The absolute best food we’ve had in many years. Cannot say enough good things about restaurant and staff. The sommelier was outstanding, she was patient and helped guide us through two perfect bottles of wine and helped pair by the glass for our specific meals. Everyone at my table was very happy! Thank you

Didnt follow through with the birthday aspect. Got sat next to the exit door in the corner. And had reservations and had to wait about 10 minutes before we were seated, just standing around next to people eating. Felt rude and embarrassing

Very good atmosphere. Our waiter Andrew was pleasant and friendly and quite patient helping us figure out what we were gonna eat! The food was magnificent, totally worth every penny and it made the date that much better and nicer! Will be back.

Barolo continues to be our favorite restaurant in all of Colorado, maybe the world, because of the staff, highly trained and knowledgeable, and the food, and the pure energy of the place.

The best restaurant we have dined at in Denver, Bolder and Ft. Collins. It was a great meal and our server, Carmen, was outstanding. We will be back, soon!

We were not fond of the food. It was fussier than it needs to be. Perhaps nouvelle Italian is not our taste.

Always excellent food, but what puts Barolo over the top is the service. So laid back, personable and professional - all at the same time. Wowed my parents who travel often to Italy - and that’s a feat.

Barolo was written up in Wine Spectator; so when a visit to Denver became a reality, I made a reservation. The food, especially the Souffle di Funghi and the Barolo Style Braised Duck, was excellent. One of my companions had the Seared Scallops which were excellent. I'm particularly interested in the wines; the recommendation was a 2010 Brunello di Montalcino by La Togata. Delicious and well matched with the diversity of cuisine.

Flavors are accented by a texture that has an occasional unexpected but delightful crunch. I forgot to ask what it was. Another plus is that my favorite wine, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, is available by the glass for $32 thanks to their use of the Coravin Wine System. Love that their Pasta Course (Prima Piatti) is available in a tasting, appetizer or main course size so I could have that as well as the Secondi Piatti instead of choosing between them. Servers were great and just attentive enough.

Most expensive wine menu we’ve ever seen. The entire staff goes to Italy every summer for a little cultural immersion! Can’t go wrong here!

The sometimes surprising combination of flavors and ingredients were matched to make delicious plates of food. The cheese on the caprese salad was melt in your mouth with the freeze dried olive oil was a surprising addition and heirloom tomatoes it was amazing. Desert was a slight disappointment the super thin layer of creme under the sweet crisp sugar on top was too thin.

And the food was amazing, our wine choice was a 2000 Barolo, our waiter Alex recommended it,
The best word to describe our experience is “Perfect”

Barolo Grill knocked it out of the park once again. We went for our 10th wedding anniversary and were seated at the fireplace (thanks!). We told the waiter what type of wine we liked and in what price range, and she picked a wonderful wine. The new menu is fantastic. Some dishes of note were the Spanish Octopus and the pasta with lobster (AMAZING). I had the black cod dish, and my husband had the lamb loin. Both were excellent dishes. Can't wait for our next visit.

We haven't been to Baralo in over 5 years ago. It was a wonderful experience then and still is. We would rank Barolo in the top 2 or 3 in Denver. Our server was very knowledgeable on both the food and especially the wine.

Unfortunately Barolo Grill cooks all their fried food in PEANUT OIL. My husband has a severe peanut allergy. We told them and they did keep us from ordering something flash fried in peanut oil (it was not mentioned on the menu) but then my husband ordered pate and when it was served the basil leaves were flash fried in peanut oil. We removed them but they had already touched the pate so my husband did suffer a tingling feeling which kept him from enjoying his main course.

Because of this, we will never go back. Peanuts are the fastest growing food allergy today so I find it puzzling that any restaurant would use peanut oil exclusively. It could have been a deadly evening and it probably will be for someone in the future.

I love the food and the ambiance at Borolo Grill. Their menu is delightful and they keep it fresh and interesting. I particularly love the tasting menu with the paired wines - it's expensive, so I save this for a special occasion. Last Friday, the tasting menu was wonderful. Plus it leads me to try things I wouldn't otherwise order (like octopus).

Our experience was incredible. My fiancé and I had just gotten engaged before our meal and they took very good care of us. The sommelier was very knowledgable, I told her what kind of wine we liked and she brought us two options that were absolutely spot on. The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was perfect for the occasion. Would recommend this to everybody who is looking for authentic Italian cuisine and an incredible wine list

From start to finish, the Barolo experience was extraordinary. Exquisite cuisine was served by warm, attentive staff working unobtrusively--appreciated for not being overbearing while, still, they took a moment here and there with us for brief conversation, which alternately expressed genuine interest in our special occasion and provided insights to the rewarding Barolo connections to Italy.

The Grill's offerings of reduced portions at commensurate prices presented an appealing means to trying several of the remarkably inventive dishes. The experience was capped with a tasty truffles-and-liqueur treat on the house! We'll not forget this outing.

The food at Barolo was good, but to be frank I expected more. A few of the dishes were excellent, but the rest were just slightly above average. I was expecting more for such a high price.
The staff was friendly and efficient.
