Azure - The Royal Hawaiian
Sauce romesco, fingerling potato, twin bridge asparagus, prosciutto.
Onaga /ruby snapper
Nice location and delicious dishes!
The meat we ordered was mostly fat and the shrimp was mushy. My spouse and I ended up getting very sick shortly after this meal and ended up having to stay in our hotel for the rest of the night which was unfortunate since it was out anniversary. Our server was quite pushy so we ate and left as quickly as possible.
Elegant and outstanding beachside restaurant. Impeccable service. Definitely a must for special occasions.
The ambiance was terrible! As mentioned in several reviews, many whales and other swimmers constantly walked through the dining room. With that - I will not go back.
I would suggest Michel’s At the Colony for a better ambiance without the whales walking through the dining room.
A very memorable dinner. Overlooking the Waikiki beach, eating the best whole crispy fish while the sun set. I’ll be back 🥰!
We wanted to sit outside but were told there were no tables so they sat us on the patio where they bussed tables. We felt like second class citizens. I complained and they moved us to a table outside that was open no one ever sat there. Food was expensive and just ok. Server was good
If you're hungry Azure is not going to satiate your appetite unless your able to "fork" over a small fortune. Small plates and small portions at $60 per person.
Our waiter messed up our cocktail orders twice. Noise level high.
Definitely a special place for a special dinner for a special occasion.
See food entrees were outstanding, even if a coconut rice would be preferable over a "garlic" rice as side dish, for a more island flavor (part of the reason of my 4 stars instead of 5). Ambience is very nice, especially at sunset being ocean front with the Diamond Head in the background.
Little pricy (definitely you pay for the location and view) in comparison of other comparable restaurants in Hawaii, with same outstanding food and view. Hence, my 4 stars instead of 5.
However, we really appreciated the thoughtful complimentary cake with candle to celebrate my husband's birthday.
Outstanding ocean views from this restaurant. Food quality and service is outstanding.
Hostess was reason for service only 3 star. Not at her station on our arrival. She was not there as other people came after us as well. Her greeting was short and impersonal and we showed up early which she said they were running on time and we would have to wait in a bark back us. We sat down only to be told shortly after she was ready... Wait staff was good. Food very good . But is as stated higher cost meal.. Expect $80/ person ...
Wonderfully prepared, innovatively styled food. Gracious and attentive service. Beautiful atmosphere, both at the beach and in the restaurant. The night we were there, the live music enhanced the experience.
The menu has changed since our last visit. Less selection. Service was top rate, very nice. Beautiful setting. Prices increased as well. Nice music inside.
I was disappointed with my entire experience at Azure. They make a big deal about only taking reservations a month in advance, and there’s a clause about being able to sit at your table for a specific amount of time, yet when we arrived for our 7:45 reservation the place was hardly bustling. They sat us in the bar instead of at one of the tables with a view. The menu was disappointing and the service wasn’t the best either. At one point we were going to leave to dine at any of the other restaurants on the Waikiki strip, but the volcano margarita saved the day. It was one of the best margaritas I’ve ever had. Everything else we tried - food wise - was mediocre at best. My advice is to drop in for a drink but skip the food. There are plenty of better options within walking distance from the hotel.
No longer have the Pier 38 fish selection! Limited amount of fish selection now. Whole fish was sold out at 6:15pm. Very nice view beyond the stack of beach chairs and people changing clothes. Service was very good but the restaurant was very disappointing since tables are so close together and very noisy. Had the Beef and Reef. Filet was cooked perfect but the lobster was so small and had no taste at all. Most annoying part was the amount of foot traffic they allow to walk through restaurant past our table constantly. This place has lost its way. To expensive for just a casual resort type of place.
Had reservations for 8...3 of us were very sick the next day. Drink order took forever as did the entre and desert. Coffee finally arrived as we got up to leave. Our waiter , Roy, was rude, condescending and basically ignored us . We spent over $800.00 for this meal which we will not be doing EVER again. Have been coming here since 1969. So disappointing Teresa newman
Celebrated our 39th anniversary under the stars looking out over Waikiki beach. Awesome! Great seafood, sides and desserts. We’ll definitely come back!
Very fresh food, nice service and location. Especially our waitstaff! Thank you so much for your kindness. Thanks to you, we had a wonderful time and memories. I’d love to go again. Thank you
Wonderful Valentines Day dinner! Fantastic mai tai and all the food was incredible. Ambiance beautiful. Definitely a special occasion spot.
Fantastic. My girlfriend and I love this place but I always get lost trying to find it haha
Exceptional food and atmosphere. Amazing staff. The only downside was the washroom facilities. Very messy, small and were used by beach goers. They should have a dedicated restaurant washroom.
... a shame that the Lobster on Brioche is no longer on the menu
Great fish and wine list. Service was attentive and quick but didn’t feel rushed. Live the Royal!!!
The food and service were top shelf. So were the prices. Worth it to eat right on the ocean at the world famous Waikiki. Raymond is a total pro as a server, perfect blend of efficient and friendly. Delicious food.
Used for a casual but important business dinner which resulted in success.
Had a lovely dinner overlooking the beach and sunset. We enjoyed the asparagus soup and both had the Island Spiced fish for our main course. It was excellently prepared. They had a nice list of wines by the glass, including an unpacked Chardonnay. It was a thoroughly enjoyable meal in a beautiful setting.
The restaurant itself was beautiful, we were seated at a table right along the beach. Our server was an absolute delight. I came here to propose to my girlfriend and they made every part of the evening an amazing experience.
We had a table right next to the beach. Watched a beautiful sunset as we enjoyed our drinks. The dinner and service was wonderful. It is very expensive, but worth every penny. If you are visiting, don't miss it.
Guest were vaping next to us and manager did nothing???
Everything was amazing!! Ambience, service and food was perfection.
夕食で利用しました。お店のサービス、雰囲気ともによく 食事も魚貝料理がとても美味しかったです。また 食べに行かせてもらいます(^^)
Scallops and tuna dish very tasty but red snapper was just okay. Kinda of expensive. Service very good.
Azure is a beautiful restaurant their staff is extremely kind and accommodating. Gorgeous beach view. Overall a wonderful dining experience
we were seated next to the beach. The beach area right next to our table was littered with trash. Kinda ruined the mood. Food was very expensive for what they give u. all the servers and staff were very friendly. I have been here 3 times before and i think this will be the last time.
We celebrated a birthday and recent engagement. The entire meal was delightful!
Great all around. Food was very good and view fantastic. Service great.
Limited menus choices.
Fusion style sashimi (with salad veg. that did not complement sashimi).
