Fabulous experience. Arrived 30 minutes early and the bar was full but the bartender proactively found us and brought us some wine while we waited.
It was a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was full. We were seated right on time. Wait staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly.
We are foodies and were not disappointed. Starters were incredible. Chicken liver pâté with Dijon mustard. Wow. For our main course my wife had the lamb and I had the tenderloin. We savored every bite. Spices, sauces, and seasonings thoughtfully done.
Since the outdoor patio is closed the place was packed and quite noisy. The food has always been excellent however last night 3 out of 4 dishes were so salty we had to send them back. They did the right thing & took those items off our bill, however it was disappointment. Perhaps they have a new chef? No idea, but not good. For now I cannot recommend them until e go back & see if they have fixed the problem
A perfect evening with exceptional food & service!
We dined at Arroyo Vino last night and, it being the first few days of re-opening I’d say they did pretty well. They have installed sound tiles to deal with noise and looked like a new ventilation system too (?). The food was quite good as usual, but a limited menu and very limited wine by the glass menu. One main and noticeable difference from past times dining there was the complete absence of tablecloths. The tables were bare tops and not set - instead we were given our utensils wrapped in a cloth napkin. Not what you’d expect from a fine dining establishment. They need to either step it up to the level of other fine dining restaurants or decide to become a more casual eatery with commensurate pricing and atmosphere.
All of our dishes were very good. Two diners had duck ( excellent) and two had salmon ( excellent) Starters were soup, and squash blossoms ( GF as a bonus) .
Chocolate torte for dessert. Cocktails had a kick to them. Couldn’t be faulted.
Service, especially Hannah, was excellent. Air Conditioning was a bit too strong. Food, pate, scallops, and salmon were excellent. The wine was fitting to the meal.
At a time when so many restaurants are struggling with staff, the crew at Arroyo Vino is outstanding! Great waiter, a bartender who rolls up her sleeves to help where needed…what a wonderful team!
We had a lovely dinner and highly recommend Arroyo Vino. The focaccia bread with creamy goat cheese spread was truly awesome and we enjoyed splitting the delicious salad. My husband loved his Pork Lomo which was done to perfection with a really high quality piece of meat and I really enjoyed my hand made tagliatelle with pork and suga sauce. Desserts were excellent too. My only suggestion would be that they add a few more menu items that would give those of us who can't eat fish more options.
Great they have reopened. Good to see many of the same people. The excellent food and service I remember from before COVID.
If we could give it 10 stars we would! Enjoyed every minute and our server Johnathan was so attentive! And it may just be a bread, but the Rosemary Foccacia is the best we ever had! You might as well just have that for dessert (I did! ). Great wine selection very fairly priced. Worth the short drive out of town. Can't wait to go again on our next trip to Santa Fe!
Food was great with a nice wine selection. The sardines were delicious as were the scallops and lamb. Highly recommended
The food was delicious. One of us had the duck and the other the scallops. For appetizer, we shared the blistered shishito peppers. For dessert we had panna cotta, one caffè latte and one caffè corretto. Our cocktails were very good, wine very good. One of us had a glass of Porto after dessert. The service was very pleasant.
They have a “pasta man” that beings simple ingredients to life beyond description. Thin, delicately flavored and served in a super hot bowl.
What more does one need for dinner when they have found the best!
Outstanding food and and service! Highly recommend.
One of our favorite restaurants in Santa Fe. Everything about the food was absolutely delicious. I can’t remember when I enjoyed soft shell crab more. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us excellent suggestions. We dined pre opera and the kitchen promptly got our orders handled with plenty of time to enjoy the meal.
Always enjoyable. The food is wonderful and the menu choices great. Service generally is good, but very slow with the first drink order. This was consistent with the other times we have eaten here. You are seated promptly, but then wait 10 minutes or more for your first beverage.
So happy Arroyo Vino is back up and running. They did not skip a beat. The food and service was excellent. Will be back often.
Finally open after a kitchen fire. Everything was as great as it was before! Happy they are open again.
Great evening. Food delicious and service excellent. So happy they are open for dining again. Missed this neighborhood gem
We feel so lucky to have Arroyo Vino as our "neighborhood bistro"! Fantastic wine selection and the food is extraordinary - high quality and creative without being overly fussy.
Great restaurant away from the crowds. While not gastronomically remarkable, Arroyo Vino offers a well run attractive restaurant, with a comprehensive menu. Carefully-prepared food arrives in well-timed procession. We started with chicken liver pate, followed by a cavatelli pasta with pork, and for the main a duck breast cooked in five spice powder which was succulent, well seasoned and utterly delicious. Service was attentive, without being intrusive, the wine list was good, and best of all we were not subjected to a sound system cranked up to keep the wait staff happy! Well done!
We were so happy to finally dine in person after a long year of Covid closures and the unfortunate kitchen fire. We saw the newsletter and Instagram notice that Arroyo Vino was back open with the same chef, staff and great food/wine. Indeed, it was as promised and even better. Had the focaccia which was to die for as was the scallop starter with sweet onion marmalade that was so good I wiped the plate clean with my 2nd piece of focaccia. My dining partner started with the crab salad with fried green tomatoes. Another awesome dish. We followed with the duck breast and Lomo entrees which were perfectly executed and ample in size (we each took half home so we had room for dessert). We ended the meal with the vanilla bean Panna Cotta and Warm Cherry Financier both were fantastic. Last but not least, Jonathan's service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Loved discussing wine options/pairings for the courses we ordered with a true expert in his field.
It was so very nice to dine on AV’s first night in so very long. You could not tell that the kitchen hadn’t been practicing their craft in months. The food and presentations were fantastic. The cavatelli was extraordinary with Sicilian flavors; the duck slices, pancakes, and hosin were a fun take on Peking duck; and the shashimi was a perfect opener. I also really loved the wine list and we picked a delicious Granacha from Spain.
Amazing as always! My only wish is that they had more sake on the menu.
Overall as expected. Higher end dining in Santa Fe … first day back open from extended closure …. takes time to ramp back up to full stride. We’ll be back to be sure …. See if some of the bumps are then ironed out.
Reasonable price but average food
We are so happy to have Arroyo Vino open. We love having it in the neighborhood.
Excellent, interesting, creative and satisfying food with excellent and friendly service. A deep wine list we could never get through! Not much more you could ask for.
Consistently excellent food with lovely presentation. The dining room is understated and pleasant. I haven’t seen the waiter before; he wore a mask with an exhaust valve which defeats the purpose, but otherwise it was lovely.
Firing on all cylinders. From the fresh burrata to the black cod to the exploding truffles everything was awesome.
This was our first time, and we are glad we went. Spacing between tables was very good. Decor is bright and colorful. The wine list (and associated wine shop) was excellent. Food was pretty good - roast beets, pasta with octopus, duck, halibut all tasty and cooked just right. Prices are a bit high but we enjoyed outselves.
Really appreciated that there was plenty of space btwn tables and there was enough staff to take care of all of their customers effectively.
Superb! Our third visit.
Everything we had exceeded our expectations. Get the duck and farro salad.
I have been going to Santa Fe for a number of years now and this might be some of the best food I have ever had. The staff was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the food and their wine selection. Will definitely be returning!!!
Incredible service- passion for the foods being prepared and served. True professionals that made us feel comfortable and at home. And oh the food was out of this world! This is our favorite place in Santa Fe. It has it all- fantastic service, ambiance, food from heaven and value.
Always fresh, inventive and delicious! Great wines too!
Great food, organic choices, and the Chef even prepared me a vegan plate not on the menu.
