   Last minute decision to go to AV, spurred by the burger: "Smash Burger & Fries (texas wagyu beef patty, housemade sesame seed bun, green chile, bacon jam, garlic aioli, gruyere). We added the Butter Lettuce Salad (shaved cucumber, avocado, almonds, dijon-tarragon vinaigrette, crispy shallots)... and tried two wine pairings.... Ended with a delicious digestif: a heritage Madeira... yum. Once again, delightful ...

   Every dish was unique and delicious. Cocktails and wine were yummy. Service impeccable. Love this restaurant!

   Wonderful dinner - this was my first visit to Arroyo Vino, and I'm so glad to find such a gem. The food and wine were outstanding and creative, a refreshing change from typical run of the mill options. I especially appreciated the awareness and offerings for vegetarian / pescetarian and gluten free folks. I will return, and highly recommend!

   An Equinox celebration dinner! The deck not yet open, but soon.... Nonetheless, we enjoyed a top-notch meal, as always: We ordered the Chicken Liver Pâté as soon as we were seated... and I a Scandi Margarita. Three other shareables were irresistable: Flash Fried Brussels Sprouts, Turmeric-Yoghurt Roasted Cauliflower, and New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp & Heirloom Corn Hushpuppies. Superb all! Hamachi Tartare and the Farro & Arugula Salad (with asparagus!) followed. The Grilled Heritage Pork Chop topped off the meal. Arturo was our affable server; Chef visited to say hello. Hannah suggested a wine new to AV: Xisto ilimitado from Douro Portugal... wow! ...a mineraly powerhouse.

   A thoughtfully constructed menu -- not too many items but a wonderful range of choices. We enjoyed each and every dish -- especially the endive and pear salad as well as the flounder main dish. The service was impeccable -- quick, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the wine selections, portions for the various menu items, etc. Overall, a lovely atmosphere. Hushed though very busy and welcoming.

   Arroya Vino is in a lovely setting on a hilltop outside of Santa Fe. Simple, artful, comfortable decor. Nice ambience. The menu is interesting, offering good-sized sharables and larger plates. Trying each other's dishes was fun. But several of the dishes (the brussel sprouts, the cauliflower, the pear-endive salad, the sweet potato tajine) were ambitious (enticing ingredients) but were decidedly bland or the combination of ingredients just didn't complement each other). The Meyer lemon curd tart was grainy and disappointing. To be fair, we loved the chicken liver pâté, the BBQ shrimp and the cavatelli. We ordered 3 desserts, and in honor of my birthday, the waiter presented me with a small dish of (as it turned out) salt with a candle stuck in it. We were astonished. A dish of salt with the candle for a special occasion .....? Overall, we paid a lot of money for a disappointing meal. 22% gratuity added for a party of 5.

   Our dining experience at Arroyo Vino last night was superlative! The ambience, service by Jonathan Ashworth, and the food were excellent. At times, the noise level seemed a bit too energetic for my husband who wears hearing aids, but he's a fan nonetheless.
