We had an excellent experience at the Beachhouse! The service and food were wonderful and the wait staff were very attentive to our needs. Beautiful sunset too!!
We had dinner. Had a view of a beautiful sunset which was unfortunately blocked by some beach umbrellas at the next door bar but it was still visible. The food was great. Had the king crab. Amazing. Cocktails also great. Classic Hawaiian music playing live at bar next door.
Wonderful experience in every way! Lovely food, service and ambience with great view! Perfect! We are already reserved for 2 more dinners this week!
Food was amazing and atmosphere excellent as always. Great dessert
What a gorgeous setting!!! Lovely food too, just pricey.
Everything was great, food took about 90 minutes to come out but we enjoyed the atmosphere so much that it didn’t matter.
It is a nice setting, but not worth the money! Though I asked via the website of OpenTable for a nice table, they first gave us the worst they have. After complaining we got a better one. Staff is doing their job, but not more!
In Europe you get much better value for the money e.g. you have well trained service staff!
Great experience! Carlo our server was amazing and so attentive to our needs without even asking he split our entire meal for us knowing that we were gonna share. It’s little things like that that really make an experience more amazing. We will be back for sure!
Great location and decent food. Price doesn't reflect the quality of the food. Portions are small but expected but the quality of the food should be better for the price they charge.
Excellent as always
The service was so good. I made a special request for them to hold a gift that I was going to give to my girlfriend until the end of the meal and they did a phenomenal job adhering to my request. The staff is very friendly and they’ve made my experience a memorable one! Thanks!!
Fantastic food , service was good , ambiance was very nice , walked away feeling very satisfied . will definitely be back . Thank You
Very pricey and the food was a little overly pretentious but the location is amazing. Service was just OK, I kept having to duck as the waitress continually carried big trays over my head. For the price, could have been a lot better.
It was our anniversary & Valentine’s Day. The staff were very friendly & the food was delicious. Would highly recommend 😀
I almost hate to publicize the Surf Rider’s Valentines’s Day dinner because I want it to stay a semi-well-kept secret. But we have made this a part of our Presidents Day trip to Oahu for years and it gets better every year. Just amazing this year.
This was the most expensive meal we’ve ever had because it was a prix fixe menu for Valentine’s Day. It was also one of the best!
Was seated at a table for 2. Very romantic. Open to all the sounds of the ocean Beautiful atrium area. French onion soup was savory and cheesy. Perfect!
The grilled Ribeye is worth the price Winter even surprised us with a small piece of carrot cake just so we could have a taste. 5 stars!
Had a sampler 3 course meal. Dry roast beef, raw lobster. Seafood didn’t taste fresh. Dessert was good! The ambiance is so beautiful there but the food is not worth the money. The wait staff is not as attentive as they should be for this price point but they were very cordial. Really not their fault for the poor quality of the food. I love the veranda but would think twice about eating a fine dining dinner There again maybe just the tea next time!
Satisfied everything meals and services and others
Great ambiance, unbelievable view of the beach, sunset-food was very good, the service was good, the server was a bit too pushy!Beachhouse is comparable to etiology ring of restaurants-Orchids, Michels, 53 By the Sea etc.
Wonderful place to dine with the sunset. The old hotel has been refurbished. It was a good job, but one wishes to have been able to walk down the hallways when the older floors were still creaking. The hotel still is wrapped around the ancient Banyan tree (priceless) and the entire hotel faces a world-class sunset beach. Reservations are a must. So glad in this case to have OpenTable, honestly.
The restaurant is a step up from the typical outdoor Hawaiian food setting in terms of service and food, but still surrounded by a more or less unruly crowd of sandy (and drunk) beach people vying for seats at the bar or at the many tables in the large bar area nearby, with no controls on seating or courtesy by darting waiters, which detracts from the ambiance and restaurant experience. We went early to enjoy a cocktail and listen to the live music. With the exception of a few, no one was listening to the music or clapping for the musicians. Expected more from a storied, historic, beautifully restored hotel like the Moana.
We enjoyed the meal and the service was adequate. The setting was beautiful at sunset. We did feel that it was quiet expensive compared to similar quality restaurants
Outstanding meal as always. steaks cooked perfectly! View is always nice with the music. Love going back every year when on vacation in Waikiki
I decided to go to this restaurant for their seafood appetizer. While it was delicious, it was a bit small considering it was $104. It included crab, lobster, abalone, shrimp and oysters. I love all of this and have ordered at other locations. It is a two person minimum at $52/person. Again, it was tasty, I would just have expected the amount I received to be $52 for the entire platter not $104. The ambiance was great with a beautiful Banyon tree lit up in the center. The music was also great during our meal. Service was fantastic. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Dylan was our server and he was patient and had great recommendations. The food was really good, a little over priced compared to the mainland steak prices but overall good.
Anniversary dinner. Wonderful!
The food was delicious but it felt a bit overpriced. My Adoba Pork Chop was excellent but my girlfriend’s space ribs were a little small considering it was almost a $50 entree.
We were celebrating our honeymoon. Brandon was an excellent server, and recommended the Lobster pasta for my wife, which she absolutely loved. The filet minon was delicious, and the chaser salad was both good and the most interesting one I’ve had.
Hands down one of our favorite places on the island. It’s a “must stop,” any time we come back to Oahu. The atmosphere, the music, the view....all come together harmoniously. The food has always been exquisite and top tier. Thank you for setting the bar!
The food was awesome. View and food amazing. The only draw back was that the waiters and waitress were hard to understand. They need to work on there English skills
The food was good and the sever (as well as his support staff) were very nice and competent, but the wait time for food and drink was long and I have a hard time justifying the cost with the overall experience provided. It was an important occasion for our family and I guess I was looking for a restaurant that would make it more memorable. I wanted to mention it here in hopes that management would take things to the next level in the future. There’s a lot of competition out there and the Moana Surfrider is a special place. Sadly I don’t think I’ll return for a meal, but the mai tais were great and that helped. Aloha nui.
Everything was perfect! The view of the sunset, the music, the food, service and ambiance!
Very nice, although definitely on the high side when it comes to price with so many a la carte items.
The location in a historic hotel on the beach couldn’t be better. The pallella was dry. The braised ribs were good as was the lobster soup had by my guests
Dessert was excellent
