Nice view, Nice ambience. The table at the terrace was awesome to see a night view of the grove mall. I ordered pasta and sandwich and it was phenomenal! They also have moctails a kind of non-alcohol cocktail.

I just wanted to treat my kids to a casual dinner to kick off the beginning of Christmas vacation. I like to go to Bar Verde for a glass of wine and a quick bite so I thought it would be a perfect place to sit out on the patio, take in the view of the beautiful Christmas tree and get into the spirit. We had friendly service right when we walked in. The lovely woman who greeted us, to the hostess who seated us and the waiter who served us. My daughter had soup, chicken tomatillo soup which had the perfect amount of heat and the chicken was tender. My son had the cheeseburger which was perfectly cooked with fries that were wonderful. I had the seared steak which was on a bed of kale with Gorgonzola crumbles, pecans and I believe there was a hint of mint in there as well. It looked like perfectly seared beef tenderloin. My kids never go without dessert and the brownie sundae filled the bill. Every hour they make “snow” so it really gets even the biggest Scrooge feeling all the holiday feels.

Maybe it was my mood, but I just enjoyed everything so much -- the lovely welcome by the host; the friendly service; the meal itself (those chicken tacos are delish!!!); and the bright, happy vibe out on the patio. It's not that any of this is new, but I had been away for a while. Good to be back and see that it still really is all that :-)

My son's favorite spot - we love the food, service, chefs, and the amazing staff! Not to mention the outdoor seating!! Just wish they were able to remain open past 7pm again someday soon. :-)

Sat out on the balcony overlooking the Grove. Hadn’t been there since pre Covid. Less food options now, but my Cilantro Shrimp salad was tasty. Was meeting a friend whom I had not seen for 22 years. They let us enjoy our table for 3 1/2 hours. Our server checked in on us, but was so gracious and accommodating. I did leave a large gratuity for taking up the table for so long. Would definitely recommend Bar Verde.

Great place , good food . Took a few minutes for someone to acknowledge us and take our order or ask about water etc. Otherwise very good experience. Been here many times . Deck has a great view of the grove !

Went for Mother’s Day (and have been here several times prior). But this time Service was bad; no greeting, long wait for everything, food is good though. Waiter had attitude. Also, sitting outside is way better than sitting inside. And happy hour is great. I’d try again with a different waiter.

Part of what I appreciate about Bar Verde is the noise level: not noisy. The music choices are good and I don’t recall the music ever being too loud. Also, no audio on the TV. We’ve been many places where both TV AND music are on, and this is truly awful. We like the food, the service is attentive, and the coffee is good. Nordstrom is always a place that delivers on the things we enjoy.

The safety precautions were excellent (distancing and masks enforced). Service was also excellent; servers were kind, attentive and food was served hot and in a timely manner. The DineLA menu IMO was a good value. My choices (calamari, cilantro lime shrimp salad) were delicious, though I would recommend getting extra dressing for the salad. The triple chocolate chip cookies were two warm small cookies and the slight disappointment came more from the bland flavor than the size. Overall, my experience was great, the air conditioning from the inside made patio dining refreshing and the view is fantastic.

Tasty food! I started with the Cilantro Lime Chicken Tacos. They were fabulous! I am still swooning from the shatteringly crisp taco shells and the DELICIOUS filling. A French Dip Sandwich and French Fries followed and were accompanied by a Claudette Cocktail. Will definitely return.

Helpful, friendly staff and clean, welcoming atmosphere. Staff followed safety precautions and open air patio dining was a plus on a beautiful LA day! Our server was attentive and friendly. Delicious taco appetizer, Chinese Chicken salads, and many other choices. The child in our party enjoyed her gourmet Mac-N-Cheese and fruit. Great time at lunch and I would return any time.
