The food was disappointing, Steak was tough, not done to my request and not a lot of flavor. My dish and my husband’s were not hot, just barely warm. Although the presentation was nice, there was not much flavor. Excellent cocktails.

With my many food sensitivities the server let the chef know. They plated up a beautiful delicious meal with out gluten or dairy. The scallops were wonderfully cooked. My companions raved over their prime rib cooked to their respective levels.

I have eaten at Bar Harbor several times over the past 20 years. I ordered their $60 fillet as I usually do and it was a bit over cooked. I ordered it medium and there was very little pink on the inside. The restaurant was very noisy. There are other restaurants that I think would probably offer a better steak for a comparable price and a quieter atmosphere that are near Madden’s and I think I’m going to recommend The Classic as my preference in the future. Also, my server was kind enough to tell me how much she makes on a monthly basis and I don’t think that’s cool. Beautiful view out onto the lake is the best fit feature.

Lovely evening….fun to dine with friends! Had a bottle of cab that was NOT good..Silver Oak and expensive!!! We know wines and it was apparently poorly kept!!

A very nice place, the only complaint I would have is the pull tab booth is too close to the dining and we had to eat with people standing right beside us and wanting to chat about our dinners. choose a seat in the back.

Love the ambiance!!! Great servers. Expensive but good food. I’m disappointed that the open table menu link is VERY outdated and the food prices listed are $10-15 under the current prices….that should be fixed!!

This was our first time to Bar Harbor and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. We wanted to sit on the patio, but because of an event going on, we instead sat inside. The noise level was a bit loud, making some conversations a bit difficult. The temperature inside was on the cold side - making it slightly uncomfortable. Overall, the experience was positive and we will definitely be back!

Bar Harbor is an iconic restaurant in the area. We have dined here dozens of times throughout the past 30 years. This was our first visit dining this summer and we were very underwhelmed with the atmosphere and others dining. Typically there is a pianist in the bar and if not, Frank Sinatra style music giving it that iconic flare. No music combined with loud customers - many looked like they had just finished a day of golf combined for a more of a "dive bar and grill" atmosphere vs a classy atmosphere. I had let the restaurant know we were celebrating our anniversary - and NOT one employee - hostess or waitress acknowledged that during our visit - most fine dining experiences recognize that when you add that to the open door request. The food was good overall - wine pours were small, but interestingly, the young woman at the bar had a nice wine pour, so it helps to flirt with the wait staff apparently. Just was not impressed - disappointed considering this has been our "go to" for decades when visiting. I contacted the restaurant via email the evening we were there and told them I'd like to discuss with a manager and would wait to write a review...but no reply so my honest review is now posted.

My husband and I have dined at Bar Harbor Supper Club many times and for many years. The service we've received each and every time is exceptional. They have a good selection of food and wine. The food is perfectly prepared to order preferences. I love that the restaurant over looks the lake, making a beautiful atmosphere for a wonderful dinner.

We went to Bar Harbor for our 50th wedding anniversary. Our meals were excellent! The restaurant was packed. Our only disappointment was the crowding of the tables in our area. We were seated in an area with tables for 4. The back of my chair touched the person at the next table. We both adjusted things as best we could to minimize the interference but could not eliminate it. These tables must be spread out in the future.

Food was excellent, best filet around. Beer taps weren’t working when we were there but that can’t be helped sometimes. Server was a little slow getting to us but she was pretty busy. Overall very happy and will be back again

Beautiful spot, one of our favorites! Service was impeccable, and food was delicious! I wish there was a better way to make reservations - no way to request outside, or book a larger group, as their phones are too busy to get through.

Wonderful place with delightful piano player in bar. Lobster however was dry and my steak tough. Potatoe and salad great though. Waitress seemed distracted but yet nice. Bartender of 25 years had never heard of a blended Smith and Kearns (ask Norway ridge..they are delicious as a dessert!). Overall a beautiful place to eat when we're in town.

Of the four dishes ordered, three were very good. The fourth, the prime rib, was practically inedible due to the toughness of the meat. The filet we ordered was very tender and flavorful as well as the pork chop and walleye filet. It's hard to ding a restaurant for one inadequate meal, but for the prices paid, expectations are usually very high for quality meats. While we won't vow to never go there again, it will be with careful consideration especially in light of the higher prices we paid.
