We are so excited to welcome winemaker Danilo Drocco from the iconic Nino Negri winery in Valtellina to the restaurant on Thursday, May 8th! We are planning to go to Valtellina on our upcoming Annual Staff Trip to Italy, and are excited to get a taste of the region beforehand! Valtellina is home to some of the most heroic viticulture of Nebbiolo; the terraced vineyards are on incredibly steep slopes that allow their local 'Chiavannasca' (aka Nebbiolo) to ripen and reflect all of the subtle differences of the terroir. Nino Negri has been making wines for over 100 years! We'll taste through a progression of their unique Alpine Nebbiolos in all their delicious forms, alongside a fantastic four course meal. We are so excited to welcome Julia Springeth from Cantina Terlano in Alto Adige to the restaurant on Thursday, May 15th! Cantina Terlano is one of the oldest (est 1893) and one of the best cooperatives in the world. We visited the winery on a Staff Trip to Italy a few years back, and are so excited to renew our love of their wines! Julia Springeth has worked for Cantina Terlano since 2015, but her connection with Terlano started when she was just a child, as her parents are winegrowers and members of the cooperative. We'll transport ourselves to this unique corner of Italy by sampling a variety of Cantina Terlano's whites, reds, and even a rose, alongside a fantastic four course meal. Barolo is a unique dining experience. The tasting menu was recommended which consists of four courses with smaller portions. You can order any of the offerings a la carte for larger portions, but the tasting menu portions were generous enough that we left completely satisfied. Each dish was prepared to perfection, delicious, and beautiful. The beverage menu was comprehensive, and the wine was superb. Our server was personable and knowledgeable, as were all the others who attended to us during our meal. We were celebrating a Birthday which was acknowledged with well wishes from the staff and a lovely surprise consisting of a cocoa-dusted truffle and a small drink made of coffee liqueur and raspberry liqueur with a bit of whipped cream on top. The restaurant was full of happy people laughing and talking, and the bustling atmosphere complemented our dining experience.

We dined on a snowy evening. The ambience was warm and inviting with a fire in the fireplace. The service was excellent and the food was superb. They know their wines and have an excellent selection. A lovely restaurant for an evening with friends.

A lovely evening! We snagged a table at the last minute, and it was so much more than worth it! They had my favorite wine, which is very very uncommon. Then we did the tastings menu which was delicious! We shared every plate, so we got to try eight different things. Only 1.5 visits, and will have conquered the menu. It’s all delicious! Thank you, Alex, Erin, Lee, Ali, Storm, Corey, and the entire staff. You guys knocked it out of the park with your service, attentiveness and cordiality. Gracie mille! See you at City Park Jazz this summer for grilled artichokes, and maybe chocolate chip cookies… Tony and Diane
