before the main course was started. The chef also forgot one of my items (my chicken) and an item from someone else's meal at the table. The chef was also complaining the entire time about his boss and the fact that the vents didn't work and that the food was not actually fresh. Even though he said it all in a joking tone, it was a complete turn off from the meal and just rude and made for a bad time. It was also REALLY hot in the restaurant, like they didn't have the AC on. So it was also uncomfortable.

Great food. Fast checkin with reservation. Great waiters and waitress. We only come on special occassions and never been let down once.

I believe we just had a bad chef. Couldn't speak English, was always mumbling. Was getting orders wrong and giving incorrect portions out. The food and service was horrible that night and I felt like I wasted money.

Great first valentines date with new girlfriend!
Had a reservation for Valentine’s Day it was a little concerned because their parking lot was full when we rolled up. After we walked in it was packed but they had a seated in a few minutes and was eating soup and salad a few minutes after that. Amir the manager is the best. Thank you again for a wonderful evening.
It was Valentine's Day and the place was VERY busy......but it took over an hour before our chef showed up....but once he did.....YUM YUM YUM

Benihana continues to be my favorite tableside Japanese restaurant. The chefs are always friendly, the staff is great, and the food outstanding. It's pricey, but you really do get what you pay for. This is not a good place for a quiet meal, but a great place for fun while you eat. I took my fiancee here for Valentine's day and we both loved it (it was her first time going). Also, shout out to OpenTable, which we made our reservation through, for being easy to use and making sure we got a reminder.
My cook forgot to cook my Filet mignon after saying he will be back to cook it for me. It was not taken off my Bill but THATS NOT MY SERVER’S fault so I still took care of him. He was a wonderful gentleman
Great food! The service is also amazing. I would definitely recommend to anyone of my friends or family. It’s also one of my favorite places. The food is great as well. The steak was juicy and tender. Benny put on a fun show!

If you have a small party you will get assigned to a table along with other people that may have a small party as well. Very Friendly staff and amazing/entertaining service for our first time going.

The food was great, but the cook wasn’t as entertaining as the last time we visited. He cracked some jokes, but wasn’t animated like other cooks we’ve had, so a bit disappointing since we were there celebrating a birthday. We enjoyed our food, but not much more

We had 5:15 reservation for 3 people. We were finally seated to a table at 6:30. Our chef/cook showed up at 8:30. They were way too short-staffed. The people at the table next to us waiting were just as frustrated as our table. Hire more chefs/cooks!

It was the first time in over 10 years we had such a bad experience at Benihana. We were there for our Son's 14th birthday and had reservations at 5:15, we were called to your table at 7pm, didn't eat until 8-8:30... four hours later we were out of Benihana and had missed our movie. So disappointed with our Benihana experience this time.

Had reservations at 415 didn’t sit for about 45 mins after the reservation. There’s no waiting area at all. It was raining so waiting outside wasn’t really an option had to wait about an hour once sitting for the chef to come out. He was amazing. But everything else too forever even getting the check whole thing took about 4 hours it was pretty ridiculous.

Birthday Lunch !
Chose the Anaheim for location thinking service would be better than my closer Torrance or Santa Monica Locations... I was wrong! Server took 40 mins to get our drink order... Manager had to be asked for server... reservation was at 8:45. got sat right away--- that was Great! chef didn't come out to cook until 10:30pm--- he kept making comment that they send him out to all the "upset" tables on purpose... eh! Never again...i'll keep taking my talents to Santa Monica!

Food was amazing, our chef & server were wonderful but we had to wait a long time to be seated. Your hostess may need a little more training or they were overbooked.
Overall it was a great night!
We go to Benihana’s once a year for my sons birthday and tonight was one of the worse experiences ever!! We made reservations and got seated 50 mins later, then the cook did not entertain us at all! I understand people have bad days, but wow he seemed upset. After he had the nerves to say that he’s the best chef in the restaurant when he literally loaded our food with butter after butter after butter and reminded us to leave tip for him with our server. On our way out I had to mention our experience to a manager since we’ve spent $300 on dinner and wouldn’t want others to experience what we had. What blows my mind is that the manager didn’t even try fix the issue or make an effort to lighten up our mood. Never going back to this location again!

This place goes back to my high school days 30 yrs ago. Tends to get crowded very quickly and definitely not a place to go if your looking for a quiet evening. Tight and cramped seating and generally with other couples you may not know. The food is heavily seasoned and because it’s diced so finely gets lost in the rice and noodles. I felt the service was slow, but over all it’s an experience you will either like or say once is enough. For a party of four with no alcohol I spent $180.00
