We’ve had a great time and the food was awesome! Totally recommend this restaurant! Specially for a special occasion or a date. It’s good to make the reservation in advance because you can call and ask for a table outdoors. The view is breathtaking.
Was seated next to outdoor patio bar, so a bit loud from a couple of tables.
Over the top good! Alexandra was amazing. So smart and knowledgeable and made us feel right at home. Thank you for another flawless dinner
Great service, food, and view. Would recommend for a special occasion.
We ate outdoors on the terrace and the setting was so beautiful. The food and service were excellent. I can’t wait to visit again!
Great food, staff and service. Attention to detail was apparent throughout the entire experience.
Wow the view was spectacular. I should have read all the reviews first before we went. Only offer 3 or 4 course meals and a 6 taste menu. Waaaay over priced the food was good but not worth it at all. I wish they published the prices on the menu $120/ 3 course meal. I know it’s Napa but that was crazy. Great service and a spectacular view
Amazing! Every year for 7 years and blows me away every time. Better than French Laundry IMO
My wife and I joined a friend at Auberge du Soleil last week. We hit up a number of the nicer spots while in Napa and Sonoma valley. For the most part, we had excellent experiences, though Auberge was ultimately a disappointment.
Auberge is in an absolutely beautiful setting. The view from the Terrace is stunning, arguably the best in Napa for lunch. The wine list is excellent, with many thoughtful inclusions from smaller boutique wineries in the region. The food is good, though not amazing. One dish of note was the gnocchi with wild mushrooms. Including the time we've spent in Rome and Florence, these were perhaps the best gnocchi I've ever had. While I enjoyed the short ribs with chanterelles, they were not especially memorable, though in fairness this may be due to the fact that I had a similar dish a couple of days later at Mustard's Grill which was earth-shatteringly fantastic.
The service was rather stiff and cold, and somewhat unattentive, considering how few tables they have. We ordered bubbly to start and I had to get up from the table and retrieve the bottle myself a number of times. We ordered a Cab Sauv dominant Bordeaux style blend which probably should have been decanted, but was not. Perhaps the worst issue was the manner in which they handled my friend finding an eyelash in her Halibut Crudu. While the manager managed an apology it included a completely inappropriate and chastising remark about her having the use a magnifying glass to find the hair. They removed the item from the bill and offered to bring another, but made no other gesture to make things right. This may seem like a small thing but is unacceptable for a Michelin starred establishment and a $500 lunch for 3.
While I did enjoy elements of my visit to Auberge, with as many excellent choices as there are in the area, I probably won't return. They also need to take a closer look at their service and need to take ownership of their failings when they occur.
Awesome experience with such creative cuisine plus lovely view. Services are good and waiters are friendly. Have to experience any least one meal when you visit Napa. Remember to make a reservation first!!
Easily the best meal I’ve had in quite some time. Everything was cooked perfectly.
The views are beautiful but unless you are super hungry I would recommend skipping the overpriced meal options which only gives you a choice between 3 or 4 course dinners! Who eats that much after a day of wine tasting? Instead just order from their bar menu.
Beautiful setting, amazing food and staff
Spectacular views of the valley. Beautiful scenery on the deck. Wonderful menu. Love eating here!
Celebrating our Anniversary
Best dining experience I could ever imagine.
Simply amazing food, service, and ambiance. Absolutely perfect! Go for the 6 course tasting menu with the wine pairing...this along with the view of the valley will be the epitome of your trip!
Celebrate our anniversary. The waiter’s assistant, Jesse provided very good customer service👍
Very nice view. Some dish were excellent but some were mediocre.. $500 without any alcohol is kinda overpriced for what I get. Good experience but once is enough. Never again.
Auberge is always a lovely experience! We took some friends that had never been and they absolutely loved their lunch.
Elegant atmosphere, spectacular views, attentive service, amazing food. Can’t wait to go back. Worth every dime
Amazing view! Great food and wine
True commitment to customer service. I accidentally made my reservation for the wrong day and the restaurant still accommodated me with no question. This, plus stellar wait staff, on top of amazing food. There needs to be another star category for this level of service.
Breakfast menu was phenomenal and our server, Victor, was outstanding. Can’t beat it he view either. A go-to when in town.
Loved it there!!!!!!! A must see!
Service and food were outstanding. Views are lovely- great place to eat outdoors and enjoy the finest of what the Napa Valley has to offer.
Incredible in every way
Great food and service. Would have been even better if we could get a table with a better view as our table is at a corner right behind some trees.
Great place to take truly great friends and family.
The place is not as I remembered. It is a bit worn now. The food was Good but not great. The wines were tremendously overpriced and not really very good. It seemed that the sommelier’s job was to point you to the most expensive item rather than the one that would complement your food. We had a three course meal, with two amuse bouche, a palate cleanser, mignardise and yet we were out in one hour 15 minutes. I’ve had more leisurely dining in a diner!
I would not recommend this place.
Absolutely the best!
Wouldn’t have changed anything. The food was sumptuous, the service was impeccable, the view was delicious. So
The view was amazing. The service and food were excellent. Sat outside on the patio but had a bee issue while we were dining. Staff from the hotel sat close to us (in the bar area) and their language was a little “rough”. The cost for dinner was a little pricey ($500 including tip for the two of us). Did order a $100 bottle of wine that we could have night for half that at a store. We were delighted with the food and service. We did have a bee issue during the meal which was annoying to say the least. I guess that’s the price you pay for a great view outside on the patio. :)
Deserves it’s Michelin Star!
I was disappointed. The view has always been great. The service was great. The food however has gone to hell. I may return but only for a drink, not to eat. Sad to see a once great restaurant slide downhill.
Lovely place with scenic view but the food was only okay.
Gorgeous scenery and delicious food. The gnocchi and foie gras were decadent and wonderful.
We had the tasting menu. The food was very good however the service was mechanical and uninspired. Staff had little understanding of what they were serving and no Understanding of the wine pairing which the wine director was not there to explain. Finally each course seemed to have the same shape.
Overall a spectacular venue but a disappointing dinner for a one star restaurant
