Food was delicious! Ahí tartare and Brussel sprouts are a must!! Our waiter Josh was super friendly and helpful with choosing our meals. I had 4 different dishes in mind and he helped me narrow down! Took his time and was honest about each dish. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Nice place, great service, but spendy. Food quality and presentation was great. Only issue is that it was rather tasteless.... i had the jidori chicken and the seared ahi... texteture was great which means all were supplied from quality sources, but ahi tasted like water... maybe I had a bad day. But I was taking a group of business visitors out for dinner and spent $1k, so a bit bummed about taste. I had better tasting chicken and seared ahi at local hole in the walls.
Was awesome but the awning was broken so we had no view 🙁
Service was slow. Some of the meals were so-so. Typical high steakhouse prices, but not a good value.
We were on vacation and were excited to have whole lobster. The lobster was such a disappointment - it was completely tasteless and didn’t seem fresh - it was room temperature. I had to keep salting it and the butter to try to taste anything. Also, it certainly seemed small for a reported (and charged) two pound lobster. The steak my son had was very good. My daughter’s chicken dish was blah - also lacking flavor. The service was ok but the waitress seemed very uninterested in providing a welcome atmosphere. She was just going through the motions and it took over 15 minutes to flag someone down to ask for something. The best part was the crackers served with the bread. Those were yummy!

The service was outstanding, but the food disappointed. The salad was fine. However the duck breast was under-rendered, so instead of crispy skin, it had a flabby fat layer. And yet the duck meat itself was slightly overcooked. The blackberry demi glace had no trace of berry or fruit flavor. And the charred brussel sprouts, rather than whole or half sprouts, was a pile of deep-fried leaves. I wanted an actual vegetable, not greasy, flaky bits. In summary, the experience wasn't worth the money.
Beautiful views at sunset over the beach at Waikiki. Had same nicely prepared Ahi and wife had a good filet. Service was good. Only gripe is the price. You’re paying for the outstanding views, so treat yourself to that.
The maître d’ was a little snooty about the dress code. The restaurant is at a beach resort after all. The food was excellent. Ambience was also nice.
We dined here for New Year's Eve. The food is good but I think calling itself a steakhouse is a stretch. We ordered our steak at medium and they both came out medium rare. Not once were we asked if we were ready to order, we had to tell them when they finally came back to the table after 10 minutes. Also, we arrived just a few minutes before our reservation and they seated a walk-in ahead of us. The walk-in didn't have a wait at all and we waited 10 minutes. Also, they seated a party that checked in after us before us. The restaurant was no more than 50% full. Very disappointed to have spent the amount of money we did to have this type of experience.
What we were looking for and hoping to be the highlight of our trip turned out to the worst experience of our stay in Hawaii. The hostess (Hasina) was rude and unprofessional. Even though we had reservations we had to wait for over 40 mins only to be seated in the bar area (table was open through out we were there). We had requested for a table close to beach as we were celebrating my wife’s 50th. It got so bad that my wife just left. Not an experience we were hoping for. Totally disappoi ted
T bone steak is very good taste. I love a piece of robster as an additional option. I visit there whenever I go to Hawaii.
Plus - service staff was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Seated us within a few minutes of our reservation in a nice location. The sweet corn dish was good as was the seafood appetizer.
Negative-in general the food was underwhelming; the entrees were very bland. I had the filet which was missing any flavor or seasoning (perhaps we should have ordered some of the side sauces). My daughter had the venison pasta and it was tasteless as well.
Went there for Christmas dinner and everything was great. Food was fantastic, service was awesome, and the view was spectacular.
We (two of us) enjoyed Christmas evening dinner, and ordered from the Christmas menu. The food was good, but way over-priced. The service was excellent. There was not one piece of holiday decoration, and for a specialty holiday dinner at Christmas, this was very disappointing. This used to be one of the "in places" for Christmas dinner. Although the food was decent, this was not the Christmas specialty dinner that this place used to be known for.
This restaurant ruined our Christmas dinner. We ordered our food it literally was at our table in 5 minutes. We know why because it was cold. We complained as well as another table that our snapper dinner was cold. They immediately grabbed our plates and the other tables plates and returned it just as fast but giving my husband the other tables plate which she had already eaten her carrots and gave my husbands which he had eaten out of to the other table. We were so upset about this and the rush we felt, we up and left without eating dinner there. The server was very nice and felt bad for us as we left. The manager was dealing with another complaint on another table so we did not wait for him. Needless to say, we ended up waiting over an hour and a half for dinner at tropics . It ruined our whole evening.
Great food but our server wasn’t so great. Asked about wine selection and she said “oh... I don’t know wine”. Yet we are in a high end restaurant. On Christmas night.
The staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming. The kitchen staff’s efforts did not meet the front of the house’s efforts. Got a weird little table in what was basically a hallway. The food was served promptly and was wan and under seasoned. Both entrees, the seared ahi tuna and the ribeye steak, were overpriced and the grill on which they were cooked was not hot enough to provide that all-important sear. Hotel food that was not worthy of the prices.

Hawaii is expensive. I had forgotten just how costly.
Our servers Josh and Mica were outstanding. They did not crowd us but were there when we needed something.
Prices were extremely high for the amount of food served. Very disappointed in the value for the cost.

We celebrated my husbands birthday dinner here it was amazing. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, John our server was the best. The food was delicious and large portions. They brought out a chocolate lava cake for him he enjoyed it very much. Thank you all for making this night so special.
My daughters promotion
We ate here on Thanksgiving. I had the special holiday meal and my husband had a steak. He said his steak may have been the most flavorful he had ever eaten. And he eats a lot of steak. My meal was also excellent. Beautiful view and good service as well.

Extremely expensive for food that had hardly any flavor. Would much rather have chosen McDonald’s over this far over priced nonsense.
