Absolutely beautiful ambiance, but the menu left a lo to be desired. Small portions that were over priced for the quality of the food and the cocktails. Beautiful atmosphere and excellent service, but vastly disappointed in the food.

Beatrice & Woodsley is absolutely beautiful inside and the service was outstanding. The aspen trees and hanging lanterns give the place an incredible ambiance, making you feel like you're at one of those beautiful outdoor meals that you see in fake spreads in magazines. The hostess and all of the servers were absolutely on point and I've never received such amazing service. I was delighted with these aspects of our experience.

That being said, I was very distracted with where we were sat, outwardly facing all of the other couples who were also trying to have romantic dates. The person who recommended this restaurant to us loved the fact that you sit next to your date instead of across from them. But I made awkward eye contact a dozen times with those sitting across from me and finally forced myself to turn sideways in my seat to fully face my husband.

Finally, aside from the most incredible avocado salad that had the most perfect hint of acidity, the food was a bit disappointing and quite underwhelming. It wasn't BAD, but it definitely didn't impress us in any way. It just didn't feel worth the price. I wish so badly that the whole experience had blown us away, but the food just didn't come up to par, especially with what we've had at places like the Kitchen, Rioja, Fruition, Old Major, Root Down, etc.

Side note for management: The women's restroom was super cool and very interesting, but it smelled like a word I NEVER use...p*ss. I almost gagged. Please for the love of all that's holy, install an air freshener or clean out the ventilation.

As always this restaurant was amazing. Food service drinks and ambiance were all perfect! This will always and forever be my favorite restaurant. The only thing that could make it better would be more vegan options and happy hour food price available for tables too not just the bar area.

Usually the food is amazing at B&W.....not so much for Thanksgiving. The food was served tepid....not hot. It gave the impression that the food was all cooked in advance...maybe even the day before and warmed up (barely) before service. The menu had two bread puddings..one savory and One sweet....it was too much and too heavy. We’ll go back on a regular night...but never for a holiday meal again!

The waiter really killed the mood. We explored the Speer neighborhood prior and loved everything about it. We grabbed a drink at Lena prior. Highly recommend. Great design and music. We were really excited about Beatrice & Woodsley but our waiter was very rude and spoiled the mood. I've spent years in the restaurant business and understand the industry. I learned that polite paying customers must be treated well. However, the decor is top notch and bathrooms are a trip.

The food was delicious, the crawfish beignets are a must try. All of the dessert was incredible although the cobbler would have been much better if warmed up. Creme brûlée was to die for as was the pistachio sponge cake. Loved the “that’s so fetch” cocktail! The decor /ambience was amazing!

We heard this was a great restaurant and got a gift card as a gift. The ambiance was different and really nice, but the food was Eh. We had a goat cheese and pear on bruschetta and it didn't have much taste at all. I ordered shrimp and grits and I never would've known it was grits (I'm still wondering). It was more like mashed potatoes. The service staff was nice and attentive but it took a long time to get our food. It was nice to experience the ambiance, but not worth the hype at all, or waiting weeks you get a reservation. I probably won't be going back.

Had been waiting to go here for awhile, and choose to celebrate a birthday here. Unfortunately it was a really disappointing experience. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is even better. The service is where it fell short. It took 20 minutes for them to take our drink order, and another 35 mins to get our two glasses of wine. In defense of the wait staff, they had a wedding party downstairs. They were short staffed as it was. We rarely even saw the two working that night. They were doing the best they could. It would have been nice to know there was a wedding party beforehand. They need to either schedule more staff those nights or close for a large private event.

Arrived on time for our reservation and were promptly seated. From other reviews I thought the restaurant would be more crowded than it was for a Saturday night. Lots of empty tables.

Ordered drinks to start. They were refreshing and tasted good, though nothing spectacular. We ordered the crawfish beignets and waited over 45 minutes for them to arrive. We were told there was a large party that had their food order in, so the kitchen couldn't keep up. My boyfriend ordered a second drink, but nobody came around to get my drink order. The beignets finally came, they were tasty. We didn't end up ordering dinner. Overall pretty much a letdown.

This is a very very expensive restaurant. Entrees are in the $32 area with a salad costing $15 The food quality is excellent, however, in comparison to Charcoal, Rioja, Mercantile the restaurant is simply grossly overpriced and not nearly as good as competitors.

We were celebrating my birthday so we wanted something romantic. This is a gem of a restaurant for sure! The food was inventive and excellent with just the right amount servings. Our waiter Anthony was very professional and helpful. When the food arrived the dish was explained in detail.
Thank you for making my birthday so special!!

Overall, it was an okay experience. The ambience is delightful. The wait staff was friendly enough. We enjoyed the flavor profiles of the dishes, but every single protein at our table was overcooked: pork shank, salmon...even the ricotta gnocchi. The best dish by far was the ricotta toasties appetizer. We skipped dessert after the rather blah exoerience. I would probably return for drinks and people watching, but the food was not worth it. There are far too many restaurants in Denver with much better menus and preparation.

What a wonderful place to gather. The ambiance and decor are a delight. The breakfast brunch was wonderful, as was the coffee and mimosa. Cannot overstate how good the food was. The service was welcoming and attentive with no sense of rush. Well worth the hour drive to celebrate a birthday. If we lived close, we would definitely visit often.

The décor is quite unique, however we had a lackluster server. The person who served our food was much more engaging and personable.

I enjoyed the food overall, and each of our choices were thoughtfully plated.

If the service experience were more consistent, and there was less of a "we're too cool for you" feel, this place could do well.

I was so excited to dine here! And while the atmosphere was very romantic, I didn't love all the dishes we ate at our brunch. The avocado salad was fresh and delicious—with hints of citrus zest—but I can't recommend the shrimp and grits; the salad that accompanied it was so highly salted I found it completely inedible, and the grits were so finely ground they had the texture of pudding. Oh, and the shrimp were few—and small. I usually love biscuits, but theirs were a little greasy for my taste. This is all just my personal opinion, of course—I have a very exacting palette. Another diner may love them. Perhaps other dishes are better. And the atmosphere is lovely!

In general I was expecting more from Beatrice & Woodsley after all the good reviews. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't anything to remember. The food was ok but coffee was very bad, I couldn't drink it and I am far from being an expert. It was just bad and tasteless. The waitress didn't even ask why I didn't like it or offered another option, she simple took it from the table and that was it. During the booking process they ask if it's an special occasion so I thought that this may mean something giving that it was my boyfriend's birthday brunch. Nope, it didn't, the host just said happy birthday before showing us our table and that was it.
I wanted to love this place, and did a good research for booking giving that I don't live in Denver. But it simply wasn't what I was expecting.
