10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND. This place was hands down a gem of a dinner spot in Houston's Midwest neighborhood. I can't rave enough of how well the food was executed and served with warm service as well. I came here for my college graduation celebratory dinner and literally couldn't be happier with my reservation through the Yelp app/Open Table. The food itself is worth coming for, as practically EVERYTHING on the menu is AMAZING (and we ordered A LOT of food). I will say that my pizza cheese was so soft and fresh that it fell of the crust as I was eating it, but Mamma Mia that crust baked in the stone oven was #goals. The top two pasta dishes of the night were the crab-filled ravioli in their homemade cream sauce, as well as the shrimp fettuccine with cilantro pesto sauce (don't be shy to try it if you don't like cilantro--it brings out a pleasant balance to counteract the creamy sauce). Lastly, DO ORDER THE DESSERT. Our table's top three choices of the night were: Apple puff pastry a la mode, flourless chocolate cake a la mode, and tiramisu (with a light orange chiffon cake-like taste). We loved it all washed down with red and white wine. Mmmm. Oh, and do try the truffle fries for me!! xx HS
Don’t miss this hidden gem. Fabulous food, friendly staff, the owner is active in walking the room, greeting folks and talking to regulars. It’s charming and delicious.
My wife and I have been going to Arturo Boada for 3+ yrs and dine there every time we come to Houston.
Chef owned and excelling in Italian and some Mediterranean cuisine Boada is as good as it can get.
From the clams or mussels in broths to grilled fish and or homemade pastas the list goes on. And btw they have a wonderful wine selection. The service attentive and the vibe is warm and friendly. You’d think you were in a local trattoria in Florence.
Enjoy the ride
Fantastic service, setting and food. Cannot wait to go back!
Fantastic food, excellent service & really nice/relaxing evening. Can't say enough good things about Arturo & his staff. Best seafood!!!
Had a great evening and the food was absolutely delicious! A highly recommended place to visit and to celebrate an important occasion!
We always like going to Arturo Boada but this was the best experience we’ve had! The wine was great! The food was delicious! It really couldn’t have been better. We will be back.
As always, the food here is delicious and the staff is friendly and professional. Our absolute favorite neighborhood restaurant!
Phenomenal cuisine! Love the fruit DiMare, the flounder was excellent and the artichoke ravioli exceptional!!! Cant say enough!
First class, as always!
This place is outstanding. The food is excellent, and so is the staff!
Awesome service great food fast service smiles and the ambiance was perfect.
Very good food, just not quite excellent as I had expected. Definitely will return and give it another try
Great food and service
I have been to Arturo Boada in the past but not recently. It seems the quality of the food has declined. We were rushed through our dinner and the waiter was not attentive. Had to wait to get additional cutlery when the main course came. I had the ravioli; pasta was hard and it was swimming in what appeared to be plain whipping cream. My husband had the fish special, it tasted fishy and had an odd sugo rosa sauce combo with cilanto on the fish.
For Desert we had tiramisu- I think it tasted like cool whip with grated orange peel in the cool whip.
Fabulous, as always! Everything here is top notch!
Birthday!! We love the food and family quiet style! It’s priced like Carrabbas but worth it!! Great wine and cozy!!!
Outstanding food and service. A basket of the bread rolls would’ve been a nice touch, instead of having to ask for more.
This was the best food I've had in a long time. We even purchased a bottle of his marinara sauce to take home. Our waiter was amazing, the atmosphere was quaint and everything on the menu looked outstanding. We will definitely be coming back here.
First time at this restaurant. Amazing. Great food. Great service. Was a fantastic meal.
Food was fabulous
Service was excellent
Amazing food per usual and excellent service. Matt always takes good care of us.
First time and will definitely be back. Matt provided outstanding service and recommendations, Arturo personally checked on our table and the other patrons were friendly and engaging. What a gem!
What a charming little place. It’s cozy, simple and the staff is amazing! They really cared how you were enjoying your food and wine. The wine list is is well curated with meaningful Italian wines.
The clams were prepared with a delicious buttery wine broth, the homemade ravioli special with artichoke filling was....yum!! Lamb chops cooked to perfection and sweet, creamy creme brulee on six spoons for a lovely finish....so perfect to share!
Best new year's Eve dinner! Our waiter , Matt was awesome. The dinner & wine was over the top. Our favorite spot !
There is no way paella can be cooked in 10 minutes. But they did it and it was horrible. The tuna tartar was tasteless. The risotto was also lacking of flavor. The cost of a meal for 4 should not be almost $300 with one glass of wine per person.
Great Italian food in a cosy setting, European style! We had a lovely time!
Friends got married and gathered at the restaurant afterwards.
Spectacular as always!
As always, we really enjoy everything about Arturo Boada's! The waitstaff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Food is awesome!
Wine or beer only is the biggest downside. Basically average food at a elevated price.
So glad Arturo is not merely enduring but continuing to prevail. As always, the service, food and ambience were spectacular. Arturo Boada's remains a classic, unique, low-key neighborhood gem that's full of character and charm. It's the antidote to big, gross, high-powered, mediocre chains. It would be a travesty for it to fall victim to the pandemic, so please do what you can to support it.
Perfect dining experience: high-quality fresh seafood expertly cooked, and spot-on service from charming William. I'll be back soon and often.
first when you walk up to the door they take your temperature and give you hand sanitizer if you want it. it makes you feel better about being out to dinner. they only seat every other table so there is a table between you and the other guest. then the wait staff
does a great job explaining the Menu and the nights specials. if you do not see exactly what you want they are great about making changes to the dish to accommodate you.
food was excellent. Arturo Boada always comes by to make sure you enjoyed your food.
Quaint spot that gives you five star good and service without the hefty price tag. My only criticism is the interior design. If they took down and replaced some of the art, it would match the quality food. The Mama’s
Ravioli is exceptional and the fish is too. Cant go wrong, would visit again.
Always an amazing experience with Arturo and his fabulous staff! Will be back again soon! :)
Food was pretty good and the service was excellent and we were attended to very well. Prices were steep - very expensive considering small portion size and non—premium location of restaurant.
Food is always excellent. A neighborhood gem! First time we had French onion soup and the branding. Both were great!
Dinner was amazing. Great food. Good wine. Great dessert. Everything was nearly perfect
Small intimate little place. All menu items including pizzas outstanding. Veal chop pricey but worth it. Food preparation is outstanding.
