Excelente servicio y un menú sensacional
Food was delicious, space was lovely, and staff was great!
Fabulous experience, The service was excellent, question in reference to the menu and drink selection were answered and spot on.
Drinks were tasty and very different. Each course was presented elegantly and tasted amazing.
With the current situation with Corona I was able to get a same day reservation which I was surprised about. From the minute we walked we were greeted and well taken care of. Mario is an amazing waiter and all the staff is great. Food was amazing from the appetizers to the desserts. Look forward to going back
This is one of the best restaurants in Houston. Great service, food and atmosphere. It is very expensive but worth it - especially for a special occasion. Also has the best gin and tonics in the city.
We loved everything about BCN...the food was delicious, the drinks were the best we have had in Houston and the service was over the top.
The service was a little off but the food was delicious.
The best Spanish food I had in the US. Coming from someone that has been in Spain half of his life. Amazing space and ambiance. The noise level was due to the people, that often are loud, but this is American levels of normal noise.
The food is faithful to what you'd have in Spain. The recommendations were always spot on. Good Spanish wines for all kind of prices.
Best dinner I've had in a while.
Very friendly staff. Good food & wine. Rabbit dish not as tender as hoped.
Excellent service, but a bit stuffy at times. The food was delicious as were the drinks. Really can't beat the gin and toxic options at BCN. Food prices are appropriate for some dishes and a bit too high for others.
Food was ok. I think the execution of some of the dishes was spot on..rabbit entree, ham croquettes were fabulous.
Duck dish was small, rice was not creamy..it was was undercooked and has very little fois gras. The shrimp special appetizer was nothing special.
Not that impressed. Wait staff was fantastic.
On the top of most lists of Houston's best restaurants we were underwhelmed. The upscale room is beautiful with clean contemporary lines and Miro and Picaso on the walls. The bread with olive oil served in a delicate little glass bottle was very good and I anticipated an excellent meal. An amuse bouche of smoked salmon was just ok. Although I read many raves about their elaborate version of the classic potatas braves it was a case of "the emperors new clothes " and although looking great it did not impress in texture or flavor, I'd take a good version of the original any day. Next were ham croquettes which my wife said were mushy and she did not finish them. A Frisee and baby greens salad with orange, pomegranate, fresh goat cheese and crispy goat cheese was very good. I specifically asked if the octopus had it's skin removed and was told it did.
If you like the fatty textured octopus skin (which many do) this would have been a solid dish but I still have had better. The Hake special had perfectly cooked fish (but I wish I would have ordered the Bronzino which I like much better) but the Chanterelle mushrooms were shredded and mushy with limited flavor. The asparagus was fine but nothing special and the escalloped potatoes were just not good. At this price point I expect more of a presentation than just stuff on a plate. Service was excellent. I would guess that if we came back and ordered differently we could have a good meal here but with so many great restaurants around you really can't afford to be less than stellar on so many dishes.
The food was fantastic. Cocktails were amazing too.
Appetizers and cocktails were great. I had the octopus and the steamed eel salad. The Guava and tonic was good. I didn't care for the Cuttle fish ink rice dish. it was ok.
Atmosphere was nice and we sat at the bar so it was a little noisy next to the door. Service was excellent. Bartenders were super attentive.
One of the best restaurants in town
Service was outstanding as usual; food delicious.
Had friends come in from out of town. They have traveled the world and are foodies, they loved the menu selection, service and ambience. This was our second time dining and the experience was exceptional!
Continues to perform and to excellent standard.
The food was overpriced and lackluster. They should not take 10:15 reservations if the kitchen takes last call and shuts down at 10:30. We were rushed and the bill was huge for just tapas and wine.
Fantastic! Extraordinary food and service .
Amazing restaurant for celebrate wedding anniversaries. The food is amazing, great cocktails, and wonderful service. Our waiter made us feel special by preparing a special anniversary dessert for us!
BCN is the Epitome me of a unique dining experience. Paco and all of his staff truly go out of their way to make every dining experience superb.
Excellent restaurant! Beautifully prepared, genuine Spanish cuisine without any Latin American influences. Very good selection of Spanish wines. Friendly and attentive service. Lovely atmosphere. Somewhat pricey but well worth it. This restaurant has successfully maintained its very high standards. It’s one of our favorites and is highly recommended.
Food was incredible as expected! The Iberico croquettes were heavenly. The Gintonic list is also lots of fun. Amazing service. Lupita helped us out this time and last time. She is a gem!
Consistently the best food, service and ambiance in Houston.
Lovely place, thank you for a great Valentine’s Day dinner.
Always excellent and an asset to Houston's culinary collection!
Went here on a Tuesday evening. Didn’t realize I booked reservations for at the bar, but host staff was quick to accommodate our request for a regular table since I am pregnant/not drinking. It was quite busy and service was outstanding. Food was the best I’ve had in a while. We had olives & anchovies for an appetizer, 2 different salads (my husband had something with chickpeas & mine had watermelon), and lobster as the entree, and chocolate mousse dessert. Can’t wait to go back and have a gin & tonic or bottle of wine!
After my first visit a few months ago, I recommended this restaurant to everyone I know. Sadly, since my second visit a few days ago, I can no longer do that. The service from our main server was exemplary, but the bread and water server was very poor. Inexplicably, he decided to give one of the two of us water and the other one bread, as opposed to giving us both water and both bread. Each time, we had to request he bring water/bread for the other person. Also, the meal was not a particularly good value for the cost. The first time I came here, the food was amazing and the price (though high) was totally worth it. I got the same dish the second time, and it just did not measure up. To begin with, the risotto was cold. The server apologized profusely and had it redone for me, so that was good, but on the replacement plate the salmon was overcooked. Given how long it took to get the first replacement plate, I did not want to send it back a second time. I am not sure if being seated upstairs (my second visit), as opposed to being seated downstairs (my first visit) made a difference in my enjoyment of the meal but, overall, I definitely had a better experience downstairs. Also, the restroom upstairs left a LOT to be desired.
One of the best restaurants in Houston. Certainly the best Spanish one in Texas.
Jesus took care of us, and he created a fantastic experience. The food was just outstanding !
Food is excellent and ambiance is very relaxing and comfortable! We love bringing friends to try the foie gras as well as the branzino and filet.
Sat at the bar for dinner. It was a great time with good conversations with the staff and great food!
Redundantly..............it is the BEST restaurant in Houston.
I had a delightful pre theater dinner with best gal pal. The decor of the restaurant is very sophisticated. The size is just right. The food is really top notch. I had the salmon with a blue cheese risotto which was perfection. The service was top notch and professional - carefully explaining the influences from Spain in the menu as well as the chef specials for the evening. We were delighted to get a little mini tour of the Picasso porcelains, pottery and a lovely Miro. I found the dining experience to be on a par with NYC and San Francisco. I have already recommended this restaurant to others and plan to return soon!
Every meal I’ve had herd has been great - great food, great service and great ambiance. BCN continues to be in the very top tier of Houston restaurants. Given how much of a restaurant city Houston, that’s a terrific accomplishment.
Everything at BCN is perfection!
