This is a great place for a special occasion. It is pricey but the food is absolutely wonderful. The view of Napa Valley is beyond compare.
Muy buena experiencia culinaria en un entorno increíble
Birthday lunch with a good friend on the veranda. I hadn’t dined at Auberge for a few years and the experience- beginning at valet parking through seating on the veranda and a birthday dessert was wonderful. The food was delicious and a good value. We both had the three course fixed price lunch- silky corn soup, tender and juicy grilled chicken with a ricotta stuffed zucchini blossom and lemon sorbet with buttermilk pane cotta and the most perfect sweet peaches and blackberries. Sparkling rose made it that much more festive. The presentation was beautiful as well. Service fabulous- from someone bringing me a shawl to keep me warm until the sun warmed me up to attentive but not instructive check ins. I want to return and highly recommend all things Auberge.
Outstanding dining experience. Pure perfection in the most beautiful area of the USA
There is not a better view in Napa, maybe even California...or the world. Jk, but it was amazing. View is what you come for, but ambience is great and food was fantastic. Pricey but worth it. I'd definitely recommend.
i anticipated a wonderful evening and was indeed a wonderful evening. Food & service was terrific. The view was spectacular on the deck. What I didn't expect was a wine list that had lots of wonderful & reasonably priced wines by the glass. My wife & I were able to start with champagne before dinner and then have a nice Cab with dinner.
I have eaten here multiple times now and will not be going back. The food over the past few years has failed to inspire, while the service has been subpar in terms of creating an enjoyable ambience. Customers dont seem to be enjoying themselves - more because the staff appear miserable. They are not engaging, don't really like to explain the details of the menu or potential choices on the wine list., while our sommelier was surly for some reason - which is unusual when you spend $350 for a bottle of wine. At this price point - where dinner & wine comes to ~ $280 per head - I expect to have the time of my life. What a disappointing end to our stay. On the other hand, French Laundry continues to deliver. Auberge needs to figure itself out asap before becoming irrelevant.
Just amazing. Not a flaw in service or execution. Delicious!!
Recommended by a friend and was totally amazing
I love every thing about this restaurant except one thing. I was given 2 pieces of burned bread.
Food very good as to be expected. Meet and greet and service just about adequate. Very little interaction from staff compared to other tables we observed.
Everything is as good as expected! Wonderful time with food and service and d all! Will certainly go again!
Overall a wonderful experience. The service and view from the patio were exceptional. It was a quiet, intimate spot, great for a date. Food and wine were great as well.
Had the corn soup with shrimp, the lobster omelet, and the trio of sorbets. My friend had the gnocchi, waygu beef, and the chocolate mint torte. My friend enjoyed all her courses. The corn soup was good, but it only had 3 micro sized shrimp. If they hadn't presented the bowl first with the shrimp visible and then poured the soup over them, you wouldn't have known they were there. The lobster omelet had great flavor and a fair amount of lobster, it was all claw meat. I would have enjoyed it more if I didn't spend so much time checking for shell fragments. In the first third of the omelet I had 4 pieces of shell. The potatoes were over cooked, cold, and bland. They offered to make another, but I didn't want to have to wait that long again and I'd have been just as skeptical about another one. They also asked if I wanted something else, like a second of the first course or another mimosa but I declined. We were asked if we wanted hot tea or coffee before dessert and my friend asked for the hot tea. Desserts came and the sorbets were nice and refreshing. They had strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry.
When the bill came, I had to ask about the deposit for the reservation not showing up. They explained it was more a hold for being able to charge a no show and they hadn't actually charged a deposit. There was no change in price for the inconvenience of the omelet full of shell. And, they charged my friend for the tea. It was offered by the server as if it was included as part of the pre-set meal price. I've never been anywhere that offered coffee or tea with dessert that charged extra for it. Not once did the server mention it was an additional cost when it was offered.
If we were the 2%, we’d do this much more often! We had an absolutely scrumptious milestone birthday brunch on the deck overlooking the valley. The prix fixe is steep for brunch, so I don’t think it’ll ever qualify as a good value, but it’s delicious and the setting can’t be beat. Great for a special occasion. We thoroughly enjoyed oysters on the half shell, poached shrimp salad, gnocchi with wild mushrooms, lobster omelette, Cabernet short rib, and duck confit hash. The chocolate, strawberry and peach desserts were the perfect way to end the meal.
I always visit Auberge du Soleil every time I visit Napa area. The 5 star food/wine/service never disappoints me. Great view overlooking endless Napa valley vineyards.
Fantastic staff made us feel welcome and special! Food off the plant - try the gnocchi with mushrooms and Parmesan foam!
The food and the service were phenomenal. The meal was a meal to remember and it we went for our first year anniversary. We were more than pleased.
Main course (seared tuna) was great, appetizer and dessert - quite good
It’s not going to be cheap....but it entirely worth it.
Outstanding on every level. The best of the best!
Very nice experience. Spectacular venue, table was perfect for our anniversary. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Food was excellent except for one of the main courses (the maitake mushroom tempura) on which the main attraction (the mushrooms) were bland/flavorless.
Gorgeous views and amazing food
What a wonderful view! The staff was fantastic, and the food was delicious!
Simply one of the best.
Birthday. Food was outstanding. Service was excellent.
An elegant and gorgeous lunch with professional staff and excellent food and wine!
We always have enjoyed dining here throughout the years. Lunch or brunch is especially wonderful as the view from the terrace is spectacular. Cuisine was delicious and artfully presented. Service a bit uneven as I don’t believe that at a table of two the back waiter needs to “auction off” the food . He or she should know exactly what position at the table gets what plate.
Even with the faux pax, we look forward to another visit.
Great brunch with an amazing view! All the food was excellent. Only small complaint we had was that my wife and I both seemed to notice a change in the attitude of our waiter from before to after we ordered a bottle of wine. Better attitude and more pleasant after it became apparent we would spend money beyond the pre fixe $75/person brunch menu. Not major, maybe he was having a bad day, but would expect a consistently positive service experience throughout the meal from a Michelin starred restaurant. Overall a great meal though, we would definitely go back.
Awesome food and views
If you seek a fancy night out with your significant other with the most spectacular views of Napa Valley, Auberge is the place! The food was excellent, with portions steady enough to eat your way through at least four courses. The wine list "tablet" was full of choices, including all of the magnificent wines from Napa and the globe. ANYONE can find what they like on their list and MORE! Great bar to have a drink while you wait. Top notch place!
Superb service, the best view in Napa, and a fantastic meal every time we get lucky enough to dine there.
The manager was incredibly rude when I booked this reso for a dual birthday celebration including a 50th but I really wanted this view - which is stunning.
The salmon pizza was less than spectacular - there was nearly no creme fraiche on it at all, the crust was soggy and eggs were hammered. The salmon itself was delicate and perfect though.
This is great place for special occasion. The outside seating view is breathtaking. The service was great the food excellent. There was a party near us who were exceedingly noise. The restaurant comped 3 drinks that we had.
Fantastic views over the valley - perfect for a summer’s day lunch... however, the food was a major disappointment and not up to our admittedly high expectations.
Auberge du Soleil has been first rate for a long time. We went for lunch to celebrate our anniversary, sat out on the patio on a beautiful afternoon. The service was faultless and the food worthy of the restaurant’s Michelin star. The food is reasonably good value given the quality and setting. Very well selected wine list but my impression is that the wine we had was very expensive, with more of a markup than I have experienced at other similar quality restaurants. For a special occasion, though, this place delivers!
Whilst the view was amazing, the food overall was disappointing for a Michelin-starred restaurant. We had to return the shrimp salad as the shrimps were mushy and not very fresh. That said, the roast chicken salad was good. Mains (pork chop and short rib) were OK, was not blown away. Would recommend to go for the view during the day and without the Michelin expectations. Alternatively, the bistro next door has similar million-dollar views though we didn't try the food so can't comment.
When I made the reservation, I indicated that we were celebrating a birthday. It appears that no one took notice - very disappointing.
Food was really good. Although the place is too dark to enjoy the food. Oftentimes I would look closely too the food I am eating just because the place is too dark I can't make out some of the things thats on my plate. Overall, food was topnotch and service was excellent.
